I love when an error works out for the better. We had the last name for the new fiddle/mandolin player incorrect. Caitlin Evanson is the new band member, and some of you may remember her from Bucky's stint on the GAC Country Christmas Tour last year. If you would like to see this talented musician in action, there is a nice electronic press kit of her work on YouTube that you can view here.Remember our favorite photographer about Nashville, Aaron Crisler of Music City Update ? Well, Country Weekly has been keeping him super busy as well as other projects, and I thought y'all might like to take a look at his latest photo in the country issue of People magazine that has Bucky featured with other Nashville Idols. The Augusta Chronicle in Georgia has an article in this morning's edition about this past Tuesday's Guitar Pull concert. The story praises Bucky's vocals and comments on his "capturing the audience". Bucky performed with Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church and others at the annual event. Click the photo alongside the story to see more shots from the concert including a very nice one of Bucky and Don Medlock.Seems silver was a big trend at the CMA Awards last week in Nashville. Love Relic features photos and comments on several country stars and their jewelry including Bucky Covington. Bucky as usual is sporting very nice pieces. I had an under the weather 4 year old up until 6 am. Luckily we have a slow news day today.I know Winnie at Buckymania and I are always talking (ok preaching) about the importance of requesting. Its Good To Be Us has got it's bullet back on the Mediabase Top 500 chart and is at #31. Spins that made the difference in regaining that all important bullet..... 1. It's Good To Be Us is at #32 on the Mediabase Top 500 chart this morning and has moved up to the #33 position on the weighted chart, but as Winnie of Buckymania pointed out .... that bullet could use a boost. Once the video makes the countdowns at GAC and CMT there will be a boost in chart numbers, but we have to keep the momentum going. If you are not sure of where to request in your area, please visit Radio Locator. IGTBU is now a voting option at the GAC Top 20 Countdown, where you can vote once daily for the video. CMT has not added it to the options yet at the CMT Top 20 Countdown but you may want to bookmark it as it most likely will be in the near future. WATE 6 out of Knoxville, TN said of Wagoner, " He was a superstar in his own right, but Wagoner will always be known as the man who helped launch the career of Dolly Parton by hiring her as his duet partner. -- His showmanship, rhinestone suits and pompadoured hair made him famous. His syndicated TV show, "The Porter Wagoner Show," began in 1960 and ran for 21 years."Many of us Bucky fans had the pleasure of seeing Porter Wagoner at the Grand Ole Opry this past March and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. If you missed Bucky Covington and Jason Michael Carroll on Lia last night, head over to her myspace to listen to a bit of them chatting with her about live radio.... and let me say I have a feeling that these two together may be the definition of ornery. Their Raisin' the Bar tour should prove to be quite a show. The tour moves on to San Antonio, TX this evening for a performance at Cowboys Dance Hall. You can purchase tickets online for the over 18 show at Ticketmaster.
