LucasArts confirmed today that massive layoffs had indeed occurred within its developer studio, but would not affect high profile title The Force Unleashed. Unleashed apparently not in jeopardy LucasArts confirmed with Kotaku and several other news agencies today that it has terminated 75-100 employees in a string of massive layoffs, and restructuring that will see QA and production handled by an outsourcing agency.The layoffs also claimed two high profile executives: Shawn Storc, the producer of the Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones games, and VP of product development Peter Hirschmann. The first high-res trailer for Sony's enigmatic Afrika title hit the Net today with all manner of animals, beanie-wearing photographers and even a little remote controlled camera robot.The game appears to be a stealth photography game with both day and night modes, as well as vehicles. Shipments of Sony 's PlayStation 3 games console came in under target at 9.24 million units in the financial year to the end of March, and Sony's gaming business remained in the red, the company said Wednesday.
