Grand Martini

Martini is no great cocktail only but vermouth. This cocktail is Grand Martini (& Rossi of course). Grand Martini 1 dash Creme de menthe green 3 dashes kirsch 4 dashes apricot brandy 30 ml dry vermouth 30 ml sweet vermouth 30 ml dry gin Shake. Cocktail glass. Grand drink!

In my bar is bottle of Grand Marnier now. And my 1st cocktail with this great liquor is B-52. B-52 10 ml Kahlua coffee liqueur 10 ml Irish cream liqueur 10 ml Grand Marnier Layer in the order given in shot glass. Turn out the lights and ignite the Grand Marnier! Imbibe!

As for me, it is not simple cocktail with gin and lime cordial. As for me it is grandiose remedy for my stomach after holiday surfeit. The proportion is variable of course …   Gimlet 50 ml gin 25 ml lime cordial Build (or stir, or shake). Tumbler with ice cubes and lime slice. Panacea!

Fruit Daiquiri is a very interesting cocktail. It has beautiful variable color, fresh, light and in some case exotic taste and so high alcogol contetnt. It is work well year around, especial on winter it give us some summer color and some fresh friuts. I investigated Fruit Daiquiri last week and have a lot of fun. Ideal Fruit Daiquiri 40 ml white rum 20 ml fruit liqueur 30 ml lemon-lime mix 40 g fresh fruits 70 g crushed ice Blend. Cocktail glass with fruits garnish on a rim. I post the result of investigating  this beautifull drink here.

This cocktail was found on my favorite imbibers blog - The Cocktail Chronicles some weeks ago. Paul`s description of this cocktail is so intriguing and compositions seems me very interesting. Unusual combination of heavy rum and reposado tequila with creme de cassis  and lime (Pol`s limes were lousy…  hm-m-m-m… my favorite words for des cribing bad quality ungredients) promise interesting taste. Sangre de Agave 45 ml reposado tequila (Sierra Reposado G old) 15 ml dark, heavy rum (Angostura 1919) 20 ml fresh lime juice 15 ml creme de cassis 3 ml gomme syrup Shake. Cocktail glass. It is so nice modern cocktail with fresh and little bitter taste. Encantado 45 ml reposado tequila 20 ml peach brandy 5 ml raspberry liqueur 10 ml fresh lime juice Shake. Cocktail glass with mint sprig… But I think starfruit is more appropriate in  this case :)

Today I was purshased very interesting thing - the bottle of CAPEL Pisco Reservado. Pisco is specific grape brendy produced in Peru and Chile from muscat grape and aged in figuline which are coated with wax.   Signature cocktail for Pisco is Pisco Sou r, Pisco Punch, Pisco Bum… But I th ink that it is non original. What why I prepa re enother drink.   New Yorker (exotic) 20 ml Galliano 30 ml pisco 30 ml fresh grapefruit juice 15 ml fresh lime juice 10 ml gomme syrup Shake. Cocktail glass.

  One of the most popular afterdinner cocktail of Prohibition, Angel `s Tit is not so simple as you can think. Complex sweet and strong taste work well, unusually and wanton appearance (plus name of course!) make it very male  drink. It is one of modern fetish. My favorite recipe is not so simple as original (or common). Tequila Sunrise 7 ml grenadine 7 ml creme de cassis splash soda fill the orange juice 20 ml reposado tequila Shake grenadine, creme de cassis, soda and strain in icefilled collins glass. Add ice and orange juice, float tequila.
