NEW YORK (CNN) -- Actor Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday of a possible drug overdose in a Lower Manhattan apartment, the New York Police Department said.The Academy Award nominated actor was 28."Pills were found in the vicinity of the bed," police spokesman Paul Browne told CNN."This is being looked at as a possible overdose, but that is not confirmed yet." Police later said the pills "appear to be over the counter" sleeping medication. Ledger was unresponsive when he was found by a housekeeper who had gone to wake him for an appointment with a masseuse in the Soho apartment, Browne said.He was declared dead at about 3:30 p.m., Browne said. Britney Spears' brief relationship with paparazzi Adnan Ghalib has come around to bite her in the ass. Surprise, surprise. Adnan was "dating" Brit for about two weeks before he was abruptly cut from her life this past weekend. And to the surprise of no one, apparently her creepy "manager/friend/sidekick" Sam Lufti (birth name: Osama Lufti) had something to do with it. Now I'm not going to argue the fact that Adnan probably NEVER had Britney's best interests in mind, but I doubt that Sam does either. MISS TLC SAYS: You know I always try to hook my peoples up. This video (surprise, surprise) keeps getting mysteriously taken down from YouTube as quickly as it goes up. Now I don't know about you, but I would NEVER claim to know everything about religion, or any particular religious sect. I consider myself to be religious, and I cherish my own faith, and the way I was brought up within it. However, I do agree with aspects of many other religions as well, and I would never try to shove my own beliefs down the throat of another. In this case, I just think it's QUITE suspect that Scientologists are sooooooooooo secretive about their "tech" (codeword for their Scientology policies, rules, mandates, procedures), and so fearful and disturbed when any of it "leaks" it. Just something to think about...PS - SP means a "Suppressive Person". Anyone that doesn?t like Scientology and/or criticizes Scientology.

I mean... really... does she think it's cool? (The face of the accused fashion violator has been removed so as to spare her the embarrassment. We here @ The Wonderful World Of Miss TLC......LOVE how the legendary dessert spot Serendipity publicized their $25,000 sundae JUST last week... and were shut down by the health department this week for disgusting infractions. I'm not sure ANYONE will be dropping $25, much less $25,000 there for a while... HATE that Pop Tarts (and most other food aimed at children) feels the need to make breakfast into dessert. What happened to the plain blueberry ones w/o icing (those were my favorites)? I mean really, LOOK at these flavors currently in the supermarkets. S'mores??? Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough??? Oh, excuse me, the strawberry FROSTED ones (with sprinkles) are "low-fat". I took two pictures below... LOVE the movie "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?". Shout out to my good friend Eddie , who can now say that he's "modeled for Playboy alongside a Playmate". ;)Eddie was asked to help model a new line of Playboy clothing for men this morning on the CW 11 Morning News. Curb Your Enthusiasm's Leon

From BestWeekEver.tv...Best Week Ever's take on this season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and the character Leon While I totally agree with Best Week Ever in their praise of Leon & the last few minutes of the Curb Your Enthusiasm final episode, I don't agree that this season was just so-so. I thought this season was one of the best since the first couple seasons of the Larry David unscripted sitcom aired. Honestly, there were SO many moments where I was literally cracking up this time around. Larry was smart in recognizing a plotline that could go many places during the course of the season, while still keeping viewers amused with his awkward interactions (with the family he took in from the hurricane). They should seriously have a spin-off called "Larry & The Blacks". Him & Loretta would be a great couple.Honestly, if you missed this season, go back and watch them all on HBO On Demand this weekend. You can thank me later.

In the wake of Michael Jackson's recent Ebony magazine spread......he made a public appearance at Jesse Jackson's 66th birthday party last week. Ok, so ever since he went into hiding after his child molestation trial, there have been rumors that Mike was staging a "comeback". DJ Whoo Kid supposedly spoke to him about collaborating and doing some G-Unit stuff last year, and there have also been reports that he's accepted tracks from all the production bigwigs including Timbaland, Kanye, and will.i.am. More recently there have been leaked tracks floating around the 'net, and I must say that I wasn't impressed with the ones I heard (except for one, "Bigger Man"), however, I couldn't picture them being produced by any of the aforementioned heavyhitters. My Mom is one of the most in-touch-on-top-of-things-plugged-in and informed people out there. And I'm just SO lucky that she also happens to be my mother. ;) So anyway, now that's she all cool and online, she sometimes stumbles upon sites that she tells me about, and I thought this one was interesting enough to pass along to my readers.It's called BookSwim and basically, it's like Netflix for books. Now I don't know about you but I feel that there was a DEFINITE need for a service like this. There have been video rental services for years, but as far as books go, you only have the library. Now I'm not knocking the library, but I know that sometimes the hours aren't set up well enough for those who work late to get over there, browse, take books out, AND get a chance to bring them back. Then days become weeks, weeks become months, and before you know it, you owe the library 35 cents. LOL. I'm just joking. I actually know a lot of people who have forgotten to return ...

A Miss TLC Album Review: Alicia Keys "As I Am"

Alicia has already conquered the (semi) impossible before. Her debut album (Songs In A Minor)was so widely acclaimed (mainly due to the gargantuan single "Fallin") that many believed she couldn't do it again with her sophomore release, The Diary of Alicia Keys . But with monster hits like "If I Ain't Got You" and "You Don't Know My Name", it exploded bigger than the first.Now four years have passed, and fans have been anxiously awaiting the songstress' new material for months. Today, As I Am, finally hits store shelves. This album is pure 70s emotional soul, and I love it. Whether or not her fans will fall in love with it instantly though remains to be seen. See, the thing with Alicia is that she's always been able to successfully blend that old soul musical style with current hip-hop elements. This album doesn't really have any of that. In case you have not heard the shocking news yet, Kanye West 's mother, Donda West, passed away on Saturday, at the very young age of 58. At this time, the family has asked for their privacy to be respected. The current story is that she passed away from complications during a cosmetic surgical procedure. Unfortunately for Kanye, he had just arrived in London when he got the news, and immediately flew back to L.A. For those who don't know, Kanye was EXTREMELY close with his mother, who worked as his manager, and released a book about raising him this past Mother's Day. Want To Shop, Sight-see & Have Lunch @ The Same Time?

Well my parents put me onto Fairway in Red Hook, Brooklyn for all of the above. First off, it's a regular supermarket (which is part of a chain, so you may have been to the other ones on 74th or 125th in Manhattan or other parts of the country). But secondly, it's a food spot because there is a full sandwich spot/coffee bar/deli/pizzeria/etc. in the back serving hot food (which is actually really good) all day. And THEN, there is a special area right by the food where you can park your cart (full of groceries), and go sit on the back porch to eat while overlooking the view of the Statue of Liberty, the watertaxis, and an old Smithsonian-esque cable car. Seriously. So it's a nice lil spot to check out during a weekend afternoon if you needed to get your grocery shopping done anyway.

The blog-o-sphere is full of pointless celeb-worshipping, celeb-trashing, and fan-fighting. The reason I started The Wonderful World of Miss TLC in the first place was because I was sick of all the ass-kissing and ass-praising; the fashion put-downs coming from out-of-shape ugly folx who have never been invited to an A-list party in their lives; the musical criticism coming from those who have no talent whatsoever; and the boatloads of un-educated and un-knowing pointless bullshit out there. I think it's a good thing that blogs have risen to the level of popularity that they have. There are plenty of "regular" people out there who can do the job better than those who are doing it in the mags and newspapers, but they haven't been hired by The New York Times, or Vogue, or Us Weekly. However, when their posting becomes excessively negative, and the person who is typing the vitriol into their web publishing tools night and day doesn't have a solution, or even an intelligent take ...
