2007-10-08 07:50:00 Nick Santora talks about Michael?s tattoos and why The Company kills? 1) The tats are a HUGE process ? expensive, time consuming, there are production issues, etc. Since the tats haven?t been a big part of the story this season, we just can?t afford to show them alot. But I?m pretty sure you?ll get a glimpse of them here and there this season. We know fans like the tats, we like them too, it?s just a very involved process.2) Killing characters shows how serious the threat is to our heroes. If you think about it, it just wouldn?t make sense for the company to have someone in their clutches and then just let them go, or to just beat them up a bit ? nope, the company kills. That is the threat to all of our guys all the time. If they mess up, they will be killed. Period. Without it, we don?t feel there will be the right stakes and/or tension. But I wanted to talk about something that has been great ... actually 2 things that have been great ... actually 2 PEOPLE that have been great -- Christian Trokey and Kalinda Vasquez. They are 2 rookie, first-year writers on our show that we promoted after they were assistants for the writers. This was not charity -- we didn't promote them because we like them (actually I can't stand either one of them!) or because they are nice to look at (both are very ugly!) ... okay, all kidding aside - we promoted them because they can both write their asses off. Jodi Lyn O?Keefe: I eat very clean, healthy food at all times because I'm very focused about keeping myself in shape. Crave Online: I eat healthy stuff but I eat too much of it. Jodi Lyn O?Keefe: What kind of healthy foods? Crave Online: Fish, veggies, hummus. But I'll dip vegetables into a whole tub of hummus. Jodi Lyn O?Keefe: You can eat pretty much those foods as much as you want as long as you eat them on their own. There's a book called The Raw Food Detox Diet. I'm not necessarily on the Raw Food Detox Diet but I find a lot from that book about separating foods and your body digesting foods differently, so just keeping out two different food groups. 2007-10-04 22:15:00 There's too many SWC news posts on our site lately. I'm running out of stock photos of her, for crying out loud. I've had to scour the internet so as not to bore you guys by using the same photos over and over. I hope you appreciate the hard work I do for all of you.So, it looks like that article in the French magaazine "Tele Star" that claimed SWC was fired by Fox may have been fabricated. Apparently, that magazine is notorious for "splicing" quotes and answers to sensationalize stories. A magazine that makes up news?! GASP! I'm outraged!Here is the transcript from SWC's appearance on a Swiss television show called "Tele Top Matin". Nick Santora On Upcoming Episodes
2007-10-04 22:10:00 We will see all sides of T-Bag again this season.Each season of PB is basically a brand new show. This year we had to introduce all new characters, establish them, explain a new world, a new set of rules, etc. That takes time - it can't be established in one episode or two or more. For those of you who wanted Michael to instantly start breaking out in episode 1 of this season, that is not where we wanted to go - it would play false and make Sona too easy to break out of. Michael is stumped. He can't figure a way out. That is dramatic to us as writers. But things might change soon ... he might start making plans, figuring things out. The relationship between the brothers might be put to its biggest test yet. We might see Sara again real soon. We might find out what is in the box. 2007-10-04 16:12:00 Nick Santora 1) If I comment on whether or when SWC is coming back, I am, in effect answering questions about whether Dr. Tancredi comes back. That seems very clear and logical. I’m sorry if some of you can’t understand that.2) We will see all sides of T-Bag again this season.3) Lincoln’s hotel isn’t expensive. We saw food get delivered to the prison in prior episodes and saw that only prisoners in “untouchable” status are denied food. Lechero runs the prison - we as a writing team assumed viewers would be sophisticated enough to connect the dots and figure out that Lechero and his crew assign rooms. Just don’t think it is very dynamic to see Sammy tell Michael “You get cell #12″. Linc gets money when necessary from the company/Susan and why assume he was telling the truth when he told Sucre he only had $50. I have to say that some concerns regarding where people sleep and how they found their beds are a bit mundane, but you have every right to express them — but... But that beauty often comes at a price. Just ask the crew from Fox TV's action drama Prison Break, who spent Thursday using a stretch of beach at Fort De Soto Park as a stand-in for the Panama shoreline, filming key scenes featuring stars Dominic Purcell and Danay Garcia. The bright sun, so picturesque on film, was baking the cast and crew. Clouds of sand fleas, appearing from nowhere, feasted on all the exposed flesh, dotting Garcia's toned legs with a series of angry red bumps. And while the production was rushing to beat an advancing cloud cover, noise from passing motorboats and airplanes forced abrupt halts to some scenes. 2007-10-03 16:34:00 I do take exception with you saying the writers are lazy. That is a statement about my work ethic and the work ethic of my colleagues/friends and I do not appreciate that. The only thing that exceeds your statements ignorance is its inaccuracy. The writer/producers of PB are some of the hardest working, most diligent people in the industry We put in 15+ hour days every day. I?m sorry if you can?t understand the intricacies of having to deal with an actress playing a major character suddenly not being on your show ? but to deal with that you need to come up with a story to explain the absence, find a way around barely seeing the actress (we saw her for a matter of seconds in the episode) and still have your characters care for someone that they aren?t even seeing on screen It is very difficult and we did a commendable job. Ten reasons why Lincoln is better than Michael on Prison Break
2007-10-03 16:31:00 1. He's got a really nice body (one that is tan and muscular and often sweaty). If Grey's Anatomy has "McDreamy" and "McSteamy," then Prison Break has "McBeefy." 2. He's one of the few actors I have ever seen that looks good with five o'clock shadow ... on his whole head. 3. He's the main reason for the plot of the show. (If he was never set-up by the company, Michael would never have had to get sent to Fox River and bust him out. You can't really call it Prison Break if the main characters don't need to escape from a prison. Oh wait, unless it's season two of Prison Break.) 4. He gets into good fight scenes. (I seem to remember an awesome head butt in season one as he protected a newbie guard from T-Bag and his cronies. Anyone who uses a head butt is cool.) 5. He's got all ten toes. Michael gets to know Whistler and Mahone meets his lawyer. Lechero feels he's losing his grip over others.Lincoln looks through the bird book he took from Whistler's girlfriend while the woman from The Company holds the fake one he slipped her. A man slips an envelope under the door but by the time Linc gets to the door, he is gone. The pictures are of Sara and LJ holding recent newspapers. Linc turns around and sees Sucre, who came to him for money. Sucre sees the pictures and wants to help.
