MISS TLC SAYS: Now I missed the "Divas" show (which was probably the case with many people...), because even though I like Adele, Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks, they are not "divas", nor are they my faves. "VH-1 Divas" used to be one of the most talked-about events every year. There were major collaborations between larger than life legendary female singers such as Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houston. However, this year showcased 2 "American Idol" winners and a Disney tween star. Seriously VH-1??? Don't get me wrong. I do believe that both Kelly and Jordin are talented (Miley, not so much), but they are not in the business long enough to be considered "divas". Yes, there were other young'ns and new jacks on the program before (Brandy, Leeann Rimes, Ashanti, Eve, etc.), BUT those were part of much larger bills including people like Celine Dion and Gladys Knight. Jesus Luz (Madonna's "alleged" boyfriend) appears in the vid as the DJ she approaches seductively before stripping him of his jacket/shirt. Leave it to Madonna to "showcase" her new "boy toy" in this way. Personally, I don't believe that they are really together at all. It's just the perfect marketing campaign after the bad press from her divorce and controversial adoption plans. While on the bus this morning, I saw the woman below wearing an oddly colored (and fitted) ensemble on the way to work (Yes, I knew she was going to work from her conversation with the bus driver.):I mean honestly people, dress for your shape/size. (That dress probably wouldn't look good on anyone, but ESPECIALLY not someone like that.) What was CRAZY funny though was that her jewelry (which you can't see here because I never would show someone's face), and her shoes (which you can kinda see), were also weird shades of lime green. But THEN she took out her phone to make a call and...... it was the same green!!!Look Mrs. Kermit the Frog, that slit is WAY inappropriate (it ended right under her bum) and that color is flattering on NO ONE. MISS TLC SAYS: So apparently Nicole Richie has a maternity line called "Nicole" at the maternity mecca, A Pea In The Pod. I think Nicole looks great in these pics, and now that she is a mother of TWO, she definitely has a real foothold in the Mommy industry. The clothes look real cute, and she had a nice big ad on the bus next to my cab which I'm sure will grab major attention. Kudos to her for distancing herself from Paris Hilton and remaining calm, classy, and cool, while Paris....... well I'll just let you finish that one for yourself. :)For past editions of "Me In A Cab", just type that whole phrase (with quotes) into the search bar at the top of this page. MISS TLC SAYS: Granted, she's still a little too tan for her own good, and her chichis don't need to be propped up that much; but girlfriend actually looks good (and not trashy, tacky, or tarty like she usually does). Hopefully she goes back to her roots and brings out her natural pretty-ness more often. Not many women are blessed with truly pretty faces (most celebs and regular chicks have to use makeup, extra hair, special jewelry, clothes, and shoes to come off as effortlessly beautiful or sexy), but Aubrey , like Miss TLC, does have a genuinely pretty face. :)

DJ AM Is Dead?!?!?!?

Whoa. MissTLC.com is reading like the obits lately. This is TERRIBLY sad. DJ AM (pictured left, with former fiancee Nicole Richie), has passed away at the age of 36. What's really freaking me out (in a crazy, eerie way) is that you may remember we posted a piece about DJ AM escaping death twice on airplanes back in March (read that here), and now he's really passed away a mere 5 months later AND there are new "Final Destination" commercials all over because the newest sequel is due out soon.*Shivers*Our condolences go out to all of his family and friends.You can read The Associated Press piece here.

Unfortunately, we've lost a lot of good people this year already... and here's one more.Famed author Dominick Dunne has passed away today from bladder cancer. He was 83 years old. His son, actor Griffin Dunne confirmed the statement that Vanity Fair (the magazine that Dunne famously wrote for) released minutes ago. Dunne was a very gifted writer, and lived a full, meaningful life. However, his time with us was not without tragedy. His daughter was murdered in 1982, an experience that peppered his writing from then on. You can read the rest of the story here.

Chris Brown Has FINALLY Been Sentenced In The Rihanna Case

This just in from CNN.com...LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Pop singer Chris Brown was sentenced Tuesday to serve five years probation and more than 1,400 hours in "labor-oriented service" for assaulting his pop star girlfriend, Rihanna .Chris Brown received an expected sentence on Tuesday of probation and community service. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said in the sentencing she wants to see Brown conduct "actual physical labor, as opposed to some type of community service." MISS TLC SAYS: As to be expected, his sentence wasn't that harsh. I believe that whatever impact this will have on his career (if any) will ultimately become the real punishment for him in the end.

Today, the NY Daily News posted an incredibly disturbing story which ties a VH-1 "Megan Wants A Millionaire" contestant to a model's murder (a model who was quite possibly his wife). Unfortunately, I'm not surprised. Not because I know the guy (I've never even watched the show), but because the growing plethora of F-list (which is way below Kathy Griffin's hilarious D-list, by the way) "reality" shows on American television have left the producers with not many worthy candidates willing to be filmed looking for love or money while getting abused in front of a TV audience. Reality TV has become such a mainstay in fact, that most (if not all) television-watchers know in advance what they'd be getting themselves into by signing up for these circus acts, and so, there are not really that many stand-up respectable straight-laced men or women looking to get involved. Therefore, the producers do tend to choose somewhat "questionable" participants, which may also be a ploy for bett...

So Monday's the last episode before the season finale (airing May 19th), and I must, I am intrigued. That last episode was CRAY-ZEEEEEE. Yes, the Serena killing someone thing is a bit too dramatic for such a young show BUT you must accept the possibility that (spoiler alert: just highlight the following text with your cursor if you wish to read) 1) Georgina drugged Serena and only made her believe that she killed someone, 2) she didn't "kill" anyone per se but instead just left them to die after they overdosed while having sex, or 3) killed them in self-defense after they raped her or videotaped her without her consent (spoiler ends here).Either way, Monday's episode (entitled "Woman on the Verge") is bound to be interesting. I like the twist which shows Serena reverting back to her old bad-girl ways once the weight of her guilt hits her like a ton of bricks.
