The advanced copy of Terrance Dean?s much anticipated Hiding In Hip Hop book has been sent to several media folks already. And the folks over at Gawker are highlighting some of Dean?s ?outings?. The book is also going to talk about Dean?s come up in the industry, his early life, and other important parts of his career. Terrance isn?t naming any actual names directly in this book though, which has been publicized as the guide to who?s secretly gay in the hip hop and entertainment industry. But he is revealing folks in blind item form and in much detail. Dean?s friend ?Corey? is a singer-songwriter who was featured on the MTV series The Cut, opened shows for Jay-Z, appeared in a Broadway musical, and then signed with ?Eli, a popular multiplatinum rapper, who had just started a label at the time (in the 90s).? ?Eli was a force to be reckoned with. Mariah Carey was on the Ellen DeGeneres show today and opened up about her marriage to Nick Cannon. I found the fact that Ellen was wearing nightie lingerie over her clothes more intriguing than the entire interview with Mariah. However, Mariah did address the issue of her wedding ring and eluded to the fact that it was custom made just for her. She also stated that the wedding wasn't a publicity stunt and that they intend on having a wedding every year to celebrate their marriage. Sorry, I'm still not believing this "union." Nothing about this marriage makes sense to me. I guess we'll just have to see how this story plays out.

She claims she too, had a sex tape of herself and R that was made when she was underage and that she was paid to hand it over. Which she did. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if you take a pay off, aren't you supposed to, you know, be paid off? As in, don't be telling? What a rip-off. Kells should ask for his money back.

There's a new book coming out called, "How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence", written by a sports memorabilia dealer who used to hang with OJ. Dude says one night after OJ smoked some weed, drank some beer and took a sleeping pill, he muttered, "If she hadn't opened that door with a knife in her hand ... she'd still be alive." "Nothing more needed to be said," dude wrote. "O.J. had confessed to me. There's no doubt in my mind." OJ's current lawyer Yale Galanter said none of dude's claims are true and that he is "a delusional drug addict who needs money".

R&B crooner Lyfe Jennings and hip-hop band The Roots debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 this week, while new discs by Lil Mama and Estelle failed to sell 20,000 copies. Lyfe's third studio release, Lyfe Change hit the charts at No. 4 selling 80,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The newest disc's performance is a slip from the artist's 2006 sophomore set The Phoenix, which entered the charts at No. 2 and moved 136,000 units in its first week. The Roots also did better in sales the last time around, though they hit a notable chart number with their recent release.
