Shilpa wins Celebrity Big Brother

So, that’s it, Shilpa is the winner of Celeb rity Big Brother 2007, with Jermaine Jackson in second place. Congratulations, she came across very well in the interview and is a deserving winner after the abuse she suffered. Will post a full report tomorrow.

Jack Bauer wins the day

It’s been a titanic battle, but Jack Bauer has won the war of my TV set and I’m about to switch over to Sky One for 24. Sorry Davina and good luck to Dirk! That’s the last of the real time reporting on Celebrity Big Brother then I’m afraid, I’ll post a report on the final evictions later on.

Iain ?H? Watkins Big Brother interview

Davina takes Iain to the celebrity big brother interview area, commenting that it’s nice to have such a fantastic reception. Iain looks nervous and says that “he feels like he’s going to pee his pants”… lovely.  3 left then, Shilpa, Jermaine and Dirk, cutting back to the house it’s all calm in there. Iain arrives in the studio with Davina and again is greeted to a great reception. “It’s very nice to do an interview when someone hasn’t been booed on their exit” says Davina. Iain says he’s not gutted to have gone as “he didn’t think he’d last such a long time”. “The dynamic of the group has changed over the time with the changing people. I don’t like conflict and strongly disagreed with one side of the argument.” Davina, “which side?”, Iain: “Obviously Jade’s side”. Jack and Danielle interview

Davina asks the usual, “how are you feeling”, then drops the racism bombshell. Daniel le looks a bit shocked as she views the clips showing the racist bullying and news clips. Various news paper clips flash up on screen… she’s still smiling though. As the clips go on, I think she starts to realise just how serious this is, particularly the flash point argument. “She can’t even speak English properly”, she puts her head in her hands and shakes her head. “I feel terrible”. “I said it in the heat of the moment, everyone was arguing and it just came out. When I was laughing, it wasn’t at Shilpa it was nerves.” Davina points out that she has apologised each time, but points out that apologies are easy after the event. Just 5 minutes until the Celebrity Big Brother final… but who will win? Well, although the bookies favourite is Shilpa by a mile, according to channel 4 Jermaine is their tip to win. I guess there’s a lot of Jackson 5 fans out there! I would guess that Danielle will be the first out of the remaining bunch, but who knows what will happen. I’m torn terribly actually, CBB starts at 8 and goes on till 10, but the 24 double bill starts at 9…. nooooooo! Would Jack ever forgive me if I don’t tune in? Had a bit of a bad hair day today, so I thought I would share a few hair care tips. 1. Test the strength of your hair by pulling a strand taut between your fingers. If it snaps easily it has probably been damaged. Be cautious with the use of hair dryers and heating appliances and use a heat-protective product first. 2. For a light, natural looking finish when using hair spray on fine hair, apply the hair spray to the hairbrush, then brush through the hair thus ensuring even distribution. 3. Use a range of volumizing products to build volume into fine, flyaway hair. A volumizing shampoo can do so much, but using a volumizing shampoo, conditioner and styling spray can make a huge difference. 4. Avoid hair frizzing by not brushing your hair when wet. Only use the brush when your hair is somewhere between damp and dry. Then use the blow dryer and a round brush until it is styled and completely dry. 5. “Spic e World ” has been voted the worst movie of all time in a poll by MSN Movie s. 12,000 British movie-goers voted in the poll, which placed Titanic at second. I’m embarrassed to admit that Titanic would probably be in my top ten fave movies, although I wouldn’t argue with any of the other choices. I guess I’m not alone though as MSN spokesman Mike Lok said: “I’m sure most viewers would admit to getting guilty pleasure from at least one film on the list. Double eviction in Celebrity Big Brother

Well, that’s another two out the Celeb rity Big Brother house after Cleo and Jo were evicted last night. Jo, who was of course heavily involved in the alleged racist abuse of Shilpa was heavily jeered by the crowd, who were chanting “Get Jo Out”. In her post eviction interview with Davina she admitted “Looking at it like that, it looks absolutely terrible”, although she strongly denies being racist. When asked about mimicking Shipa’s voice she claims that Shipa knew all about it and said “We was doing that with her and she was finding that really funny”. Like Jade, will be tough for her to recover from this Shilpa is now the strong favorite to win.

Baby, Baby Spice

Congratulations to Emma Bunton, who has announced she is expecting a baby with long term partner Jade Jones, formerly a member of boy band Damage. Former Spic e Girl Emma is delighted to be expecting and had the following to say. “I guess I will be handing over the ‘Baby ’ tag now to a deserving little new owner” The baby is expected in the Summer and will follow another former Spice Girl, Mel B, who is expecting her second child this Spring. Mel B of course claims that the child is fathered by American actor Eddie Murphy, however, he has demanded paternity tests. Emma will be the last of the former Spice Girls to become a mother, with Geri Haliwell giving birth to her first child, Bluebell Madonna last year and of course Victoria having Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz with Mr Beckham.   Sad to report that Nicol e Kidman has been involved in a car crash while filming a zombie scene in her latest movie “The Invasion”. Fortunately she was released from hospital and does not appear to be seriously injured. More info here

Us girls know our limits

According to a recent study conducted in Australia by insurer AAMI, 45% of female drivers knew exactly how much they could legally drink over a two hour period, while still remaining within the drink driving limit. When the same question was put to men, less than a third correctly stated how much they were allowed to drink. Well, I guess men do have a track record for over exaggerating Anyway, in my opinion even one drink is too many and if you’re going to be drinking at all then leave the car at home. It just takes one mistake.

Lunch with the girls

Just back from a light(ish) lunch with the girls, chicken arabiata pasta with garlic bread and I’m afraid to say a small glass of white wine to wash it down. My New Years resolution to cut down on alcohol is going well…  Sal has the day off Uni and is off to the shops this afternoon with Sophie, who has a baby sitter organised. I’m not jealous… honest!  Ah well, only another 3 and a bit hours to go till the weekend.

If like me, you just love 24 (and Jack Bauer in particular) you’ll love this top 100 facts about Jack Bauer. Absolutely hillarious, my personal favourite is number 12 “Once, someone tried to tell Jack Bauer a “knock knock” joke. Jack Bauer found out who was there, who they worked for, and where the goddamned bomb was.”.  While I’m on 24, just how good was the start to the new series, incredible! Was looking a bit hairy for old Jacky boy at the start, although I just knew he would escape. I can honestly say I didn’t expect him to do a dracula impression in the process though, I just hope he remembered to floss that night. Looks like it could be the best season (or day) to date, a TV treat!

The clever folk at www.petplanet.co.uk obviously had me in mind when they developed this self cleaning cat litter tray, the Purrforma Plus. There’s nothing I hate more than getting in from a hard day at work to be greeted by a present, freshly laid by my furry feline friend, so this would be a god send. Bit pricy at £199.99, but my head is telling me no, while my credit card is screaming yes!

Pete Burns in court

Pete Burn s is suing his plastic surgeon for up to £1 million for a botched lip operation, that left him “repulsive”. Apparently he was unable to eat, sleep or drink and the damage was so bad that another Surgeon told him his lips may have to be ampuated. Gremlins in the works at Channel 4, where all the votes placed on Wednesday night have to be cancelled after a blunder on Shilpas eviction info. While the voice over told fans to “vote to evict shilpa”, the message on screen flashed up “vote to save shilpa”. Rumours of Jade Goody being spotted leaving the channel 4 voting office with a spanner and large grin are unfounded….
