Circus Circus - The Steak House
2008-11-12 12:48:00 The Steak House at Circus Circus. I read so many reviews saying this place is great. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed. The service was great. But they didn't cook our meat correct. First, they messed up mine and my husband's steak for how we wanted them to be cooked. I said well done and he said medium well, and they did the opposite. The second time, his steak was right, but mine wasn't, so I returned it again, and the third time, finally I got my steak. Because of this, our potato and vegetables were cold. I've never returned food this many times.Bananas Foster was excellent. Really good after heavy steak.Dinner includes bread, vegetable and your choice of black bean soup or house salad, garlic mashed potatoes, baked potato or rice pilaf.Black bean soupSaladtopping for baked potatoRibeye $44Petite filet (filet mignon) $37Bananas Foster $7menuRating: 3 / 5Repeat: Maybe(702) 794-3767http://www.circuscircus.com/dinin g/the_steakhouse.aspx
Bellagio Labor Day Weekend Gourmet Buffet 2008
2008-11-10 10:04:00 Labor Day weekend was really busy in Las Vegas. We had RFL at Bellagio and we were planning to go to Olives, but we didn't have a reservation and it was all sold out for this day, so we changed our plans and went to this buffet. We had a line pass, so we got in about 5 minutes, but if you don't you'll have to wait a couple hours. The line was the longest I have ever seen for the Bellagio buffet. This special buffet was $39.95 a person. But I'm not sure what's different from regular buffet, maybe they had A LITTLE bit more food, but it looked almost the same. I was so surprised they were serving this low-quality sushi, as there were so many Asians here. Rice was mashed, and octopus or something was super hard, and hijiki had no taste. Silverton Casino - Seasons Buffet 2008
2008-11-08 13:04:00 Seasons Buffet at the Silverton Casino in July, 2008 . This was the lunch buffet and about $10 a person. We got here 15-30 minutes before they closed (I think they close between lunch and dinner). And I don't know if that's the reason, but there was only one waitress, also there were nobody at the carving station area. Service was awful, every time we asked for drinks, we had to wait over 5 minutes. I don't think they were actually making the water or Coke so I don't know why it took so long.I ordered orange juice, but it didn't taste like orange juice. It tasted like medicine or fake. I also ordered coffee, and it came in a big mug with lipstick marks and coffee stains on it. Ice cream tasted like medicine also. Dessert was cheap buffet quality, and Chinese food was awful.Overall, the food was awful, there were flying bugs, dirty dishes, and bad service. I don't recommend. You should just go to Sundance Grill Cafe.Rating: 1 / 5Repeat: NOhttp://www.silvertoncasino.com/categor. .. More About: Seasons

Red Mango frozen yogurt
2008-11-06 08:49:00 Frozen Yogurt at Red Mango . To me, the taste is just like any other frozen yogurt. I can't tell the difference of frozen yogurt. But one thing that is different about this "Red Mango" is that they have mochi for topping. We liked the mochi topping a lot. This is the regular frozen yogurt with mochi topping. big air pocketThis is the green tea frozen yogurt with blackberry.Regular frozen yogurt with raspberries, blackberries, and mango, $5.The mango was really hard and it wasn't sweet yet. Cafe St.Louis - Paris hotel
2008-11-04 11:39:00 Le Cafe Ile St. Louis at Paris hotel, Las Vegas. I don't know what happened to this place, but when we ate here, in July, the food was awful, and the service was terrible. We just couldn't believe how everything sucked. After we were seated, we didn't get a waiter for 30 minutes, yup, 30 minutes not even water, and we couldn't place our order. Finally we received free bread and it wasn't so good.My husband ordered fish & chips, and I ordered La Parisien, "one of the most famous sandwiches in Paris", but my sandwich really sucked. The bread was awful, actually the free bread we got was better than this, so I made a mini sandwich with a left over roll. After making one mini roll, I still had half of the sandwich left, so I just ate ham. While we were waiting to get the waiter, we saw Chinese customers eating Chinese food next to us, so we asked the waiter, and we found out that they have a secret menu for Asians. But we also saw that these Chinese people were spitting out ... More About: Hotel , St Louis

Jazmin's Bakery - Newhall, CA
2008-10-31 07:37:00 Jazmin's Bakery / Panaderia in newhall, CA. I guess the owner is Mexican, since this place sells not only cakes, donuts and pastries, but also tamales, quesadillas, ojos, bolillos, etc. I don't know much about this area, but there are some Mexican supermarkets and restaurants around here, so maybe you can get good homemade tamales and other Mexican food at this bakery.Hard to believe that I can actually get a donut ball for 10 cents in 2008. That's a really good deal.None of the cakes had name tags, so I don't know their names. The taste was OK, for $2.50. donuts 10 cents each, 30 cents totalTiramisu $2.50 $2.50 I don't remember if the pink part was raspberry or strawberry.$2.50 I think the yellow part was custard, and the white part was cream or something.Rating: 3.5 / 5Repeat: YesJazmin's24330 San Fernando Rd.Newhall, CA 91321(661) 799-2915

Izumiya - Hizen Nagasakiya Nagasaki Castella
2008-10-25 11:52:00 Izumiya Hizen Nagasaki ya Nagasaki Castella (sponge cake). When I saw this at Mitsuwa, I just had to get it. Because it says it's actually made in Nagasaki, Japan. I can get this without flying to Japan. It's a really soft sponge cake, a little sweet, but not like American yellow cake. Very elegant and melting in my mouth. Really good with tea. This castella was just so good. It was worth paying $4.49. There were 3 flavors, this one was honey, they also had green tea and ... Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill fast food
2008-10-23 14:08:00 We had a free fish taco coupon so we got food at Rubio's. This was my first time trying Rubio's.My opinion is it's too expensive for the quality of the food. Their famous fish taco really sucked. I had one bite and felt so sick. That fish tasted horrible, just like some of the other fast food frozen fish. I thought the portobello and avocado combo was kinda weird, although I didn't eat the avocado since I don't like them. It was kinda messy. Don't order this portobello while you are on a date. Anyway, if there's El Taco Llama near where you live, that's 100 times better than this nasty fast food. 2008-10-21 00:03:00 Roman Tower hotel room at Caesars Palace . This is the older tower and this room didn't have a bathroom door. If you are staying by yourself, it would be fine, but not for us. Luckily, we were staying somewhere else too. Looks like some of the Roman Tower rooms don't have bathroom doors, so if you care about that, make sure they have it. Other than that, the room was fine. The Palazzo - Cut
2008-10-14 10:02:00 Wolfgang Puck's "Cut" at the Palazzo. It's a very popular place, we had a reservation, but still ended up waiting over 30 minutes. The waiting part always sucks, but we got a booth, great service and the food was delicious. So we were pretty happy with this place. We both loved our appetizer: "crab and shrimp Louis". I ordered the kurobuta pork chop. It was huge, probably like 2 pounds, we shared, of course. It was sooooo soft. I basically don't like pork, EXCEPT bacon and kurobuta. I know, it sounds strange. Since this is Wolfgang's restaurant, I figured I could probably get really good kurobuta pork, and it was good. Very flavorful, and I can just keep going eating, never get sick of that taste. My husband ordered the turbot, because he never had it before, and Gordon Ramsay always uses this fish to make his fish dishes. He loved it, but I wasn't crazy about it. Maybe just because I don't like to eat cooked white fish and, to me, it was kinda no taste.Even though we were so ...

Payard Patisserie & Bistro - Caesars Palace, June 2008
2008-10-10 07:55:00 One of our favorite places to eat, Payard at Caesars Palace . Part of the reason we really like this place is because everything is homemade, no pre-made instant stuff. They used to have a dessert tasting menu for dinner or something like that, but they don't have it anymore. I ordered eggs benedict and it was sooo good. The best eggs benedict I ever had, although I don't know how many times I've had it before. What I remember is I had crab benedict at MGM cafe and it was awful and it cost the same price. Cream Pan - Tustin, CA
2008-10-09 07:44:00 I finally found my favorite bakery in California. Probably my personal best bakery around Los Angeles. Every single item I bought was excellent. You could easily find the same taste of this bakery in Japan, but it's so hard to find here in America. The only problem is that they close at 4pm and it's located in O.C. We got here a little before 2pm and already more than half of their items were gone, also the bread I wanted was sold out.Everything is pretty reasonably priced compared to other bakeries with this quality.
