Casey Serin appears to be safe from any legal consequences of his failed real estate investment scheme. The FBI has decided not to go after borrowers that overstated income on their mortgage loans.Even though such an offense is already a Federal crime, it appears people who took out liar's loans will get a free pass.According to an article published yesterday, the FBI has decided to go after the bigger fish in the real estate flop.Although lying on a mortgage application is a federal crime, borrowers who committed mortgage fraud are low on the FBI's list of priorities. Joseph Schadler, an FBI spokesman, said investigators will be focusing on organized property flipping rings and bogus foreclosure rescue schemes instead of lying buyers.'We're going to pick the ones that are the most egregious and have the greatest impact on the economy,' Schadler said. It's obvious with the Dr. Phil episode airing tomorrow that this won't be the last KoiCast. BTC and WWTF are hoping to co-host a wrap-up KoiCast on Sunday.Casey's behavior around the Dr. Phil exposure has been quite strange. First he said he didn't want to come on the KoiCast. Then he actively promoted his appearance on the show. Finally, he removed all the new promotional material from serin.us. Ok, ok. Due to popular demand at CHC, I've decided to conduct the January 15th KoiCast after all. My response to Casey 's ridiculous "slavery" claim about working -The slaves worked hard all day long and all they got was shelter and food. That's all the average person working an average job today is able to buy with their income. We're slaves to our jobs.They were fed, clothed and sheltered with the bare minimums to survive. There was no health care. They were beaten, raped and killed. There is no comparison to modern jobs.And then when we want a little something more than just shelter and food we have to go into debt. That puts us into an even deeper slavery.This is not true. For those of you without access to CHC, here is Duane's second and I believe final response to the last KoiCast brouhaha.Back in the day there was a movement of sorts to raise money to help G. A lot of people came out and said they would donate X to her. (I had counted 4-6K in donations.. One person had said they would donate 2K.. didn’t know if they were serious thus the range.. some people said a stated amount.. if no amount was given I just assigned 50 bucks for an average..) I was one of those people. In fact I had made it known on blogs, talkcasts, and I had even told Casey of this fact. I thought my Mystery Guest might be reason enough to tune into tonight's KoiCast, but I was wrong. While Mark Villasenor added some needed insight into why Casey's business plans were failures from the get go, the superfluous cast of characters turned this KoiCast into the bomb!I'm not trying to take credit here, but this was some fortuitous timing. I didn't really see this coming, at least not so soon. Casey has shut down his newest blog after only eight days of existence.I was looking forward to IAFF part deux with no partners or family to attempt to reign Casey in. So I've finally gotten access to CHC. My laptop doesn't let me in, but my other computer does. I keep getting "Page Not Found" errors. It has nothing to do with my CHC account. Very strange.I haven't gotten too far in, but one thing is clear; there have been some very strange goings ons between Haterz. The bannings, "sissyfights" and other weird happenings detract from the whole anti-Casey vibe, but it's bound to happen in any community comprised of very different individuals.Then there's Casey's blog du jour. As some of you may know, I was working for a home builder in Utah as their Marketing Director as well as brokering loans part-time. Because of the housing slowdown, half the company was downsized.
