We didn’t get out much this year (spent the entire time building itsa) but this one time we had to go out the funniest thing happened. This would be an example of chat room come to life and we laughed talking about it. The story went like this…. Froggy was working on a laptop for a client. The client needed new ram. Froggy called this computer store we use when we have to (only because its closer than the others, and we have had problems with purchases starting themselves on fire and stuff, but that’s another story) Needless to say, we normally would not shop here, but it was a sunday and this was the only place open, and it was only open until 5. Frog carries a contract with a guy who owns a pawn shop. Usually we will go see him when the store is closed after 8 pm, but tonight we stopped in there earlier as it was on our way home from dinner and froggy just had to pick up a couple of lap tops and get some instructions. I parked the car and went inside with him because, well the store is located in a less than desirable neighborhood, and I would hate to have to wait outside. So in we go. Naturally there are the pawn shop dudes that work there hanging around. There is a customer our guy is dealing with at the counter so we stand around and wait for him. The two younger kids had not been born yet. We lived in an old rented house. They were a young couple when they married and times were tough at this point. My mom stayed home to take care of us two girls and my dad worked and went to school at night. Mom said that she and her girlfriends would watch soap operas every afternoon while us girls would have our naps. (click on to see full image) I remember walking past this building and seeing those people sitting there and stopping and standing there waiting for one of them to look so i could snap the picture. They all seemed to ignore me lol - well most of them. I said. *ahem* Excuse me.. could i get a picture please? *pretending to be a tourist* They, not a one of them responded. No *sure* No *okay* No nothing. So I just took the picture anyway. I wondered if one of them might not come running down the stairs to demand i delete the picture out, but they nonchalantly went about their business, and continued to ignore me.
