2008 DODGERS

The Dodgers got two major names, Joe Torre and Andrew Jones.  Joe is Hollywood Status and definitely going to bring in more fans than before, like if we needed more fans.  But he's also going to bring that championship presence and hopefully it will rub off on the players.  Andrew Jones brings power and great defensive play and a big name in our line up.  If he can have a season he's capable of having then we are right up there with the New York Mets.

Lets begin with the West.  For my guards I'm going with steve nash and kobe bryant.  At small forward Carmello Anthony and at power forward Boozer.  At center Kamen. Now for the East.  Guards, Jason Kidd and Dwayne Wade.  Forwards, Lebron James and at power forward Chris Bosh.  Center, Dwight Howard. If these are the starters or not it's still going to be an incredible game.

HERE ARE SOME TIPS ON HOLIDAY SHOPPING.      TRY SHOPPING ON THE INTERNET.  NO WAITING IN LONG LINES, NO RUDE PEOPLE PUSHING YOU OUT OF THE WAY FOR THE LAST SHIRT AND NO HECTIC PARKING.  IF YOU DO PREFER TO GO OUT TO THE MALL/JUNGLE THIS TIME OF YEAR TRY GOING RIGHT WHEN THE STORES OPEN.  ALSO TRY TO FINISH YOUR SHOPPING IN ONE DAY, IF YOU CAN.  DONT WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE TO SHOP.  HOPE THIS HELPS.

Converting CD's to WAV format to use Music on Windows Movie Maker

         I was asked to create a slideshow with music on it.  I said no problem! We'll it was a problem.  Music from itunes, napster or even my CD's could'nt be inserted in powerpoint or windows movie maker.  I spent all day to try to find a FREE software program on the internet to use.  I found a lot of them and a lot of them didn't work and could only be used for a website, myspace or a blog.  Also most of them were pretty complicated and I didnt have time to deal with them.  I finally came across a program called One-Click CD Converter 1.5. http://www.soft32.com/download_64644.html .  It was sooooo simple to use.  Just pop in your CD and click convert and that was it.  After that I just chose a song and inserted it in my slideshow using Windows movie maker.  Its a free download and only takes a second to download.                    Go ...

           I FIRST HEARD AND PLAYED THIS GAME LAST WEEK AT A FRIENDS HOUSE.  SHE SAID SHE BOUGHT A NEW GAME CALLED SKIP BO.  I TOLD HER LETS PLAY.  SO US AND A COUPLE OF OTHERS PLAYED THIS GAME, AND NOW I'M HOOKED.  WE ALL HAD SO MUCH FUN. OUT OF 162 CARD DECK TWO TO SIX PLAYERS ARE EACH DELT 20 CARDS.  THE FIRST ONE TO DEPLETE THEIR PILE WINS.  ITS A SIMPLE AND VERY FUN GAME THAT THE WHOLE FAMILY WILL ENJOY.  YOU CAN FIND IT IN THE TOY SECTION NEXT TO UNO.  IT COSTS AROUND 10$, WHICH IS VERY CHEAP.  PLEASE COMMENT ON ANYTHING ELSE YOU KNOW ON SKIP-BO YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE.

Trick or Treat Tips for Parents

Feed your kids a healthy meal prior to going trick or treat. Children of any age should be accompanied by a parent, if possible. Purchased costumes should be made of flame-retardant material. Insist that your child goes to the bathroom BEFORE leaving the house. Recipe for Rice pudding (Arroz con leche)

Blogger Cat posted a comment about how to make rice pudding. Rice pudding (Arroz con Leche) recipe. INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup short grained rice 4 cinnamon stick 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk 1 (14 ounce) can condensed milk 2 cups low fat milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup raisins (optional) DIRECTIONS Combine rice and cinn sticks. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes until the rice is tender. While the rice is cooking, combine 2 cup of milk, the cinnamon stick, and anise in another saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring mixture to a low boil for 3 minutes, then remove saucepan from stove. Strain flavored water into a bowl and set aside, discarding cinnamon stick and anise pieces. After rice has simmered for 20 minutes, and over low heat, gradually stir evaporated milk and condensed milk into the rice. Mix in the cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Add raisins, if desired. Continu...
