Pick Up Stix Stix Combo , $6.99. These was the house special chicken with noodles and fried wontons. Comes with a drink. We had a coupon, so everything was free. We never eat food like Pick Up Stix or Panda Express because we know it's not gonna taste like real Chinese food, it's just nasty American Chinese food. Just like we thought, this food was nasty. La Paris Bakery in Valencia , CA, back in April 2008. The total was $11.44. The owner said they bake fresh daily. We haven't been back since then, so hopefully they are still doing freshly baked pastries. I believe they are also serving crepes now. Taste was a okay. The mille feuille and puff were fine, baguette was fine, croissant looked like Vons quality though.Baguette was fresh, just came out of the oven. It was really long.I don't know what they are, but they were super sweet and sticky. I'm guessing maybe deep-fried dough coated in syrup or something. We had a coupon for a free burger and dessert for my husband's birthday, so this burger and dessert was free. This is not a place I'd go to often, and the reason is the calories and fat. I mean, one burger over 1600 calories?? No way I'm eating this whole burger. That's almost the calories I have to eat in one day! The pie was really heavy and rich, and it has 350 calories, and the Kilauea burger has 1,650 calories! We shared, of course. I think I had 1/4 of burger, he had half on the day we got it, and he had the left overs the next day. We were at the opening day of Encore. When we were playing at Wynn around 7-7:30pm, already there people were waiting, so my husband got in line at 7:30pm while I was playing slots. The opening was at 8pm, but by the time we finally got inside Encore was about 8:30pm. We wanted to play slots, but every single seat was taken. Nothing open and people were just standing and waiting for a seat to open. We saw so many jackpots. My husband also saw the owner of the Palms casino walking around. Compared to Wynn, I think Encore is smaller, maybe like half of the size. Inside is very nice just like Wynn. Encore casinoPeople waiting to get in to Encore. Golden Nugget South Tower Room . Very dated. This room reminds me of the old Treasure Island rooms. Our room didn't have any pillows. Also, there's a $50 a day charge if you check out early. We were not happy with this place at all, waiting 30 minutes to check in, absolutely no open self-parking spaces, so we had to park at the Four Queens, even though we were hotel guests. And their computer shuts off after midnight or so, so you don't get a receipt if you try to check out late night. We always like to make sure everything on our bill is correct, nothing extra charged, since many times in the past the casinos have made mistakes.Internet access: $12.99 per day. We had a $15 food credit, so we ordered the ham steak and their secret menu item (although, it's not a secret anymore, but it's not on the menu), the $7.77 steak and shrimp special.The $7.77 steak and shrimp special is supposed to come with (or at least the website says) an 8-ounce New York sirloin steak, three jumbo shrimps, salad, garlic mashed potatoes and a roll. We didn't get a roll. We also got fries instead of mashed potatoes. You can choose. Shrimp was grilled, and it was good, steak was OK, for this price. So, yeah, it's not a bad deal. The tower is actually moving slowly and we did felt a little sick.The food was fine, but after we received our bread, we waited about 20 minutes to get our entrees. Then after we fished eating, we didn't see our waitress, and we had to wait another 30 minutes to get a dessert menu, then order, then wait again to receive dessert. Sahara Tangiers Suite hotel room. It's got 2 rooms, 2 TVs (although, most of the channels on the bedroom TV didn't work), bar area with fridge that doesn't get cold. We also found out there is a gym in this floor. I think it was the very top floor. We actually went to the gym, it's very small, but if you are hotel guest, check it out. sink outside bathroom, in bedroomConditioning shampoo and soaps. That's all you get. Sourdough Cafe at Arizona Charlie's. These photos are from July and August in 2008 . We both liked this place because it was really cheap. Plus we get dining credits coupons in the mail. It's only like $30 every month or so, but for $30 you can get more than enough food at this cafe. But when we went back in November, the prices had been changed. So unfortunately, you don't get these prices anymore. Although they are still doing some specials for players club members. I'll post pics from November soon.The food here is pretty much just like Denny's. Taste and quality wasn't good, but you get big portions and it was cheap. They had a strawberry shortcake for $1.77 (I believe), but now, it's $2.99.Also, Arizona Charlie's is the place where we did really good on "eBay" video slots. Hard Rock casino standard hotel room. I liked the design. But there are so many things I didn't like about this place that we'll probably never stay here again.Reason 1 - Because every minute or so, an airplane is flying outside and it's really noisy. Maybe you're not gonna notice if you are drunk and sleeping, but I kept waking up because of the noise.Reason 2 - If you don't check out at check out time, every hour they're gonna charge $100 fee. We were SO nervous and stressful about this. This is the another reason that I couldn't sleep well. Also there is a daily resort fee $7, I believe. Carson Street Cafe at Golden Nugget. We arrived in Vegas late this day and we had to check-in to two hotels. This was right after we checked-in Golden Nugget, and it was already midnight. Since we didn't eat before we left home, we were too hungry to find another place to eat, so we decided to try here. Because we got to this cafe 1 minute after midnight, all their menu changed. If we had got here 10 minutes earlier, we could have had the dinner menu and I'm sure I had more choice and I could get something. From what we saw people eating, they had fried chicken, spaghetti, etc. Anyway, I posted the midnight menu below. I couldn't find anything I wanted to eat, so only my husband got food. I tried the bread.This sandwich arrived just a couple minutes after we ordered. The portion was big. Taste wasn't fresh. I can tell they didn't cook it, probably just sitting for a while. We finally had a chance to try BLT Burger at Mirage. We read so many positive reviews, so we wanted to try this place. This place was very good just like everybody said. I loved my milkshake. You must try their shakes. I also loved my husband's American Kobe burger. I had a bite and it was very tasty. He loved it, too. My Asian burger was very unusual and original. You can probably only get it here, nowhere else. The patty was mixed pork and shrimp, topped with carrots and daikon, also there were some kind of spread. I wasn't crazy about this burger. My husband tried it and liked it, but I won't order this burger again. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get this, but the waiter said maybe it's like a potsticker, so I decided to try it. The burger had a very strong shiso taste, so if you don't like shiso, I don't recommend it.
