Carrie Underwood looked super-sexy in her short shorts at the 2008 CMA music festival this past Friday. She always looks amazing it’s no wonder Jessica Simpson is scared Underwood will somehow try to win ex Tony Romo back. In Touch is reporting that Underwood is in an ongoing friendship with her ex Romo and Simpson is not too happy: “She is really upset that he’s still communicating with Carrie” says a pal. “She has specifically asked Tony to stop.” “Things got worse for Jessica once Carrie was on the market again after breaking things off with Chace Crawford,” says the pal. I would be scared if I were Simpson, she’s way too dramatic, she’s got the most annoying father on the planet, and she’s been very unlucky in love in the past. Val Kilmer & 50 Cent New BFF’s?!

Val Kilmer attended the First Star’s Fifth Annual Celebration for Children’s Rights event at the Wilshire Ebell in LA over the weekend. It sounds like Kilmer made a new friend while on the set of Streets of Blood. Apparently Kilmer and 50 Cent became fast friends while shooting the movie. Just days after his 10-year-old son’s home burned to the ground 50 Cent gifted Kilmer with a car worth $100,000. Kilmer was reportedly stunned when the rapper handed over the keys to a 1965 Chevy Impala from his extensive fleet of vehicles. “Val was shocked. 50 is an amazing guy and incredibly generous.” 50 Cent’s producing partner Randall Emmett confirms to In Touch Weekly.

She looked stunning in a silver mini dress while onstage. The parade was part of the 38th annual LA Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Transgender PRIDE celebration Produced by Christopher Street West (a non-profit organization), the annual three-day LA PRIDE is one of the largest Pride Celebrations in the United States for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. John Ritter’s portrait has been added to the ‘Portrait of Hollywood’ mural at Hollywood High School in CA. His widow actress Amy Yasbeck, Jimmy Kimmel, and muralist Eloy Torrez were in attendance at the dedication ceremony on Friday. Ritter passed away on Sept 11, 2003 at age 54 after he was rushed from the set of the ABC series “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, after suffering from aortic dissection.

Justin Timberlake and Tony Romo joined Matt Lauer and John Atkinson, a regular guy from Omaha, Neb on the Torrey Pines’ course yesterday disproving Tiger Woodds’ theory that it takes a pro to beat the course. Romo barely broke a sweat playing the first nine holes in 5-over 40 but slowed as the six-hour round wore on. “It got really tough to stay sharp,” he said, nodding toward the 18th hole, where he had his only double bogey after hitting into a bunker. Timberlake’s swing started to go south at the seventh hole when he blew on the ball as it rimmed the hole without any luck and asking the crowd to approve his drop into the rough at the edge of the fairway. He parred the 18th to finish at 27-over 98. Lauer scraped by with a 100 on the par-71 course despite playing with a 6.2 handicap index.
