Homeopathy For Weight Loss Success
2007-08-31 20:25:00 The Truth About Homeopathy is that it definitely works, even if the internet is full of falsified information about it - it is the highest form of medicine, nothing can make you feel better, and those who are in good homeopathic hands say it is nothing short of miraculous… that is The Truth About Homeopathy......I bet you didn’t know that Homeopathy is the only medicine used by the British Royal family....I bet you didn’t know that Homeopathy is the only medicine that reverses genetic decline....I bet you didn’t know even simple homeopathy has had amazing results during epidemics....I bet you didn’t know that every generation experiences genetic decline in North America.Truth is that in most of the cases above it was Ultrahomeopathy that was used, not homeopathy.I had been following a vegetarian diet for 12 years and became Vegan for 2 years. Remind Yourself To Appreciate Everything
2007-08-31 01:35:00 by JessieI have fallen in love with the world all over again, probably because I have learned that each person is responsible for the creation of their own atmosphere.I live in my own little world lately, but I am careful when deciding who I should allow to enter. I surround myself with the beauty of other humans who have hearts so big and minds so overwhelmingly creative. Sorry, I’ve left the toxic behind, come find me when you find yourself.I am learning how to appreciate everything…there once was a time when Pina-Colada slurpee’s and a freshly rolled cigarette made my entire day. Each vibe you give-out is just as important as the ones that are taken-in from others.Have you ever noticed how a simple smile, a random compliment, or friendly “hello” from a complete stranger can take a day from being pretty shitty to one of the best days ever? I’ve noticed because I have chosen to open my eyes.I want to run-away as often as possible, I want to read every book that exists, ... More About: Remi , Reci
Powerful Women From History
2007-08-30 20:47:00 One of the new writers for my blog is Kandace. Kandace has started a new series on the Strength of Ancient Women starting with a post she just did in regards to Spartan women, then telling the story of an African Queen or Warrior (we're not sure yet), then more powerful women from history including Egypt, Greece and Atlantis to name a few. She and I were both attracted to the movie 300 that come out earlier this spring. She was especially attracted to the strength of the Spartan women and began to do some research on them, what they had to go through, how they trained and began to find some fascinating information about it.Well, she's now writing about the Women of Sparta on my blog.I asked Kandace to continue the series with more powerful women from history so that we could explore the strength of ancient women.Kandace actually channels the women from history who want to have their stories told, to inspire women from today to tap into their inner strength.I'm told that there a... Almond Growers Want Delay Before They Have To Kill Their Almonds
2007-08-30 19:22:00 Almond growers of California ABC are asking for a delay in their requirement to kill and add the necessary highly toxic flammable compounds to the almonds you'll be eating as required by the United States Government. They're being forced to pasteurize their almonds and if you don't act by the August 31st, 2007, your raw organic or natural almonds will be a thing of the past.Remember the salmonella outbreak in 2004 which affected a few people? Well, the USDA have decided that spending a few dollars on educating people (running a few TV advertising spots) on how to wash their fruits, vegetables and almonds would not be as efficient as killing all the nutrition and sterilizing the Almonds .From the San Fransisco Gate:In January, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that virtually all almonds would have to be pasteurized as of September 1. This new rule was a result of Salmonella outbreaks in 2001 and 2004 that were traced back to raw almonds. The California Almond Board is n... More About: Almond , Kill , Grow

Say Goodbye To Raw And Organic Almonds
2007-08-27 04:54:00 USDA has quietly approved a new regulation that will effectively end distribution of raw almonds. The regulation is scheduled to go into effect in just a few short days on September 1st, unless thousands of consumers take action now. Take Action NOW!!! USDA SAYS ALMONDS LABELED AS 'RAW' OR 'ORGANIC' MUST BE PASTEURIZED Under pressure from industrial agriculture lobbyists, the USDA has quietly approved a new regulation that will effectively end distribution of raw almonds, while putting many smaller almond farmers out of business. The regulation is scheduled to go into effect on September 1st, unless thousands of consumers take action now. The rule requires pasteurization of almonds, including organic, yet allows those same almonds to continue to be labeled as "raw". Nutritionists point out that raw, organic almonds are far superior, in terms of nutrition, to pasteurized almonds. One of the FDA-recommended pasteurization methods involves the use of propylene oxide, which is cla... More About: Organic , Goodbye , Almonds , Organ

Bottled Water Is Tap Water

Pepsi is about to disclose the true source of their water supplier... the tap. from Sun Sentinel July 2007PepsiCo Inc. has agreed to add the words “public water source” to their Aquafina water labels.Pepsi’s Aquafina, and Coca-Cola Co.’s Dasani bottled waters, are both made of purified water from public reservoirs. Coca-Cola will post online consumer information about the quality control testing that goes into their bottled water, sometime near the end of summer, or early fall 2007.Critics against the bottled water industry point out that they add plastic to landfills, use enormous amounts of energy and gas by producing and shipping bottles across the globe, and undermine public confidence in the safety of public water supplies. Some cities have already taken proactive steps in trying to curb bottled water consumption. Quick tip : Determining the cooking time of a fish
2007-08-16 05:54:00 by Scott BirdAs you may have noticed, I love seafood. If you're just venturing in to this world, however, you may be wondering just how long to cook your latest purchase. Fortunately it's not as difficult as you might think. You can get a rough idea simply by looking at how thick the fish is (at the thickest point). For roasting or grilling, count on approximately 10 minutes per inch. Moderately hot oven, perhaps 375F (190C). Adjust this according to taste.Another estimate which may be used is 15 minutes per pound. Once again, this is only a guideline - adjust according to taste. To test whether this is donePoke a toothpick into the thickest part of the fish. If the skin is no longer translucent and the flesh flakes easily, it's done. Also - if it's a whole fish - the eyes will have turned white.Beautiful. More About: Cooking , Fish , Time , Quick , Term

Navy Seals Perfect Pushup
2007-08-14 17:29:00 I've seen these almost 3 times now in 2 days, so I've realized that it's something that I need to have a more in depth look at. During a recent trip to Las Vegas, I saw a magazine/ ad showing this Navy Seal Perfect Push up device, then saw it again on a television in a Casino. I'm not going to wait for the 3rd time, I'm going to act and get a pair. It's the traditional two handle pushup stand but with a functional twist, literally. The military realized that 73% of Navy Seals were on disability after 20 years of service so they spent an entire year researching why and found that it was the traditional weight training exercises that did the damage. They switched to functional training and the Perfect Pushup was invented.Navy SEALs and Push upsSEALs strengthen their bodies using several exercise routines, but none is more prevalent than pushups. Even before a SEAL candidate arrives at Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training, they must pass a physical exam that includ...
Review : Total Gym 1000
2007-08-13 03:45:00 by Scott BirdI love this thing. If you’ve somehow managed to avoid the Total Gym infomercials featuring the well-known faces of Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley, the photo at right should give you an idea of the basic arrangement. It’s essentially an inclined bench (with a sliding pad), and a cable at each side to lift/lower the user along the bench. A very simple setup. The company was founded in 1974 by Tom Campanaro, Larry Westfall, and Dale Mc Murray - with the product changing little since then. As the height of the incline was soon changeable (with 6 heights available on the 1000 model I’m currently using), adjusting the resistance of various bodyweight exercises became a simple matter and the Total Gym products were taken up largely for rehab use. In that respect they’re still ideal. In the mid-90s the Total Gym was brought to a home-user market, with an advertising campaign featuring the Norris/Brinkley combination in 1996 and a website (totalgym.com) the same year. What to look for when buying fish
2007-08-12 05:24:00 by Scott BirdSeveral years ago one of the major newspapers here listed a half-dozen Australian restaurants in the 'you have to try this sometime' category. Most of them were big names, in prime locations and were accompanied by unsurprisingly expensive menus. One of them, however, was a tiny fish 'n' chip shop.Since we first ventured over there to check it out, we've been regular customers. Why? They clearly know how to buy fish. It's always excellent. If you're not lucky enough to have a place like this nearby, you can still reap the rewards of great seafood by keeping your eyes open. Whether you shop at a fishmonger or a supermarket, there are a few things that will help ensure you end up with a beautiful meal.Unpackaged fish, as at a fishmonger or supermarket fish counterNo 'fishy smell'All fish have a smell, but it only becomes 'fishy' once the fish is in decline. When it's fresh, it won't have a strong odour at all. If it has that 'fishy' smell, don't buy it.NB : ... More About: Buying , Fish

The Dos and Donts for Effective Fat Loss
2007-08-09 19:21:00 by Paul BeckerThis seems to be the question on everyone's mind, and for good reason, fat is so easy to acquire and so hard to get rid of. Most bodies love to store fat, it's good security for when you run out of food. This is unlikely, but your body doesn't know that.Unfortunately, the body loves storing fat so much that it will burn anything else available (muscle tissue, stored carbohydrate, etc.) before digging into the fat reserves. Unless you trick it.The first thing your body will burn is stored carbohydrates in the form of glycogen. The next is muscle tissue, only then does it grudgingly dip into the fat stores. This is why most diets don't work, especially "starvation" diets. When you suddenly cut off the food supply, a survival mechanism kicks in causing the body to store every little bit of fat that it can! This results in weight loss, but not much fat loss, and as soon as you DO eat something, it immediately gets stored as fat to replace any that was used. This i... More About: Loss , Effective , The D
Just like an Olympic athlete
2007-08-09 01:27:00 I love coming across stuff like this.If you have diabetes, or know someone who does, you may have heard the term PAD - Peripheral Artery Disease. This blocks the blood supply to major arteries; often affecting the legs and feet. This can cause anything from ulcers to gangrene (leading to amputation). Nasty stuff.A new procedure may help change all that.Developed at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital, the process essentially works by isolating the effected limb and rapidly pumping blood to it. This tricks the body into growing new blood vessels.According to Dr Rodney Lane - the man behind the new procedure :The arteries are performing at the level of an Olympic athlete, running at pace, when the patient is lying in bed.Beautiful. Tips On Losing Fat Without Really Trying
2007-08-09 00:28:00 by Aja PerkinsHealthy eating is very important. Here are some tips on losing weight without really trying. Fill up on fiber. Choose whole grains, fruits and vegetables, high fiber cereals, dries beans, lentils, or other legumes. Your goal is 25 to 30 grams daily. Food hihg in fiber make you feel full without lots of calories. Drink a glass of water before each meal and you'll get a feelingof fullness. By sipping water throughout the day, you'll know when you're really hungry. Drink at least eight 8oz. glasses of water daily. I drink 1-1 1/2 gallons daily. Eat more fish. Fish and poultry have less calories then beef, lamb and pork. Veal has the lowest calories of the meats, but it is higher in cholesterol than beef or lamb. Limit your salt intake. Instead spice up your diet with pepper, lemons, basil and oregano (or Mrs.. Dash) and you'll never miss salt. Your blood pressure will improve and you'll lose fat faster! Gorillas Eat Vegetables Shouldn't You?
2007-08-07 11:30:00 Gorilla's eat mostly vegetables and fruit and are one of the most powerful animals on the planet. The fact that they're vegetarian and of such immense size and strenght blows me away. There is still a lot of debate about whether humans should model Gorilla's and eat a plant based diet. The fact is that gorillas have a completely different digestive system than we do and that they can tolerate much more fruit because of their superior intestinal flora. However, what we can learn from them is that they are a massive animal and they eat pretty much ONLY vegetables and fruit. There's power in that. I've said for a long time on this blog and in my writing the importance of having vegetables with each meal. Most recently a post about eating a salad with breakfast. Vegetables provide nutrients (albeit very few these days due to poor farming practices), much needed fiber and bulk and help us to eat smaller meals with less calories but yet feel full. This leads to a healthier col... More About: Gorillas
