Fashionista 101: Bat Those Eyelashes

Hello beautiful people! It?s time for another edition of Fashion ista 101. Let?s shake things up a little and break away from the fashion advice and dive into beauty. Last week I had the privilege of attending an industry night at an up and coming spa in Los Angeles. One of the services that they were offering was complimentary eyelash extensions. Now, I know that might sound a little off the wall but this is the latest hot trend in Hollywood. Rumor has it that J. Lo had hers made out of mink and both Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton are sporting this new accessory. With eyelash extensions, a lash is bonded to your own and done individually. The whole procedure takes about two hours and will last for up to two months. Now for the catch! These extensions will cost you anywhere from $300-$500 dollars. The new ANTM contestants recently did a photoshoot for the new season portraying all of the fashion model stereotypes. I think the concept is cute although many of the stereotypes (like eating disorders, drug and alcohol addiction, you name it) are still problematic. On Thursday, September 21 the stars came out to see Emporio Armani's "One Night Only" Fashion Show during London's Spring/Summer 2007 Fashion Week. Beyonce, 50 Cent, and Amerie were just a few of the celebs on the red carpet. Pictures below...Fox Searchlight Pictures presented the Los Angeles Premiere of "The Last King of Scotland" on Thursday, September 21 at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles.
