Pharrell Williams + Nicole Richie and designer Nigo were on hand during the BAPESTORE opening in West Hollywood yesterday:I can appreciate the shoes, but i will never own a pair. I mostly like the clothing from this line.The homie, Kanye West, also made an appearance. I need to go cop me a v-neck and denim shirt, but i think i'll leave the nerd glasses in the store.Paula Patton and Robin Thicke got their celebrity couple time in. It's RARE that a young artist presents us listeners with a song that deals with the various pressures that youth face as they come of age in today's society. I randomly discovered new Def Jam artist, Karina Pasian, when i saw that she and Cassie had both recorded the same song, "Official Girl." Eventually, i took a listen to her first single "Sixteen at War." This song is very powerful, and i encourage you all to hit up her Myspace page and give it a listen. She was recently spotted on set while filming the "Sixteen at War" video.According to her official website, her self titled debut album drops on June 3rd. Looks like Def Jam has found another winner. I'm a bit late on Diddy's latest venture, so excuse my bitchassness. The mogul is taking over MTV this week with both a documentary and a competition show centered around his Sean Jean fashion label. In the documentary, If I Were King, "after not showing at Fashion Week for five years, Diddy and the Sean John team rush to create a new collection that will shock the fashion industry." Singer Solange Knowles has posted new promotional pictures on her Myspace page. The singer has also confirmed that the first single from her album Hadley Street Dreams will indeed be "I Decided." The Pharrell produced track leaked a few weeks ago and took a while to grow on me, but i like the "Supremes" vibe she has on it. The version that is on her myspace differers from the leak, so definatley go check out the final cut of "I Decided." There is still no word on the album release date, but hopefully she will be releasing more info in the weeks to come.For those of us pondering the title of her album, Hadley Street Dreams, the street address of Music World Entertainment (her father's record label) is 1505 Hadley Street. Houston, TX 77002. So i am assuming that this is part of the reason that she titled her album as such. I can't wait to get my hands on Solo's eclectic new album.
