Bottom 3: Carly Smithson, Kristy Lee Cook and Amanda Overmyer. Amanda Overmyer eliminated! I’m so excited Michael Johns is in top 10 and will be going on the AI tour! I can’t wait to see him perform LIVE. I hope they announce the tour dates soon. I know the tickets usually go on sale sometime in May so I’m guessing they will announce the tour dates sometime mid to late April. How sweet was his reaction when Ryan told him he was in the top 10. Very heartfelt and genuine. WTF with Carly in the bottom 3? I always wonder if the bottom 3 are the true bottom 3. I bet they throw in a good person just to add drama. I just don’t see Carly being in the bottom 3. If that was really how the votes went then her fans need to wake up. I can’t believe we’ve got another week of Kristy. Ugh. I guess you heard the big buzz around the internet that The CW is planning to do a spinoff of the hit show Beverly Hills 90210. Variety has leaked the details of the show. I am so excited! Now, before you go getting all concerned I’ll just tell you this right now. I LOVE ME SOME TEENAGE DRAMAS. Forget those serious shows with boring grown ups. American Idol Top 11 - Beatles night…again? Yawn.

Wow. What a snoozer. Why they did Beatles songs again this week is just beyond me. I usually break my recap down by contestant but tonight was so bad that I just don’t have the strength to do it. I do want to touch on a few things, though. David Archuleta was not that good tonight. He bored me to tears. They way the judges fall all over him just puzzles me. If he wins how are they going to market this kid? To the tweens and teens? I don’t think so because he is so old fashioned. Will they buy his music? He’s not pop to me at all. And he has the personality of a doorknob. Of course, there’s the grandma set who want to just pinch him because he’s cute like a 4 year old. That alone just creeps me out. David Cook was ok but I agree with Simon that he looked smug during his song and that it wasn’t as good as he [David] though it was. I was like look at him… he thinks he’s the shit. Did not like that voice effect he did...
