Noted historians have contended that his highly publicised film Jodhaa Akbar , starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwariya Bachchan, is factually incorrect.Noted historians maintain that Mughal Emperor Akbar never married anyone named Jodhabai. And that Jodhabai was, in fact, his daughter-in-law, Jehangir’s wife.“Historical documents, including Akbarnama and Jehangir’s memoirs, say it was not Akbar but Jehangir who got married to the House of Jodhpur. So the princess was later called Jodhabai,” says historian Satish Chandra, author of NCERT History books.Agrees historian Mohammad Amin. “Akbar forged alliances with Rajput families and he married the daughter of Raja Bharmal of Amber, who was later titled Maryam Rahmani or the Mother of Rulers of the Universe. Just lliked this article so that to share it with you all, as it’s of one of the blogger have written in AOL India Blogs about the movie Jodhaa Akbar in a very classy way:To borrow the famous words of Mel Brooks,”The Legend had it coming”. Early on during the shooting of Jodhaa Akbar, I told Hrithik (Roshan) and Aishwarya (Rai Bachchan) that they don't have to do anything in the film," says Ashutosh Gowarikar with a chuckle. Jaipur, Jan 30: Looks like Jodhaa –Akbar is going to be a hit as the movie is blessed with a controversy prior to its release-an omen observed among all the big hits of the year 2007.The extravagant historical epic directed by Ashutosh Gowariker is making news for factual errors. The Rajput community of Rajasthan is threatening to stall the release of the movie in the state if the so-called errors are not looked into. The community says Gowariker has distorted facts in his magnum opus, which is set to be released on Feb 15.Contrary to popular belief and history books, Narendra Singh Rajawat, head of the Rajput Sabha, said Gowariker is presenting Jodhabai as Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Akbar`s wife, which is factually incorrect. MUMBAI: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to act and play the role of an executive producer for the Bhopal Movie. The film is based on the story of a young woman's search for her father, a plant manager on duty the night of the disaster in Bhopal.The movie was announced outside the Union Carbide factory on the 20th anniversary of the tragedy on 3 December, 2004 and is now in its scripting stage. It is being directed by debutant Zachary Coffin, who acted alongside Angelina Jolie in A Mighty Heart.Aishwarya will be seen playing the lead in the film. Besides a proposed girls college in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh 's new home in Lucknow too has been named after Bollywood actress and his friend Amitabh Bachchan's daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.This came to light when Singh took the Bachchan family to his recently built plush bungalow in the Uttar Pradesh capital's upmarket Vipul Khand of Gomati Nagar on Saturday night.Amitabh Bachchan and his entire family were driven from the Lucknow airport straight to Aishwarya, where they had dinner and spent the night.When a reporter confronted Singh with a query about the name of the house, he shot back, ''Abhishek is like a son to me and Aishwarya my daughter-in-law, so what if I have named my house after her and what if I decide to even gift this house to her?''He went on to add: ''You should know that Aishwarya is also another name for Goddess Lakshmi.''
