The Best Pumpkin Pie!

I just love pumpkin pie...so you all now know what I voted for in my Turkey Day Poll below!!!  Epicurilicous, I must tell you!  Love it!!!!  Anway, I ran accross a recipe called "The Best Pumpkin Pie" and, although I have not yet made it, I can see why they claim it as such.  IT HAS A BRANDY WHIPPED CREAM ON TOP!!!  Mmmmm...somehow I do not think you can go wrong with this!Check out the recipe and PLEASE let me know if you make this one.  I need to know if this is as good as it seems.  If I  make it, in the near future, you can be assured you will hear about it.By the way, make sure to visit tomorrow, because we are going to have some very important turkey talk. I will present key tips on cooking your best Turkey ever.  I don't think you will want to miss it.  I am already getting excited just thinking about it!

Don't we all want to "Dine like a Star "?  I sure do!  I want expensive food, the best restaurants and amazing ambiance.  The closest I can get to this is the "Dine like a Star" promotion.  Enter by December 25 for the chance to win the $10,000 grand prize vacation package of dining and sightseeing in NYC.  25 others will get a $25 visa card (not enough to buy even a "star quality" entree, but I would still take it!).  Okay, I am off to enter for that $10K prize!  Wish me luck!

I have to share this incredible recipe with you.  These muffins seemed to melt in my mouth after pulling them out of the oven.  Spread a little butter over these when warm and you can enjoy a little slice of heaven.  Epicurilicious!!!!Here is the recipe, so you can enjoy these delicious breakfast treats.....Cinnamon Banana Bread Muffin s 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 bananas, mashed 3/4 cup white sugar 1 egg, lightly beaten 1/3 cup canola oil 1 cup walnuts (optional) 3/4 teaspoon vanilla (optional) 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon butter  1. Preheat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease 10 muffin cups, or line with muffin papers. 2. In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Bobby Flay on Iron Chef, Fave Restaurants & More!

Last night was a blast, I made my way over to meet Bobby Flay.  I wish I could have said that he cooked some amazing dinner for us at one of his NYC restaurants, but no, this was a simple book signing at Borders to kick off his new book,Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill Cookbook.  Still, I will take what I can get.   I was way excited, which you can definitely tell by this picture. Bobby had an approachable, friendly and easy-going attitude when he talked about regional food and his culmination of recipes from his restaurant Mesa Grill, which makes up this cookbook.  I shot out a question that I have always wanted to know, "Do you know the secret ingredient on Iron Chef before the show starts, so that you can prepare?"  He spilled the beans at this point and said that after the show starts and the secret ingredient is announced, there is about 5-7 minutes to recalibrate the cameras and they can talk menu a bit mo...

Mmmm...Best Latte Ever!!!

I am in a constant quest for the best of the best in regards to anything culinary!  So, let's talk about the best latte around.  Don't let my coffee mug in the picture fool you; this is not a latte from Starbucks, D.D.'s (Dunkin Donuts), Coffee Bean or any other mass market coffee store, but instead it comes straight from Downtown Chicago! Straight from my own Epicurista Kitchen!  Delish!Here is the daily grind on how this best latte is brewed up!  It all starts with a great espresso machine! So, I researched for days, and I think I finally found the "best of the best" in regards to  espresso machines. Here we go!!!  The first entry of the epicurista blog!!!5.  Because no one knows what the heck epicurista means, since I made up the word.  But, by the time this blog is going full force you will be familiar with this new epicurean word (hint, hint!) in a very intimate sense!4.  Because I just love food!  There is just so much to say about great filet mignon, cheeses, restaurants, kitchen gadgets, delicious recipes and more....  I am not just going to put up some random stuff, but I am trying to find the best of the best in the culinary universe to share with you!!3.
