Unexpected wisdom
2008-01-04 17:57:00
this pic has nothing to do with content of this blog. i just like it. Yesterday, a customer came to my office to pick up some merchandise and we ended up having a 30 minutes conversation about everything. A year ago, this customer told me he is a "moonie" from the Unification Church. How I found out was a "brotherhood" type ring he wore on his right hand and of course, nosy me had to ask. His honesty was rewarded with me acting quite indifferent towards him, due to subtle judgemental views on my part, eventhough he seems like a very friendly humble person. Anyway, yesterday he came in the office and we wished each other a happy new year and I found myself warming up to this guy, thanks to my new year's resolution of "embracing the goodness in everyone" and we began to talk. He mentioned living in North Korea for a month for a retreat and staying at a montain where it supposedly has a very light refreshing spiritual energy, a good place to meditate and get to an enlightened state of...

New Year's Reflection
2008-01-04 17:10:00
Happy New Year everyone! Year 2008 is finally here! What is in store for us, as a nation, as part of mankind, and as individuals, is a mystery. I can vaguely guess the future of our economy, culture, and the evolution of technology and how they may have an impact on our lives. I can guess what type of new more insensible laws they may create or who's gonna win the presidential election; but when it comes to my own personal life, I'm totally clueless. Go figure. My recent solution is a fruitless escapade in the World of Warcraft, which is surprisingly very fun. I have several dreams which I'd like to see fulfill eventually in this lifetime. Being 28 years old means I have plenty of time, spunk, and health but unexpected calamities are inevitable. Therefore, it is crucial that not a day will be wasted from now onwards. The hardest part is how to go about doing it and actually going about to do it. So my goal this year is to get things done, to grow wiser and smarter, embrace life's...

An unusual disdain WTF?!
2007-12-13 00:14:00
Ok, I don't think it's fair for someone with a blog that's about motherhood to be challenging me! a girl who post whatever I feel like posting at the moment. Or someone who just post photographs in his blog and everyone votes for this person all the time, not mentioning names. There should be a limit on how many times a blog can take up a battle challenge. Otherwise, it is unfair to the rest of the world. That's all.

Must you be a good writer or talk about yourself to be a good blogger?
2007-12-10 20:41:00
This is a question I've been pondering on for some time. Because I'm definitely NOT a good writer and do not like to expose my personal life to the public on my blog. I also don't really like to voice out my opinions "TOO much" because I don't think anyone gives a damn and besides, opinions can change from time to time so I don't really like to write something here which may not be valid a few months later. It is not something I'm comfortable with so I hope that everyone will understand and still enjoy themselves and be entertained when they come visit my blog. Cheers!

Yokohama school to cancel lunch for 2 days due to oil price hike
2007-12-06 19:32:00
YOKOHAMA ? An elementary school run by the city of Yokohama has decided not to serve lunch for two days in January due to the hike in food costs stemming from the recent upsurge in crude oil prices, the city education board said Wednesday. It is the only known case of one of its schools curtailing lunch services because of soaring oil prices, according to the board. An official of the Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Ministry also called the decision "unusual nationwide." Ekoda Elementary School decided to cancel lunches on Jan 8-9 as higher food prices led meal costs up to October to surpass initial estimates by nearly 10%. In Yokohama, all 347 city-run elementary schools prepare their lunches on their own and collect 3,700 yen per month, or about 220 yen per day, from pupils. Additional charges are not allowed. _.._.._

Being held hostages at Hillary Clinton's office.
2007-11-30 22:13:00
What's going on! It's like every month, some person with a psychotic personality is zapped from auto space to spring up and do crazy stuff like killing people. I swear, it may be hidden messages sent out through radiowaves and televisions that are making people do these crazy things! So everyone should always be on your toes and look out for subliminal messages placed throughout the nation. On another note, have a Merry X'mas everyone! I know there's another month left but seriously, all the stores like Target & Kmart are putting those trees up like X'mas is tomorrow! So when X'mas is finally here, I don't know if I'll still be as excited as I used to when I don't see X'mas trees until a week before, you know? Two people held hostage at Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign office in Rochester, New Hampshire, have been freed. Neither hostage was harmed. "A young woman with a 6-month or 8-month-old infant came rushing into the store just in tears, and she said, 'You need to ...

Ultrasonic 'Mosquito' Ringtones - can only be heard by kids below 20
2007-11-30 20:10:00
What is the Mosquito Ringtone?A tone outside the audible range of hearing of most people over 20. Ultrasonics are great new ringtones that play at a higher frequency than normal tones. This means that they can only be heard by kids and generally can't be heard by adults over the age over 20 or so. This means that you can get phone calls and receive text messages in class or school without teachers hearing it. Sweet!Origin = EuropeMosquito is a teenager repellent - an ultrasonic device that emits a sound only audible to teenagers. It's targeted to business seeking a solution to anti social youths hanging in front of their stores fronts and driving their customers away. The box is installed in front of a store and emits an unbearable sound, only discernable to those under 20! driving them away.Apparently, the company has sold thousands of models in the UK, to the complete delight of it's inventor, Howard Stapleton. It seems that there is a very real medical phenomenon known as presb...

Giuliani's Mistress Used N.Y. Police as Taxi Service
2007-11-29 22:47:00
Big news! Secrets are coming out one by one.. this is interesting. Giuliani's not gonna win the presidential candidate (he's too short), it's so obvious. Joke.Giuliani's Mistress used NYPD as Taxi Service ... WHOA !! and he's supposed to be a Catholic or Christian? I say it's all BS.. don't matter what your religion is, if you're a scum you can't hide behind your religious or political facades. And don't go proclaiming your faith to others because it'll just make your religion or God look bad. But I'm even more surprised that he was able to get a date in the first place. Must be a killer in bed, lol! ArticleWell before it was publicly known he was seeing her, then-married New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani provided a police driver and city car for his mistress Judith Nathan, former senior city officials tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com. "She used the PD as her personal taxi service," said one former city official who worked for Giuliani.New York papers reported in 2000 that the ...

"Tree Man' - the followup
2007-11-29 01:04:00
Row over 'tree man' virus samplesI'm debating on whether i should put up the 'tree man' picture again because last time it made some people sick in the stomach. I don't get all eekie on "tree man". I get all eekie on bugs and gooey stuff like those humungous tumor heads but bark like creatures I'm quite comfortable with. So I decide to put up just a mini pic, enough to get the vision across. enjoy ^_^;Indonesia's health minister, Siti Fadilah Supari, lambasted the US doctor currently treating the 35-year-old man, who has the rare affliction caused by the Human Papilloma Virus. Mrs Supari is angry that Dr Anthony Gaspari has taken blood and tissue samples out of the country to the United States in a bid to diagnose the illness. She claims such samples could be used in the future to make vaccines that the poor could not afford.Developing nations such as Indonesia risk exploitation unless they maintain control over their virus strains, Mrs Supari said. Ok guys seriously, It's ...

A Result of Global Warming ? shown in Jakarta
2007-11-28 08:25:00
Sea level rises like never before in Jakarta , Indonesia. A wealthy estate, Pantai Mutiara, which is located right by the ocean has been flooded since Sunday the 25th. Is this caused by global warming ? It is, after all, a theory that the first country to be underwater will be Indonesia. I hope this won't happen until a century from now...

Montclair State Unveils Mandatory 'School Phone'
2007-11-28 05:24:00
Students Must Carry And Pay For GPS-Based Cell DeviceHonestly, I'd much rather be reporting on Giant bird sightings or mysterious crop circles but this article just doesn't sit well on my stomach. Although this does not in anyway concerns my well being, it's like reading in the paper about some old lady being mugged or domestic abuse, that sorta thing. What in the world were these people in Board of Education thinking ? "Well profit is down, one way to get more money is to sell mobile phones to the students, Yeah!" "And of course we'll make up a whole bunch of reasonings on why it'd be for their own good, cos we know what's best for everyone else."College students at Mont clair State University are all talking about a new requirement that will require students to have a cell phone. CBS 2 HD has learned more on this required feature that is forcing students to dig into their wallets. At Montclair State, there is no excuse for being out of touch. San Antonio's Mystery Bird - Gigantic & PreHistoric
2007-11-21 20:59:00
Expert trying to identify mysterious bird flying around S. TexasMore sightings of a huge flying creature, originally reported by KENS, have prompted an investigation to determine if it is a monster or myth. "Even though it was dark, the thing itself was black. The blackest I'd ever seen," said Frank Ramirez. Ramirez sketched a drawing of the large, bird-like creature. The image is disturbing, and similar to dozens of sightings across San Antonio and South Texas. An earlier KENS story about a large, prehistoric-like bird drew more than 100,000 hits on MySanAntonio.com. More than a few people in San Antonio came forward to say they'd seen the creature, too.One woman contacted KENS by e-mail, saying that because of our story, she now knows she's not crazy. _.._.._

2007-11-20 07:18:00
A British man who moved to New Zealand has been told by officials that his wife is too fat to join him. read news here... You may think this is funny or you may be enraged after reading this news. Well.. how do you think many of us feel when they banned smoking in bars and Casinos ? Soon, they are gonna say we can't smoke in cars or at our own bloody house! Soon you won't be able to get a job for being overweight or enjoy a Big Mac cos it's banned. But we're all just gonna sit back and let them take control of our lives. Yeap. It's for our own good, you say. Well guess what? They don't care about your well being, they're putting you down like ur dumb, ur not good enough, you can't think for yourselves and then they use our weaknesses as an excuse to make a profit and to keep us down and helpless. Bangladesh cyclone death toll hits 15,000
2007-11-20 05:54:00
Up to 15,000 people were killed and seven million lives left devastated by the cyclone in Bangladesh last week, aid agencies have said as the full extent of the disaster became clear. The Bangladeshi Red Crescent Society, the country's main humanitarian group, said that more than 3,000 bodies had already been recovered from villages shattered by Cyclone Sidr's 150mph winds. While the official death toll remains low, Save the Children last night said that it feared that 15,000 people could have died while the Red Crescent estimated around 10,000. _.._.._ It seems like towards the end of every year some massive tragedies are needed to occur. As I contemplate upon this, I came to the realisation that perhaps this serves as a constant reminder, to the majority of us who has roofs on our heads, families & loved ones, a computer to go online to read up on Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, and of course, food on the table, of just how fortunate we truly are. Yet, no matter how fortunate ...
