Recipe: Italian Meatballs
2008-04-21 00:58:00
Last week, I had an idea to make some italian meatballs on pasta and, although they turned out a little like hamburgers, they tasted quite good and I reckon worthy of putting up. Not only can these meatballs be used in this dish, but tried on their own as a burger. They?ve got a little ...

I’m a little tender today from my first hockey match yesterday for the proper season. We played against a team that came down from the higher league and I got a bit of a workout. Food-wise, I’ve been managing to make some different pasta dishes in preperation for the next day at hockey. I’ll ...

2008-04-18 00:44:00
Before heading to the Western Bulldogs match against St.Kilda for a great win, my parents and I headed to Greco in Crown Casion for dinner. This place is always banked back with queues to get in and I always thought it was because of the grand display of cakes and desserts on offer, but, ...

2008-04-16 00:47:00
I was debating whether to post this recipe or not, as the photo itself is not the best.  What I’ve noticed is that I haven’t been able to take a good photo of noodles ever.  No matter what I do they never turn out!  However, it doesn’t mean that it lacks in the flavour! What I ...

2008-04-13 23:55:00
This lovely soup has been made twice in two weeks, as I enjoyed it so much. The carrot and chickpeas blend in well, providing a lovely thick soup to have with some crusty bread. It’s relatively easy to make by just adding all your ingredients and blending or mashing afterwards! There’s a couple of ingredients that ...

Recipe: Fake Chorizo, Bacon and Potato Pasta
2008-03-19 00:20:00
This meal is a take on the Spanish Chorizo, Bacon and Potato tapas.  Using the combination in a pasta with some parmesan is a good combination of protein and carbohydrates.  To allow for a vegan version, use some vegan cheese or omit it altogether. This version has been lowered in calories by steaming the potatoes before mixing into the vegetarian fake meat combination, however if you not worried about the extra calories, fry off the potatoes before adding to the pasta mix! Serves: 3 serves Ingredients: 200 grams organic pasta spirals, cooked 3 vegetarian hot dogs, chopped thinly 2 potatoes, peeled and roughly chopped 2 cups tomato passata 2 tsp sweetener of you choice 3 vegetarian bacon pieces of your choice pinch parmesan 1/2 red onion, diced 2 tsp paprika 2 tsp garlic mince drizzle olive oil Instructions: Steam the potatoes in salty water. Drizzle the oil in the pot and mix thoroughly the onion and garlic into the oil. Once the onion has softened, mix the vegetarian bacon ...
