Sublime Reunites After Nearly 13 Years With New Singer

It’s been almost 13 years since singer/songwriter/guitarist Bradley Nowell, frontman of the band Sublime, died of a heroin overdose inside his hotel room. Since then, multiple albums have been released with previous recordings and new master tracks of previously-released content. Well, on February 28th, Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson teamed up with Rome Ramirez, a 20-year-old from California to play a gig as Sublime. You can watch some footage of the show below. Some fans are outraged by this reunion because they feel like Bradley has been replaced by Rome. Sublime and Rock Band DLC

Ever since the first Guitar Hero game came out, I have wanted to be able to play Sublime. It seemed possible when Guitar Hero 2 was announced, but no Sublime. Then Guitar Hero 3 was announced, and still no Sublime. I gave up hope for a while… Then Rock Band hit the scene and introduced downloadable content (DLC) as a major part of the game. Still, no Sublime. During the summer of 2008, rumors were flying left and right about what bands we would see in Rock Band 2, and Sublime was always on the top of everyone’s rumor track list. It seemed as though Rock Band fans everywhere would have the chance to see and play Sublime in Rock Band 2, but then the official track list was released by Harmonix and still there was no Sublime. Senate Approves Digital TV Conversion Delay

We’ve all been waiting a long time for this digital TV conversion to finally take place, and now we’re going to have to wait even longer. The Senate has just delayed the whole conversion another four months to help everyone waiting for their $40 coupons to buy their DTV converted boxes. This transition was supposed to take place February 17th, but now it will happen on June 12th. All I have to say is Congress and everyone else involved needs to get their act together and get this transition underway. We have been seeing the commercials regarding this transition for months now and it seems like we should have had ample time to get this whole conversion thing over with.

Heath Ledger Wins SAG Award

Heath Ledger was awarded the SAG award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as The Joker in last year’s “The Dark Knight.” This award comes just one week after he was awarded a Golden Globe for his role as The Joker, along with an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
