It yet another dramatic [and childish] turn in what has become a ghetto soap opera, the Detroit City Council refused to hear Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's budget presentation. This is the first time Kilpatrick has come before council since it voted 7-1 in March to ask him to resign over the text-message scandal.Kwame's face is priceless. He blamed Ken Cockrel and council members Sheila Cockrel and Kwame Kenyatta for the incident.Ken Cockrel said the decision not to hear the mayor's presentation developed this morning in reaction to the mayor's criticism of the council last week that it should focus on its job instead of conducting hearings into the text message scandal.Just earlier this week, the council meeting turned into a shouting match, resulting in one member calling the other "Shrek," which was actually pretty hilarious!HOWEVER! Carmelo Anthony is the most recent baller to cop a charge as he was popped for suspicion of DUI.According to TMZ, the 23-year-old Denver Nuggets forward was driving on Interstate 25 in Colorado at around 4:00 AM when he was pulled over and taken into custody. Anthony was driving a silver Mercedes and police say he was stopped for failing to drive in a single lane and failing to dim his lights.Anthony's attorney, Dan Recht, said, "He cooperated by consenting to a blood test, the results of which will not be available for approximately two weeks ... There was no accident and no one was hurt."He is due back in court on May 14. If they weren't able to determine the alcohol level on a breathalyser, then I suspect the level was on the border of illegal and he'll get a slap on the hand.

Kanye looking at fabric in Tokyo for PastelleI don't do anything I don't love anymore... I loved the flashing lights vid so it didn't matter 2 me if someone one else didn't. While people chase money I pursue happiness. So many people talk about there investments or how much money they have but there's so many rich people who spend a lot of that trying 2 buy a piece of happiness. If there's anything my mom taught me is to enjoy life. I just recorded my first verse in the last 6 months 2 days ago at Bape's Studio in Japan. It felt good and I was inspired. I absolutely lost my mind (in a good way) on the new Glow in the Dark tour. The constant hours of creating helped me 2 keep from loosing my mind in a bad way. Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 am every night, trying 2 fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity. Crystle Stewart, of Missouri City, Texas took the crown this weekend in Las Vegas. Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith, says that she's taking the show to Hollywood as she relinquishes her crown.A 26-year-old entrepreneur, Crystle runs a party-planning and motivational speaking company, as well as modeling professionally. She completed her degree in Consumer Science and Merchandising at the University of Houston. She founded and runs her business "Inside/Out" which aids young women in building self-esteem and volunteers with many organizations in the community. She won a silver medal in the relay at Jr. Olympics and is a fourth generation educator. She says she wants to dedicate her life to international philanthropy.Congrats girl!
