If you have an extra $18 million to spend, rapper 50 Cent has a crib you might want to check out. The platinum rapper has placed his Farmington, Connecticut mansion on the real estate market. 50 purchased the home from Mike Tyson three years ago. The rapper says the home had a very dated look before he moved in. ?It kind of had a `Miami Vice' feel. It was like turquoise blue on the floor and purple. It was crazy looking when I got there."  50 has made a few modifications to the 18 bedroom mansion including adding a recording studio and nightclub. "I like the look of an Architectural Digest. There's a lot of good living going on, and it ain't based (on) the actual money that's being spent, it's the choices that people make. You don't have to buy a $50 million home to build a lifestyle that's equivalent."

The Birdman is facing legal trouble after being arrested by police . Bryan "Baby" Williams was among 16 people arrested in Kingsport, Tennessee Tuesday evening on drug and gun charges.Police say the rapper and his entourage were traveling in an RV that made an improper lane change and ran a tractor off the road. That lead to the vehicle being pulled over. An officer reported smelling marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. After a search he found a pound of the "stickiest of ickies." Birdman, his wife and 13 others were each charged with possession of over 1/2 ounce of marijuana.The rapper gave his side of the story to MTV. Here is what he had to say:"We was on the bus. I was asleep in the back," he said. "Why they pulled us over, I don't know. The people are making the situation out worse than what it is. Nas Talks New Album

Nas is talking openly about his upcoming controversial album, Nigger. What the Queens native says about one of album's tracks may shock some more than the album title itself.  "I have a song called 'The Fear.' The full title of the record is 'The Fear of the Black Man's D***.' That's some s*** you can get comedy from, or you can get some seriousness from it when you talk about the barbaric castrations that happened in our past which is very serious, nothing to laugh at." Nas says the album was scheduled to drop next month but he decided to push the release date back until February.  "I was still working and it was a few weeks away from a release date. The British drama entitled "The Life Of Amy Winehouse " continues to become less bearable to watch. The troubled singer has canceled all her remaining concerts this year because she cannot stand to perform while her husband is in jail. "Mr. Loser," Blake Fielder-Civil, is being held for assaulting a bar owner last June. Winehouse, 24, has been heavily criticized by fans and critics alike for her recent string of horrendous performances. In a statement Winehouse says, "I can't give it my all onstage without my Blake. I'm so sorry but I don't want to do the shows half-heartedly; I love singing. My husband is everything to me and without him it's just not the same."

In the article Robin says it took years for his hit ballad "Lost Without You" to take off.  ?The first time Pharrell heard the song, he said it was a smash,? Amy Winehouse is a lonely Brit this morning after a judge ordered her husband remain in jail after he tampered with a witness in his own assault trial. On Saturday, A tearful Winehouse watched on as her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, was ordered to remain in police custody until Nov. 23.According to the charges read in court, Fielder-Civil conspired with the alleged victim of the assault, persuading him to withdraw as a witness at the trial, which was to begin Today. Anthony Kelly, 25, also was ordered held in custody, accused of assisting Fielder-Civil.Kelly and Fielder-Civil are among five men arrested in relation to the assault case.

Contemporary music sucks! There is the occassional good album like Kanye's Graduation, Jay-Z's American Gangster or Common's Finding Forever but for every one decent album there are twenty really awful ones. Someone who shares our sentiments spoke to Rolling Stone about today's music scene; they even offered up some theories regarding its decline. Comedian Chris Rock tells the magazine in a recent interview, ?Music kind of sucks. Nobody?s into being a musician. Everybody?s getting their mogul on. You?ve been so infiltrated by this corporate mentality that all the time you?d spend getting great songs together, you?re busy doing nine other things that have nothing to do with art. You know how shitty Stevie Wonder?s songs would have been if he had to run a fuckin? clothing company and a cologne line? ? Rap sucks, for the most part. Not all rap, but as an art form it?s just not at its best moment."We couldn't agree more.

Donda West died last night in Los Angeles, CA from complications stemming from cosmetic surgery. She served as chief executive of the parent company of her son's business enterprises, West Brands LLC. She also chaired the Kanye West Foundation.She was the former chairwoman of Chicago State University's English department and recently published the book "Raising Kanye: Life Lessons from the Mother of a Hip-Hop Star."

Janet Jackson is back in the limelight and #1 in America again thanks to Tyler Perry 's Why Did I Get Married? The film came in #1 at the box office this weekend taking in $21.5 million. More impressive is the film only opened on close to 2,000 screens. Most major motion pictures open on at least 3,000. This is Perry's third #1 hit in four theatrical releases. Close to 90% of the film's ticket buyers were African-American but the percentage of non-black ticket buyers was the highest yet for a Perry film."My strong hunch is that this is the last time anybody will underestimate Tyler Perry," Lions Gate President Tom Ortenberg said. "Tyler's message of family values and personal redemption speaks very strongly to people who are not frequent moviegoers." The Rock's Game Plan came in at #2 with $11.5 million followed by George Clooney's Michael Clayton at $11 million.

Sources say Diddy and another partier, Steve Acevedo exchanged words. Then Diddy punched Acevedo in the face while screaming "I'll kill you punk!"Diddy has not been arrested or charged. Hate to say it but it looks like T.I. will be spending a good portion of his life behind bars. This following his arrest yesterday for illegally purchasing firearms. You'd think T.I. would be smart enough to realize he had made it to a point in his career where the thug nonsense could stop...but...we guess not. Judging by the look of this affidavit T.I.'s career is over. We just do not see how any judge would be lenient on a convicted felon who tries to illegally attain machine guns with silencers. Not to mention he is black and a rapper...talk about being f*ck'd. T.I., real name Clifford Harris, is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow. We'll keep you updated on the story as it unfolds.

Queens-native Nas has announced the title of his next album will be Nigga . Yeah you heard us right. Nas says his upcoming album will be titled Nigga. The album is slated to hit store shelves this December. We're not sure what to make of this. Nas said he intended to title his last LP Nigga before changing it to Hip-Hop Is Dead. It is certainly a contraversial move. Nas is a rapper known for his knowledge of African-American history and culture. We'll wait to hear his reasoning before passing judgement. It will be extremely interesting to see how retailers and the media handle this situation.
