Apparently Sony Japan is looking to hire someone to test out their new equipment that is likely a new handheld to follow in the steps of the PSP. PSP 2 gets serious Although it kind of makes sense, who would have thought of looking at a job listing in order to find out some new information about a gaming system? Right now, SCE Japan is on the hunt for someone to be an "evaluator/assessor."What will this person be doing? Testing out a new gaming system of some sort as well as getting to "be part of an advisory staff that will play PlayStation series software on this new machine and check its functionality." Sega hasn't responded swiftly enough to turbulent business conditions, the company says, so they're reducing "fixed cost" and axing upwards of 560 jobs. Whip that smile off your face, Sonic! PC WORLD -- Company revenues were reportedly down across the board, resulting in a revised fiscal forecast and losses of over $235 million when things wrap next month.Before Sega gets to what it's calling "voluntary redundancies across [their] workforce," they plan to close 110 of their least profitable amusement facilities, aka "arcades." After that, they'll dip heavily into their 3,000-plus employee pool and slash nearly 20 percent.Voluntary reductions?
