2008-10-31 14:40:00 The biggest celebration in years will begin noon at 20th and Market , going towards South of Broad Street and end at the sports complex that houses Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park. Parking will be limited, so if you can take SEPTA or PATCO to the city, that would be your best bet. Also get out there early. I was driving to work this morning and already saw people heading down there.If you planned on attending, behave yourself don't mess it up for everyone else! This is a time to celebrate this city victory, not to act like a fool. Yeah..... 2008-08-27 15:28:00 I got so caught up with the Olympics I forgot to mention WDAS-FM's Unity Weekend . Held on the Waterfront on Saturday, August 23, 2008 and Sunday, August 24, 2008 at The Great Plaza at Penns Landing.Note: Now I managed to get there when everything was pretty much over on Sunday (I was out of town at a convention). However, for what I did see and after interviewing couple people (Juanita) it was too crowded. In the pass Unity Day (now weekend) were usually held on the parkway. For some reason this year, it was held at Penn?s Landing. Not to speak badly about Penn?s Landing but it?s too close-in to host something like Unity Day ?..sorry ?Weekend?.
