?I Trust You to Kill Me,? Review
2007-03-02 22:00:06 On 24 Kiefer Sutherland plays the hard-nosed, no-nonsense Jack Bauer. But, in real life, Kiefer is very different. A while ago I was able to watch Kiefer?s documentary about a band that was on his recording label. The band?s name is Rocco Deluca and the Burden. The documentary was filmed while the band went on tour in Europe, with Kiefer following them around doing whatever he could do to get them noticed. While the film was actually made to get the band recognition, it ends up being mostly about Kiefer and how completely insane he really is. But, don?t get me wrong; he?s insane in a good way. Kiefer goes all out all the time. His determination to get the band recognition is very endearing. He even ends up pimping himself out to do radio interviews about 24 and then he?s able to plug whatever show the band is doing that night. One of the funniest parts of the movie is when Kiefer goes out on the streets to hand out fliers for the free concert they?re showing. Some people reco... Jack Bauer Kill Count Update
2007-03-02 22:00:06 I’ve received quite a few questions regarding how many people has Jack Bauer killed. I would guess that a lot of you are worried about your picks in the Kill Count Contest, I mean why wouldn’t you be? There’s 500 bucks on the line! Well, Jack has officially (as far as this contest is concerned) killed 7 people. I was hoping that when Jack and the CTU team stormed Fayed’s hideout that he would’ve killed more than only 2 people. Jack is pretty slow at being the Merchant of Death he is so widely known for. Let’s hope he’s just warming up. Also, I’m planning on doing a contest when we are half way through the season. So, be looking out for one around the 12th episode. That’s only in a couple weeks, and there will be a season 5 DVD on the line. More About: Update

24 Character Countdown (Episode 10)
2007-03-02 22:00:06 Just a little introduction here. I would just like to thank everyone that has really taken to the Character Count down. Last week was a huge week for the Countdown. It was featured on the front page of Digg, and was also talked about on TV Squad. So, thank you very much. Now on with the Countdown. Tom Lennox (13) -Handed over President Wayne?s itinerary to Reed (-10) -Gave excellent suggestions for Assad?s speech (+5) -Was playing Reed the whole time, who knew? 24 Character Countdown (Episode 11)
2007-02-27 21:58:12 Well, this week was sort of a slow week for 24, because Jack didn’t really do anything this episode. I’m instituting a new rule here at the Character Count down. Any time anyone uses the phrase “it’s complicated” to describe something that’s happening or has happened it’s an automatic -5. Jack is the worst person at doing this and it’s really starting to bug me. Tom Lennox (14) -Was against Reed?s plan from the beginning and had the cajones to admit it (+5) -Tried turning something with his feet, but didn?t successfully do anything helpful at all (-3) Net Gain/Loss: +2 Current Total: 16 President Wayne Palmer (40) -Threatened military action against the Ambassador?s country (+5) -Did so in his most threatening whisper. He was using his ?inside voice,? shh (-6) -Whispered sternly to Logan that he?s a criminal (+7) -Threatened to hunt down Logan if he tries to escape (+5) -Granted Logan?s release even though Logan was the one that ki... 24 Episode 11?4:00p.m.-5:00p.m.
2007-02-27 21:58:12 One question?where was Jack? I think he spent the entire episode putting on a suit to look like a member of Charles Logan?s detail, in order to go interrogate the Russian Consulate. Sorry, I?m getting ahead of myself, I was just a bit mad that we hardly saw Jack at all this episode. So, this is the first time I noticed that gigantic bruise on the back of Morris? head. I?m surprised, that after that beating he took that?s about all he does have. Man, usually when people take beatings from baseball bats and drills they?re in the hospital for a week or so. But, Morris did show us all, that he is kicking the drink, at least for now. He poured down the rest of his liquor, and I bet he was wishing that he would?ve kept his Red Bull. Chloe spent the entire episode covering for Morris. To tell you the truth, it was getting a bit tiresome. But, I think Morris can do his job, and he?ll do it well. I mean he armed a bunch of nuclear bombs after he?d been drilled in the arm and beaten wi... More About: Episode , Piso , Episode 1

2007-02-27 21:58:12 Last episode we were left wondering how is Charles Logan, the idiot President from last season, going to play into this season. What does he know? How does he know Gredanko? I found a lot of previews on YouTube for tonight’s episode. I’ll post them up here and then we can talk about them after the jump. Preview shown after last week’s episode: Here’s a 17 second clip sponsored by Sprint: Here’s a very interesting clip. I don’t know where it came from, but it’s of Gredanko talking about being the ‘real’ bad guy in this season: Come join in on the discussion… As always the preview that was shown after the episode last week is the one that’s the most full of information. So, Charles Logan is back, and by the looks of it he wants his wife back or something like that. The preview was edited in such a way that after Jack said “I think he’s after something else.” It then showed Logan staring...

2007-02-20 15:49:03 Here we go again. As always, here’s the preview for tonight’s episode, let’s discuss it in the comments. Seems like the biggest reveal in this episode is that Jack finally finds out his Dad, Farmer Hoggett, is behind the bomb in the house and everything else that has gone on. He’ll no doubt find out that his Dad was the one that killed Graem. Josh finds out his grandpa isn’t one of those happy-go-lucky grandpas, he’s one of those kill your grandkids grandpas. And it seemed like to me that Tom Lennox was rethinking this whole alliance with Reed. I wonder what their cover is that Reed was talking about. Does anyone have any predictions for tonight? I really hope that Jack finally comes face to face with his Father know what he’s done.
24 Episode 10?3:00p.m.-4:00p.m.
2007-02-20 15:49:03 3:00pm–4:00pm I really liked tonight?s episode, except for a few things, that I?ll talk about at the end. Morris? backstory of being an alcoholic is going to play in later in the season, and I?m really looking forward to that. I mean, what wouldn?t make someone get back on the wagon like arming a bunch of nuclear bombs for a terrorist? (Is it on the wagon or off the wagon, like Seinfeld, I?m not sure?) Jack was able to find Milo and Marylin just in the nick of time, perfect Jack Bauer style. He also added two more people to his kill count. Throwing Marylin up against the wall, choking her (much like what he did to Audrey) was a nice touch. But, I don?t know why he was so bent out of shape about his team being killed. It seems like CTU has an endless supply of them. One of the huge surprises of this episode, at least for me, was the fact that Tom had been playing Reed the whole time. I thought Tom was all for assassinating President Wayne. I have renewed faith in him ... More About: Episode , Piso , Episode 1

New Feature?Live Blogging. What do you think?
2007-02-17 15:45:04 I’ve been pondering over a new feature that I could do for the site, but I need to ask my readers what they think and if it would even matter. I’ve been thinking about doing a live blog while the show is going, but I don’t know how that would go over with all of you guys. Would you be up for such an idea? I would still do the reviews, and the Character Countdown. But, maybe a live blog could be fun. Just my knee-jerk reactions to what is happening on screen. So, I ask all of you, would this be a good idea for the blog? Would you be interested in it? Or is it something no one would really care about, and I should just stick to what I’m doing. Because doing this would require a bit of extra work on my part. Which means I really want to know if it’d be beneficial to the site. Please let me know in the comments, and I’ll make my decision based on what you guys think. More About: Blogging , Blog , Feature , What , Hat

Burning ?24? Questions Answered
2007-02-13 21:39:01 TV Guide has a great interview article on some of the burning questions about 24. They interviewed Jon Cassar and Kiefer Sutherland to get the information on some of the most interesting questions regarding 24. Will Audrey be back? What will happen to Jack in the end? Why don’t 24 characters ever eat? Those questions, and more answered. Some answers are more cryptic than others, but you get the idea. The thing I don’t understand is why do so many people have a problem with the idea that they never see people in 24 eating, drinking, or going to the bathroom? When we are watching we are only focusing on one person. Other people can be doing all kinds of stuff while the camera is away from them. Here’s one of the biggest reveals from the interview: Without revealing any names, how many cast members start this season but don’t make it to the end? ?I know of three for sure,? Cassar says. ?The plan isn’t to bump off characters like we did last season.... More About: Question , Questions , Answer , Burning , Quest
24 Episode 8 & 9
2007-02-13 21:39:01 1:00pm–2:00pm Let me begin by expressing my utter distain for local television news coverage. During the episode tonight, the news felt it appropriate to break into the broadcast not one, or two, but three times explaining about a shooting. Every time they interrupted the show they conveyed as much information as they could have done if they were to use a scrolling bar across the screen. But, they certainly made it a point not to interrupt during commercials. Two times they began and ended right before or after commercials, it was ridiculous. So, with that said, there were some big chunks of the first episode that I missed. I?m still extremely mad about it, but I?m going to try and get through it, for the sake of the review. I liked what I saw of the first episode, it was intense. Morris stood his ground as long he could. Fayed drilled his back for heaven?s sake! But, one thing I was thinking. If Morris is so amazingly smart at just about everything he does. Couldn?... More About: Episode , Piso

2007-02-12 21:38:02 So, last week we found out that Jack’s Dad is the overall mastermind of whatever is going on with this day. We also, witnessed Morris being kidnapped by McCarthy, because apparently among Morris’ many skills programming nukes is one. So, what are we to expect these next two back-to-back episodes? Does anyone have any guesses? Your guesses are as good as mine. 2 full hours of 24, it’s going to be a doozy. Put down your predictions if you’d like, and tune back in tonight for the review.
Episode 8 & 9 Preview
2007-02-09 21:36:02 This is something I haven’t done on here, but I’ve been meaning to. After every episode, and during the entire week FOX shows fast-paced previews for the next week. I want to be able to discuss those previews and see what everyone thinks about them. I know that some people find the previews “Spoilerish,” so if you do don’t watch them. But, I assure you these are the previews from FOX, so they’re shown all the time. Now, if you’ll watch the 2 previews (I put 2 up because they are both a little different) and then after the jump we can discuss what happened in them. Preview shown on TV: Preview shown after Episode 7: The first thing that we can note is that next week is going to be a 2 hour extravaganza. I love these as a viewer, but as a blogger of the show, that just means next week is going to be extra busy. Alright in the first preivew you can notice that Jack is chasing McCarthy’s car in a helicopter. At least it looked ... More About: Review , View , Piso
?24? Movie Definitely Postponed, Kiefer Doing ?Mirrors?
2007-02-09 21:36:02 After all the hype and excitment surrounding the 24 movie it seems like it’s never going to happen. Yes the official word is that it’s being postponed. Kiefer has signed on to do a movie called “Mirror s,” during the hiatus from 24. The same hiatus when Kiefer and the 24 team were supposed to film the movie. Whenever news stories like this come out, it seems like it’s just the higher-ups trying to soften the blow, for when they come out and say the entire idea has been scrapped. For me personally I wouldn’t be heartbroken if they were to shelve the idea of the movie. I keep thinking about it and just can’t figure out a way the movie would work and have the same affect the television show has. More About: Movie , Post , Doing

2007-02-06 21:34:02 Last we left Jack and his Dad were being carted away by his nasty brother’s henchmen. So, what’s going to happen tonight? What can we expect? Well, I’m sure that Jack’s kill count will rise tonight, that’s for sure. He’s got to escape from those two guys, which means probably killing them. What am I saying ‘probably,’ he’ll kill them no doubt. I’m also betting that this is the episode where Graem’s wife, that seems to have a past with Jack, becomes more involved in the story and same with Josh Graem’s (or Jack’s) son. Everything else is up in the air. I’m betting Fayed also finds a new programmer for his nukes, but I can’t be sure about that. It’s set up to be a great one tonight. 24 Episode 7: 12:00p.m.?1:00p.m.
2007-02-06 21:34:02 Last week?s episode was definitely leading up to this episode. We found out a lot of stuff this time around. President Wayne seems to not be as dumb as the Character Countdown makes him out to be. He knows that Tom Lennox had something to do with Karen?s resignation. That restored some of my faith in him. After he shot down Tom?s proposal a second time, I?m really starting to regain some respect for him, but he?s got a hill to climb still. We were also introduced the Vice President this episode, played by Powers Boothe. I?m scared of him. Just looking at him, remembering him from Deadwood and Sin City, this guy always plays characters that are very dark, and very dangerous and this Vice President seems like he?s going to be carrying on the Powers Boothe namesake. At CTU things are just starting to get interesting. It seems for the time being that Milo and Morris of stopped their bickering, which is a welcome change. But, now we find out that Morris is the engineer for the nu... More About: Episode , Piso

More Contests to Come!
More articles from this author:2007-02-02 15:31:03 Well, yesterday was the last day to enter your guesses for the Jack Bauer Kill Count Contest . I really don’t need to mention it because it seems to me that pretty much every number is taken. Thanks for all of you that entered in the contest. I can’t wait to see who wins, and am sad that it can’t be me. It’s tough to say at this time where Jack’s kills are going to end up. He’s only killed two people, but he’s just getting madder so it’s only a matter of time until the body count rises I think. Also, for those of you that didn’t get to enter don’t you worry, we’ll be having another contest shortly where you can win season 5 DVD set of 24. Sound good? We’ve already given away one in an earlier contest, and we’re set to give away another in a few weeks. So, stay tuned to Watching24.com for the details.
