Wow!R&B singer Trey Songz was arrested in Springfield, MA early Sunday (Nov 4) along with several members of his entourage following a shooting outside a local venue. Songz was charged with behaving as a disorderly person and resisting arrest. The singer, born Tremaine Neverson, was released after posting $500 bond. The shooting took place in the parking lot of The Hippodrome, where Songz performed Saturday evening. According to Lt. New clues in the Jam Jay murder have come up. It is said that one of the witnesses claim that the killer had a tattoo on his neck. There are many different stories to what actually happened on that day, but we do know that the man that shot Jay embraced him, and then fired two shots the first hitting a friend seated next to him and the other hitting Jay in the back of the head. Many believe that the police know who did it but it's a matter of getting the witnesses to co-operate. Some say the gun used to kill Jay came from his own house.

T-Pain, born Faheem Najm, was stopped driving a Lamborghini Gallardo in June, but his license had been revoked for being a habitual traffic violator, officials reported. Police issued an arrest warrant on June 15 charging the rapper with a non-moving traffic violation and driving with a suspended license. "He is a habitual offender," Tallahassee Police Department spokesperson Kathy McGhin said. "This is his third charge." T-Pain surrendered voluntarily yesterday morning (November 2). We heard through the grapevine that Brat busted some waitress over the head with a bottle. The ruckus supposedly happened around 1:20 a.m. this morning at Jermaine Dupri's club, Studio 72, on Lawrenceville Highway, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Dekalb County police spokeswoman Mekka Parish confirmed that the 33-year-old rapper (born Shawntae Harris) was involved in an "altercation involving pushing" with a server at the club. "According to witnesses, after the pushing, the waitress walked away, and a short time later, that's when Da Brat picked up a bottle and hit the waitress in the face with it," Parish said. Parish said the rum bottle broke as Brat struck the woman, causing a "deep laceration" to the 23-year-old waitress' cheek. She also suffered swelling to her forehead, and friends took her to a local hospital. Nas may be naming his album the N word. So what does SPATE magazine think of this? Well, we understand what he is trying to do. He wants to take the power away from the word but does that make sense. Basically it's a marketing scheme. The people with the money won't let that happen and if they do then the world may be changing. Simply because there is a lot of pain associated with the word. Would you name your album M*th*f*cker? Do you think that it would change the meaning of the word. If Nas wanted to get people talking about racism then he is a genius and he has succeeded because people are talking. SPATE magazine thinks that maybe that is what he wanted to get people talking.
