When you are born into the life I was, it’s not surprising the twists and turns would lead most to suicide. Making the decision daily to not do that, doesn’t come easy for me. Most people don’t get a telephone call at home in small town America from Sir Elton John thanking them for their efforts to help end hate and bigotry either. That was when my life changed again and not by my decisions I was able to rationally make. I was born the middle child of seven. Some people say the middle child is the one closest with the mother, not me. That’s what I thought anyway up until I hit thirty five. I was named after my father but I know something happened before I was born that made me end up with the wrong style of genital. When I was a child, people used to say how pretty I was.   So you ask, what does someones mother torturing them as a child have to do with making big money online with a work at home job? I suppose it is revenge. Mom told me I would never amount to anything so, I am out to prove her wrong. I may not be able to do it before she dies though. I don’t believe anyone knows the damage that is inflicted for the rest of someones life if you torture them when they are a baby or child. At least not unless you have been there. I started blogging because I wanted to write about my life and tell people how America was seen through my eyes. Perhaps my perspective on life is different because I have never really been able to trust anyone. Perhaps my view is jaded from being a child abuse and child molestation survivor. I do know that being abused as a child haunts you for the rest of your life in one way or another. I was raised in homes where being prejudice was normal. The word "nigger" was heard everyday and at 12 years of age, my baby sister was thrown out of the home for saying she had a black boyfriend. I left on my own just so I wouldn’t ever have to hear it again.   The little song we had at school on recess was "Eany meany miny mo, catch a nigger by the toe, if he hollers make him pay, fifty dollars every day" I have spent the years since trying to make amends in every way I can for ever letting that word cross my heart or my lips. Actually this is my new GREEN host Dream Host . I hope it works, I just dumped Hostgator and I didn’t have a cheap hosting plan with them. The server was down all the time and that just doesn’t fly with me.  Especially when they don’t even apologize for it. So how many Eco-friendly, all natural or go green claims from manufacturers out there are frauds? Fifteen percent, forty percent or sixty percent? Terra Choice Environmental Marketing reviewed over 1,000 products last year and found that 99% of their Eco-friendly, go green claims were not valid. Isn’t that fraud? Well the problem could be that there is not enough oversight or regulation to ensure that they are living up to their claims. All but one of them committed what is called the "six sins of greenwashing". A very insightful article was recently published in Fast Company Magazine by David Roberts in which he exposes the reason behind companies "green washing" their products.
