2008-08-15 10:42:00 Steamed Duck Wrapped in Lotus Leaf Ingredients: 200g skinless duck meat 1 lotus leaf 1 teaspoon ginger, chopped 1 tablespoon shallot, chopped 1 teaspoon fennel powder 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon rice wine 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoon rice 1 tablespoon sticky rice Procedure 1. Cut duck meat into bite size cubes. Cut lotus leaf into 5 pieces. 2. Stir fry rice and sticky rice in a wok. Mash into powder. 3. Mix ginger,shallot, fennel powder, soy sauce, rice wine, salt into ingredient mixture, marinate duck cubes in it for 30mins(or more). 4. Coach with rice powder, wrap in lotus leaf. 5. Arrange lotus leaf packages on a plate. Add the plate on the drawer of a steamer. Steam for 40mins. 6. Take out, unwrap, serve. Serving method: Serve as main dish at lunch or dinner. Beneficial Function: Replenish Qi and nourish Yin. Suitable for coronary heart disease patients who are deficiency both in Yin and Qi. More About: Steamed

Clean kelp, cook in boiling water for 30mins, or until thoroughly cooked. 2. Cool in cold water, cut kelp into thread,put in a bowl. 3. Add salt, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil in the bowl(with kelp), stir well. Cool in refrige for 10mins. Take out, serve. Serving Method: Serve as side dish in the morning, lunch or dinner. Beneficial function: Resolve phlegm, reduce fat, smooth Qi. Help to treat coronary heart disease due to phlegm stasis.

Cut hawthorn into thin flakes. 2. Add hawthorn flakes and wolfberry seeds in a cup(heatproof), add boiling water, cover. 3. 10mins later, take out lid, cool, serve. Serving Method: Drink as tea. You can brew 3-5 times using the above material. Beneficial Function: Promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, nourishing liver and kidney. Suitable for those whose coronary heart disease belongs to stagnancy of Qi and blood stasis.
