FairUse4WM v1.3 Fix 2 promises Vista, Zune DRM stripping

Oh, IT'S ON. After months of eager anticipation, it looks like either Viodentia has finally come out of hiding, or s/he's passed the torch on to another (Doom9 forum user Divine Tao?) -- but either way it looks like MS DRM IBX components up to version 11.0.6000.6324 are good to go with the latest version of FairUse4WM, v1.3 Fix 2 (read: this is the update we know you've all been waiting for). Zune Firmware Update 1.4 Improves Shuffle

The folks at Microsoft have a quick update for your Zune today that will improve your "shuffle experience" when playing back tracks. If you remember, the iPod had some complaints about its shuffle algorithm and they had to release an updated version that customized shuffle even further (like not having the same artist/album anywhere near each other). A Watermelon Red Zune on eBay?

A few days ago I saw a Red Zune auction on eBay. After contacting the seller and asking for some photos he, kindly sent me two photos of the box, but not of the player. I can't verify this is the box of the Watermelon Red Zune, as I haven't seen it before, but it sure looks like the Pink Zune box. Zune to get wireless downloads, version 2 hardware, flash player - engadget

Sometimes you can never know for sure, but we've got some pretty convincing material from a Zune source which shows a beta build of firmware v1.4 (shown as 2.1.4, perhaps as an internal designation). Apparently you'll finally be able to put your WiFi to good use (other than being a part of "the social") by using open WiFi hotspots (no word on WiFi you have the key for) and Microsoft points for downloading tracks. (Sorry, no word about subscriptions, syncing, and the like. And yes, we know the wireless icon is missing; we were told it was accidentally omitted from the download UI in this build.) Also up to bat in the near future, further confirmation that we can expect Zune v2 and a flash Zune in the next month or so -- perhaps just in time to remind people that Apple isn't the only game in town when the iPhone hype hits its peak.Source: Engadget

Up for auction today is a 30gb Limited Edition Brown Zune, given only to Zune ambassadors. There were only 200 made and it has a special etching on the back that no other limited edition Zune has. The art is a design created by Jeremy Fish especially for zunemasters and is featured on Zune-arts website. It is brand new. The Zune and accessories are still in the original box.As a bonus I will also include a very special Northface Zune ambassador Messenger bag which also has the zunemasters ambassador logo printed on it. A newly published patent application assigned to Microsoft provides a unique insight into what the Zune Phone interface might look like. The chances of a Zune Scene editor running into a Microsoft Zune employee in the wild are pretty slim, but recently the stars were aligned and I got the inside scoop on the Zune 2.0 and also the flash based Zune coming out in 2007. I will attempt to preserve the identity of the Microsoft employee, he had no idea I write for Zune Scene, no idea at all. Jason Reindorp, the Zune ’s marketing director, confirms that there will also be another new color of Microsoft’s music player hitting shelves. Looking at images from ZuneScene it’ll be Orange .Not content with Black, White and Brown (you’ve got to admit this is a bit different), Microsoft have decided to add a tangerine looking version to the line-up. Microsoft have also stated that their will be a big advertising push for the Zune, with sums not quite up there for a launch.
