Roast beef and beetroot with horseradish sauce
2007-10-01 09:42:00
My local butcher (The Crown Roast in Lingfield) always has good beef. Sourced from local farms and properly hung, the beef is always tender and tasty.  The beetroot season is on us now and I thought the earthy sweetness of roast would go well.

Another Spanish-influenced recipe - and one that's been through a few transformations. The chorizo and almond stuffing works very nicely with chicken thighs.

Nectarines with cardamom cream
2007-08-16 01:00:00
The nectarines are particularly good at the moment; sweet, juicy, ripe but firm enough to eat without getting into a terrible sticky mess - I thought a touch of spice might be nice.

Chicken Zagarella!
2007-07-31 09:38:00
This - belatedly - is the first of my holiday recipes.  Self-catering was definitely the way to go; visiting markets and small shops throughout the day, lunching somewhere nice, then coming back to cook some local food was a great policy.
