(Rocky fans will be especially pleased with this set I believe).As I mentioned in this previous post, Bucky and the band donated their time to appear at the Kat Country Racing for St. Judes concert recently and for Bucky fans it seemed to be a flashback to the GAC Country Christmas Tour . According to Rocky's official site, Rocky began drum lessons in the eighth grade and at age 22 he joined his first band, Rhizin Kind. Through the years Rocky was also part of Skratch Apple, Rule of N9NE, Caddy Wampus and Swamp Cat and Mista Swamp.Rocky relocated from Rockingham, NC to Nashville recently with his lovely wife Terra. If we amp up those requests to our favorite local stations we should see some movement soon as Bucky is only 20 spins off the song above him and there a few songs fall off the charts in the vicinity.A big thank you to one of my hometown country stations, WGGE Froggy 99, for featuring IGTBU on their "Hop it or Drop it" segment this past Tuesday. All the callers seemed to love the song and it was a "hop it". The DJ said they will be playing it more now.Bucky and the band are in California today for an appearance at the Fresno Fair. Bucky Covington Shows Keep Gaining Bigger Crowds

The band will then head out west to Fresno California for The Big Fresno Fair to perform tomorrow with Miranda Lambert. Visit the Vallitix for ticket info. Fair goers who came to know Bucky through American Idol will have a chance today to catch his buddy Chris Daughtry as well as Daughtry is performing with 12 Stones at 7:30 this evening.Saturday Bucky pulls into New Mexico for the Southern New Mexico State Fair. I thought it would be nice to do a series of bios on the band members to showcase their talent. The series will run the rest of the week and will feature a different musician each day, beginning with lead guitarist Shaun Bayles.Shaun earned a B.M. from the Belmont University School of Music and is co-founder of JigaWatt Productions, a writing team formed with his long time friend Adam Rogers. While working his way through college, Bayles worked at BMI and it was there Shaun became interested in the production music market. According to the JigaWatt website, "the two set off to compose music that would be viable to production music publishing houses and film/television production companies". Bucky Covington Coshocton County Fair Recap
2007-10-02 22:54:00 photo by KathyGEvery time I see Bucky Covington live I think... he will never top that. And then he does. Last night my husband and I (along with several other members of Bucky's fanclub) were on hand in Coshocton Ohio for Bucky's show. Weather was reported to stay at 76 and sunny..... but as it usually goes with Bucky in Ohio.... he couldn't stop the rain. A few smatterings of raindrops hit occasionally and then literally in an instant a downpour drenched us all. Even the instruments had mud splatters. Luckily there were no high winds or lightning to stop the show.Bucky did most of the tunes from his CD and the large crowd seemed to be enjoying every moment of it... even with the long delay due to power problems before the show. Guitarist Shaun Bayles should be called McGyver in my opinion as he struggled with his amps, and then finally came out with cords and a laptop and rigged up sound for a live show. For more info on this event see previous post.Tomorrow brings the band back to Ohio for their performance at the Coshocton County Fair. Admission is $7 which includes Grand Stand Seats for Bucky's 7:00 pm EST show, but track seating is available as well for $5 at the fair office. Track tickets go on sale at 5:00 pm. I will be there, as will several other members of Bucky's fan club so come up and say hi!
