The NetSurfer is a complete computer with 80GB Hard Drive, DVD reader, and enough memory & processing power (Intel Celeron D 2.8GHz) to get you by VERY quickly.The system is designed to get you on the internet as quickly as possible (with FireFox pre-installed). With Ubuntu linux you can turn this system into a home or office workstation. The system also comes with OpenOffice already installed so you'll have your word processor, database, spreadsheet, etc.If you haven't tried Ubuntu, it is definitely one of the easiest to learn operating systems around. You will be able to go and get on the internet as soon as you plug things in. A great buy!

A Counter-Offer Has Been Made!

So the first offer was a no-go and their return offer to us was a no-no so we've made a counter offer (which is basically take our first offer or we walk). We do have time left in our current location so we're in no big hurry. Still hoping they accept, but if not, no big deal.------------------PolarPC System Lines are back.Three new system lines will be launched this week based on AMD chips (Sempron / Athlon 64). All will be complete systems. Price points are slated at $249, $399, and $499 and they will come with everything but OSes (which of course will be available as upgrade options).

We viewed one of the 'prospective' move sites on Saturday and things looked good. An offer was made for the property and will be submitted to the warehouse owners on Monday. The unit will more than double our available space (MORE INVENTORY!) so as far as I'm concerned it's a winner :)------------In other news the OutletPC Means Speed campaign is currently being formulated. Cool New Item: Cavalry 500GB External Hard Drive

Just got these in today and they seem to be VERY cool. One of the best features is the dual-option connectivity (USB or eSATA). If you don't know what eSATA is, read this. That makes it good for use on your own system or on the go (where eSATA might not be available yet).The design is slick and the built-in fan is a must to prevent buildup of heat. If you're going to be using large storage drives make sure you go with a unit w/ a fan or that can cause problems later.Overall a good deal for anybody who needs THAT MUCH external storage ;)

OutletPC On The Move...

After two years of growth, we're finally gearing up for our move. Our current contract in our location ends after June so we are actively looking for a new (LARGER) location somewhere in Las Vegas or Henderson.We'll post more details as more information becomes available...------------------In other news...UPS and Fedex have been battling it out to secure our volume contract. The more they compete, the better our rates so we're looking to draw this out as long as possible :) Currently we've shifted most of our volume over to Fedex and our customers have been pretty happy with the lower rates and better service. Soon we'll have to finalize the decision on who we'll be going with (at least for the year)...
