As reported by the Starpulse Entertainment blog (and various other sources), Dean Cain's family movie for Reader's Digest Family Films and Peace Arch Entertainment, Ace of Hearts , will be released on DVD May 6th by Fox Home Entertainment. Ace of Hearts was inspired by a true story published in Reader's Digest Magazine. (Read my coverage of that story here.)I have seen a couple trailers (IMDb.com trailer, PeachArch.com trailer) for this film, and if you love dogs, love Dean Cain or love family films that provide laughs and tears, then I think you will really love this little movie. Aussie and Ted, a Shuki Levy film, produced by the Shuki Levy Children's Foundation, stars Dean Cain as dad Michael Brooks, Beverly D'Angelo, Alyssa Shafer, Leo Howard, Kirstin Eggers and Emily Kuroda. And several fine canine thespians.This film is described at IMDb.com as a "funny, heartfelt adventure about the true meaning of friendship." (Read the full synopsis here: warning, contains spoilers.) With kind permission from the Shuki Levy Children's Foundation, I have posted two production stills. On an interview with KTLA Morning Show in Los Angeles, Dean Cain revealed some upcoming appearances that will make his fans stand up and cheer!According to Dean, he will be appearing in an upcoming episode of CSI: Miami . But what many of his fans are waiting to hear is the confirmation of a rumor running around the Net...Dean said he is "going back [to] do a couple episodes of LAS VEGAS." Dean Cain spoke about his character, Dr. Curtis Knox, and his upcoming and much anticipated role in the Smallville episode, "Cure," airing Oct. 18 on the CW.In an interview for Los Angeles' KTLA TV Morning Show, Dean revealed that Dr. Knox is indeed "an immortal, so it's hard to get rid of him." When asked if he might return to the series, he was playfully evasive. There are rumors floating around that he may return, but I guess time will tell. The video interview also showed a fun clip from "Cure" where Knox and Lex Luthor are setting some power boundaries. An example of the exchange: Knox to Luthor, "I sever the cerebral wiring of the freaks in your gallery and you pay me my fee. End of story." I just got an e-mail response from Hallmark that delivers a firm (and confirmed) date for the airing of Fina l Approach -- Monday, May 26 (8-11 p.m. ET/PT). I know I've got to see this movie. When something "ticks off" the Hollywood critics this big, I personally can't wait to get a seat and watch it!September Dawn , the controversial and much-maligned film by respected film director Christopher Cain (Young Guns, The Principal), is getting panned and slapped by critics like few movies have of late. Why? Because they don't like the subject matter maybe? Or they don't feel it's politically correct enough? Or who knows? If indeed it's just a "bad film" then that's what should be said. But I'm not reading a lot about the quality of the film...I'm reading a lot of mean-spirited name calling. Yet the people from the film, from crew to stars, are not stooping to that level or rolling in the gutter. That makes me lean in their direction.I, for one, will definitely see September Dawn. Hope you see it, too, then write your own reviews. Let's hear what movie-goers and ticket-buying American audiences think of it, not just what some biased...

The 'Net is buzzing, thanks to an announcement at Comic-Con that Dean Cain will be appearing this season in Smallville ...as a possible "baddie," according to TV Squad. And according to HouseOfElPodcast.com, Mr. Cain will be playing a doctor that may be able to cure meteor freaks. Hmmm, sounding pretty interesting, and like a lot of fun!One of my favorite TV info sites, SpoilerFix.com, offers even more details, such as the character's name (Dr. Curtis Knox), and some question as to whether Dr. Knox is good or bad.And for you Superman fans, KRYPTONSITE.COM's headline reads, "Dean Cain On Smallville...
