Amsterdam City Park: Vondelpark
2008-06-08 03:22:00
Vondelpark: Famous City Park in Amsterdam      Amsterdam’s largest city park lies a few blocks away from the Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and the Rijksmeseum. Vondel Park attracts thousands of tourists everyday. It welcomes around 10 million visitors every year. It is a central point to the city of Amsterdam. Here you can find people jogging, dog-walking, listening to music, roller skating or lazing around in grass. Open air theatre and free concerts at the park's bandstand are some of the attractions at Vondel Park. Another attraction at the park is the statue of Joost van den Vondel (1587-1679). Vondel was a Dutch writer and playwright. His parents were from Antwerpian descent.  In 1595 they fled to tolerant Amsterdam in the newly formed Dutch Republic. Vondel married a Catholic lady Mayken de Wolff and he chose to convert to Catholicism. Those days de facto state religion in the Dutch republic was Calvinist Protestanism. His love for a Catholi...
Sun Sign Gemini - II
2008-06-04 04:30:00
Gemini - II: June 1 to June 10  If you are born between June 1 to June 10, your ruling tarot is 'Nine of Swords'. Key phrase for the 'Nine of Swords' is 'despair that leads to healing'. Tarot 'Nine of Swords' depicts crossed forearms with clenched fists, tied with brown ropes of past conditioning. Nine swords are seen in the background laid horizontally. Tips of these double edged swords of awareness are not seen. Swords indicate awareness of what is happening in present moment, but tied wrists indicate inability to get free from the past conditioning and take action. This Tarot encourages us to break free from the bondage of stagnant situations. It encourages us to choose one of the swords that would help us in solving the problem and move forward. Irony of this tarot is that there are plenty of ideas and options available in form of swords, but our hands are cuffed. So, it is essential to untie oneself from the past remorse, regrets and griefs. Choose the best availab...

My Life: Happy Moments Turned Sour
2008-05-28 13:03:00
Life is full of Hairpin Bends As I told you, yesterday we were invited for a birthday party. While returning from my friend's place, someone speeding on a bike snatched away my handbag. All my credit cards, ATM cards, checkbooks and other important documents like driving license etc were in my handbag. When we went to police station, we received very rude response from the responsible authorities. We couldn't even register an FIR. Unfortunately my mobile phone was also in my handbag and now I am almost disconnected from my friends and important contacts. My ibibo account is also linked to this number, so I do not know what to do now.Another bad news is even worse. As I told you, my boys are trying to get admission in some good college. When they approached their Dad to support their educational expenses, he bluntly refused. Now if he has some hang ups with me, why he has to turn nasty with children? I do not know what kind of future my children have in store?Anyways, I conclu...

My Life: Some Happy Moments...
2008-05-27 10:23:00
Plenty of Reasons to be Happy  12th standard results are out. My twins appeared for the exams. Both of them have passed the exams with good marks. One of them has got 87% and the other son has got 85%. I hope they will get admission in some good college. My birthday on May 25 was a Happy Birthday! However old I become every year, I always enjoy celebrating birthdays. I spent my birthday with my sons. We cooked some good food and brought good DVDs. Though I consider myself a spiritual person, I must confess, I eat non-veg food once in a while and enjoy it also. So, on my birthday, we had south Indian style chicken curry with Dosai and Idlies. In spite of being Gujaratis, me and my children prefer South Indian dishes to Gujju food.Yesterday, one of my friends from Bangalore visited Ahmedabad. She wanted to go shopping, so I accompanied her. I always enjoy shopping in any form - be it window shopping, accompanying my friends or shopping for myself or my family. So, we had a good ti...

Astrology and Tarot: Jupiter and Juno
2008-05-10 18:42:00
By Jove! Have Mercy on Eye...   Today, planet Jupiter has turned retrograde. As per Astronomy research, Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It has strong gravitational and magnetic fields. Jupiter has three rings around him including a beautiful halo. Jupiter is the strongest in the solar system. Once in a year Jupiter goes retrograde when he is positioned exactly opposite the Sun. During these days he is closest and brightest to the Earth. It moves backwards and performs a loop-kind of movement. During these months masks worn by the people fall off and real faces become visible. When in retrograde motion, Jupiter is visible to the naked Eye in the night sky. Sometimes it is visible during the daytime also when the Sun is low. As per Mythology, Juno was the protector and special counselor of the Roman state. She is a daughter of Saturn and sister and also the wife of the chief god Jupiter. At times Jupiter wasn't too kind to her...she was hurt b...

My Life: The Celebration Continues...
2008-05-03 13:24:00
I am The Fool   In my journey of life, I experienced motherhood first and love afterwards. Now, I have entered the new phase in my life. Once again I begin my journey as a Fool. The Fool as explained by Osho: " Moment to moment, and with every step, the Fool leaves the past behind. He carries nothing more than his purity, innocence and trust, symbolized by the white rose in his hand. The pattern on his waistcoat contains the colors of all four elements of the tarot, indicating that he is in harmony with all that surrounds him. His intuition is functioning at its peak. At this moment the Fool has the support of the universe to make this jump into the unknown. Adventures await him in the river of life.  The card indicates that if you trust your intuition right now, your feeling of the 'rightness' of things, you cannot go wrong. Your actions may appear 'foolish...

My Life: A Celebration
2008-04-28 19:33:00
Sweet Surrender   After experiencing Divine Love, I no longer feel like a homeless nomad. I have found home, a shelter that protects me from all the threats. True love always makes you feel divine. Once this divine love is experienced, life becomes a celebration. I am ready to move on in quest of knowledge and wisdom. Generally, surrender is considered as a defeat, but surrender to one's beloved is sweet. It happens out of love and trust. It makes one feel happy, content and peaceful. Talking about trust, as children we tend to trust our elders, parents and teachers. As adolescents, we may trust our loved ones. Patients trust doctors with their lives. Sometimes they make some wrong decisions on our behalf and we may suffer. There is no rational rule about when to trust someone and when not to trust. There are no clear rules about when to forgive and forget and when to seek justice. Life is irrational. What is right for me may be wrong for you. Under such circumstance...

New Lease of Life    Well, I have been extremely lucky. Existence has been extremely compassionate towards me. It has offered me a new lease of life. For quite some time I am aware of this mysterious presence who has been watching me and following me. He talks to me through various means. He often functions as a mirror, reflects unseen aspects of my deeper self and supports me to become healed, whole and complete. His love is based in freedom, not expectation or need. This love takes both of us higher and higher towards the universal love. I always feel him around me. I know him and and I can always sense his presence, but he wants to play hide and seek.  Oh Dear, now it is time to come out of hiding. Let us meet. Have a great weekend! Enjoy!

My Life: My Marriage

My Marriage : A Compromise   They say marriages are made in heaven. I guess this doesn't apply to arranged marriages. Arranged marriages are like business deals, where contracts are drafted and agreements are signed between two families. Every marriage offers a unique package deal.  My marriage was fixed by my Dad, my eldest brother-in-law and one more elderly relative from my in-law's side. My marriage offered me a unique package deal. It made my life living hell. My Marriage offered me two beautiful kids and a doggie that has been barking ceaselessly for last 18 years. Husband dear, now when we are parting ways, I keep the kids and you can take your doggie back!  Neither my dad nor my brother-in-law are ready to acknowledge and correct their biggest blunder. I do not see any remorse or repentance on their faces. They consider themselves the smartest dealmakers in history!  Hope you are having a great time! Enjoy!

My Life: An Adventure
2008-04-16 17:23:00
Life: An Adventure to be lived  When I was a kid, we lived in a joint family. My grand parents, my parents and my two uncles lived together. My both the uncles were quite younger than my father. When I was born, they were studying in school. As a child, I spent a lot of time with my uncles. They taught me many mischiefs and pranks. One of our favorite pass-time was to imitate and mimic my mother. We would stand on a sofa and mimic my mother and we would laugh. Even today, when I want to be funny, I mimic her. Somehow my mother could not take it sportingly. She thought I was her Nasty Daughter. Even today, she is not able to forgive and forget. Mother, I am/was not your nasty daughter. I was just learning to speak and I imitated you. We never meant to disrespect you. Somehow she could never understand it and she made some wrong choices in life. She always chose people who were were nice to her on her face, but they always deserted her when she was in an embarrassing situation. W...

Healing Arts - Rebirth   I am sorry for being away for such a long time from the Virtual World. I am dealing with some issues in real world. So far, I have not shared my real life at ibibo, but may be soon I would like to share some incidents and experiences that provoked me to explore various meditation and healing techniques.Today, let us talk about breathwork healing therapy. There are different types of breathworks. Some of them are Conscious Connected Breathing, Circular Breathing, Vivation, Transformational Breathwork etc. Some ancient techniques like Pranayama, Kriya Yoga techniques, Tai Chi, Chi Kung can also take you through rebirthing process.  Rebirthing breath work is a highly intense breathing technique. It can be combined with guided regression techniques and hypnosis. Rebirth helps in releasing and resolving traumatic emotions and experiences. Rebirth does not necessarily mean enacting birthing process. Any troublesome or painful event or incident can b...

Primary Mission of King Solomon
2008-03-31 15:14:00
Temple of God and Royal Palace of King Solomon King Solomon did not approve the involvement of religion in government or business institutions. Divine Wisdom of King Solomon was spiritual. He believed that religions and cults should not interfere in Government, businesses or education. But he was in favor of spirituality. God can be endorsed in form of alignment between intellect and intuition, spiritual resources and physical resources. Primary mission of King Solomon was to to build a temple for the God and a royal palace for himself. In this way he can contain the heavens and the highest heavens exclusively for Him. He built a main temple for God, in which he installed various idols. Within the main temple, for each idol he built small, but impressive temples. Thus he made the main temple very grand and impressive. In Ecclesiastes, King Solomon guides his people to find meaning in life by turning away from materialism, hedonism and plain and dry intellectualism. Wisdom of King Solomon

King Solomon - the Wisest and the Wealthiest Gypcy Woman retreats at the end of 'Taming the Beast' campaign. She had also been the victim of anathema and massive witchcraft, as a result she had to retrieve her soul from the darkness. Now onwards, I, 'Divine Wisdom ' will channelize the messages from the higher realms. King Solomon ruled the kingdom of Israel during the era of 970 – 930 BC. King Solomon was the beloved of God. The name Solomon means peaceful. He had a unique way to build the kingdom. Once King Solomon approached God with great humility, honour and humbleness. In his prayers, Solomon asked God: "Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can rule this great people of Thine?" 2 Chronicles (1:10) King Solomon, the son of David asked for the wisdom and knowledge in all his humility and humbleness, so that he can serve God's people. God recognized Solomon's humility and bestowed him with knowledg...

I hardly had 2 days to become familiar with the concept of Union Budget and prepare my proposals. I downloaded as much information from the Internet as possible and took all the printouts. Textiles have become uncompetitive due to appreciation of rupee. The customs act was formulated in 1962. One of the objectives of the custom act is to afford protection to indigenous industries in the country and keep the imports at a level to secure the exchange rate of Indian Currency.   So, my proposal is to delay implementing the Government’s stated policy to bring down India’s import duty at par with the ASEAN level.
