Movie Review: Disturbia (2007)

Kale rides in a car with his father, when it is suddenly run off the road, then hit by a truck, killing his father but not him. Kale becomes rebellious and after punching a teacher out, he is put under house arrest and monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet. Being unable to leave his own property, he is forced to create a new hobby - being a voyeur of his neighborhood. He takes special interest in an older male neighbor who does suspicious activities. Kale is accompanied by two friends who become his eyes and ears on the outside as they investigate the possible serial killer.

Like most young women, she was saddened by the lack of practical, yet fashionable "medical accessories." Anyone who has to deal with a chronic illness knows how much the little things in life can lift your spirits. This website features items to make your life easier, as well as put a smile on your face. The website itself is fun to peruse, with bold and colorful backgrounds and a sassy and chic look. If you are like me, you hate buying butter, it's hard to deal with , it's hard to cut, hard to spread, you need to keep it in the fridge or it goes rancid. I never buy it. If you have problems with your hand weakness, butter is definitely a no go, your have to have a real good grip on that knife. (unless the butter is hot) Either way, for many people butter is a pain. We have found a solution!

On a scale of one to ten of snoring potential, my husband is probably around a five. He comes from a family of snorers who rate around nines and tens, so I?ve always been grateful that he wasn?t worse. But when you are ill, in pain, and having sleep issues, snoring around a level of five feels pretty significant. Over the years, we?ve tried many different approaches to helping him bring the snoring level down. Allergy medicines, chiropractic adjustments, weight loss, exercise, different sleeping positions, different types of pillows, keeping the room cool/warm, open windows, air cleaners. The only approach that has had a semi-decent positive result is me poking him to roll over. And ear plugs. Don?t forget the ear plugs. I couldn?t have managed to keep sharing a bed with him if it hadn?t been for a constant supply of foam ear plugs.

Thoughts on Aging

The first thing out of my mouth most mornings is usually some sort of multi- syllabic utterance such as marghblamhaba which can be loosely translated into many phrases such as, Oy vay!, Mon Dieu!, Dear Lord!, or What???, depending on your cultural and religious preferences. My thoughts quickly go to the things I have planned for the upcoming day, but first I take a mental inventory of my body and how I'm feeling that day. Joints: check, energy: check, lucidity: check. I then stumble out of bed, tripping over the jeans and physics books I left on the floor the previous night, and go about beginning my day.

This is a wonderful book to add to your yoga library. It is well put together with expressive photographs and explanations that create a clear understanding. This is a great book for a beginner, but it also offers solid information for someone who has been practicing for a while. What I appreciate about this book is that most of it is comprised of floor postures. If I?m really tired, I can simply move from page to page without even once being asked to stand up. There is a good balance between a variety of ways you can bend or twist or pose your body in order to feel looser in limb and joint, fresher in muscle, and more relaxed, as well as centered and peaceful.

Book Review: ?Lemon Meringue Pie Murder?

I adore reading, always have, but these days I find I?m limited on what I can read. The brain fog means I can?t handle anything too complex or long and my fragile mental health means I shouldn't read anything that could upset me. My muscle weakness means hard-backs are impossible and since it?s part of my relaxation time, I need my ?fun? books to be just that. I love murder mysteries and have read everything by my favorite authors, so I?m always looking for new authors to check out at the library. Joanna Fluke?s novel caught my eye because of the lurid yellow cover, with a sketch of a slice of Lemon Meringue Pie, complete with skull and crossbones, on the front! Then I saw the title and was intrigued by the note ?Recipes Included?. This looked like fun and the book didn?t disappoint.

I often find myself with feelings like frustration,boredom, loneliness, sadness, etc. For me, these emotions become their strongest at night, when I usually cannot sleep or go out. My biggest coping skills- going out for a walk or talking with a friend, are not options in the middle of the night. So, how can you alleviate these feelings when you are in your house by yourself? Dancing is one good way.

Book Review: The Secret Life of Bees

There is a special kind of writing style that speaks to a woman?s spirit and makes her soul rejoice. It can be difficult to find such a book, but when found it is a real treasure. In the novel, ?The Secret Life of Bees,? by Sue Monk Kidd, I found myself laughing and crying along with the characters. I felt deeply connected to the women in the novel and was sad to see my new friends go when the story came to an end. Sue Monk Kidd truly breathed life into this book, in a way that takes tremendous talent. I find myself longing for a sequel, just so I can see what my beloved characters are up to now! If you are a woman, you are almost guaranteed to love this book! The writing style is distinctly feminine and beautiful. I thought to myself, ?It is about time I read something from a powerful female perspective.? For me, reading this book came as naturally as breathing.
