Janet Jacksons tops the charts with her latest album. To be honest with you Janet sold somewhere around 182,000 in the first week. Isn't that considered to be a flop. Those don't sound anywhere near Alicia Keys numbers or Beyonce. Does this mean Janet can't hang with the young girls. I can't wait to see what Mariah does. Alicia Keys shut all these ladies down. No body is selling like her. Get mad ladies cause your days are numbered.

Will Jae Millz finally get the radio play and attention he deserves. Being one of the nicest battle rappers in the game it was hard to come out from that shadow. Usually when a battle rapper makes records they usually don't hold up well with an audience. Jae struggled for attention for a few years. He battled Ness on making the band and held his own. Then he signed to a major label and never really got heard or pushed the way he should have. Now he is signed with Lil Wayne and young money. Will he get that shine. I know he was probably close to being fed up with the game but its his determination to win that got him to this point. He still has to drop a hot one and sell records so he still has many obstacles to climb. This has made his job a lot easier though. We are looking forward to hearing some heat from Millz with some of the top producers in the game.

Hip hop News: Juveniles daughter is murdered

(Sohh)Georgia authorities have arrested and charged a high school student who they suspect shot and killed the daughter of New Orleans rapper and former Cash Money recording artist Juvenile.According to TMZ, Anthony Tyrone Terrell, Jr. has been charged with killing his mother, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4 - who along with being Terrell's sister is also Juvenile's daughter. The Central Gwinnett High School sophomore has been booked on three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault and is being held in the DeKalb County Jail.Juvenile (born Terius Gray) was arrested back in 2003 for abandoning Jelani. Reportedly a DNA test determined he was her father.

Seems a little strange to me that I keep hearing about the famous Scott Storch having financial problems. This dude was said to make like 15 million in 2007 something like that anyway. Now he was just ordered by a judge to pay back $500, that he owed.A manager and record label executive won a judgment against hit producer Scott Storch, who was sued for failing to pay back a loan to prevent the foreclosure of his home in 2003. David Menefield, owner of the LA Confidential label and former manager of rapper Nocturnal, filed a lawsuit against Storch in May of 2007. Through his attorney Bret Lewis, Menefield claimed he lent Storch's Tuff Jew Productions $100,000 dollars to prevent the foreclosure of his home, when Storch was experiencing financial difficulty in 2003. Storch never repaid the original loan and reneged on other portions of the agreement, including four promised tracks for Menefield's artist, which were valued at $100,000 dollars a piece. TVT Records fires employees and files for protection

TVT records home of lil John has fired most of its employees and if filing for bankruptcy protection. Many record labels are suffering from poor record sales. What ever happened to storing your money away for a rainy day. Labels and people a like think th money will be coming in forever. This is really strange to me because TVT was the top indie label for the past 7 years. No other indie label was rocking like them. It makes me wonder where the other indie labels are at right now. No other information is available about TVT at this point but its not looking good right now.

You guys probably know by now Mr. George Daniels says R Kelly violated his daughter who is 21 years old. His wife was actually R Kelly 's publicist and she recently resigned because she claimed that he slept with their daughter. R Kellys says that they wanted him to date her and they even gave him her number to call. He also said that he hosted a birthday party for her. Its a crazy situation but if she was 21 what was the problem? I thought that was a legal age. For those that don't know George Daniels is the owner of a Chicago record store called George's Music Room.

Well we have a new face in hip hop but he may not be new at all. Rocko was an artist manager for years and now he decided to grip the mike for himself. Not many artists get to have the control over their careers like Rocko. He is the owner of his label that is distributed by Island. So that means when those ringtone sales start racking up he will get a large chunk of it. I like Rocko's music but to me he sounds like Young Jeezy and he talks about similar things like Gucci and all that. I guess I have to hear more from him but the single "Umma Do Me" is cool. Timbaland drops a digital album with Verizon

Super producer Timbaland is embarking on an interesting task to present a single every month to Verizon and at the end of the year he will release a compilation album. Timbaland was quoted as saying "This is the first time this was ever done. No one has released an album for strictly mobile users", he also says not everyone will buy a CD but everyone has a phone. He says he will reach more listeners. Verizon users will be able to download the album and singles as ringtones and ringbacks.

News: Prosecution lacks DNA against Remy Ma

Remy Ma's defense attorney revealed today that DNA evidence prosecutors had been banking on in her assault case can not be found. Apparently they were looking for blood in the victims car but Remy was not shot so the only blood you would find was the victims. Her attorney said it the prosecution keeps this up they will win the case.
