It worked as long as I carried it. I don't know why I stopped carrying it, or why I started smoking again. I opened my window to keep the fresh air blowing in where I was sitting. It was quite a temptation but I hung in there. Some things we can control, some things we can't. I noticed when I went walking in to Walmart how smokey it smelled in the front area. read more

I have started getting energy back, I smell better and I find that I can smell a smoker 20 ft. away. lol My smell is back. I'm not going to lie and say that it's been a piece of cake cause it hasn't. Alot of the adults in my family smoked, so I was around it alot during my childhood, and it was a normal thing for us. Nobody really knew how bad it was back then. 2008-02-23 21:26:00 Wow - time has flown this week (most of the time). Still not smoking, but still also nauseous for an hour or so after I take the pills. Wednesday night, I had a business drink/dinner thing to go to. Well, we met at a bar for drinks/appetizers. Let me just say, this was a really hard test for only Quit Day 3. read more
Building back up

My fourth day on Chantix-
2008-02-20 23:54:00 Hello Everyone, I am on day four .5mg. I set my quit date as 2/24/08. As of right now I feel the need to smoke more and I am. Feels like I am smoking an ultra light. It's sort of weird. When I first take Chantix, I feel the effects and understand how it is going to work. I am hoping that this is normal and that it will go away. Has this happened to anyone else?

2008-02-19 02:49:00 As of tomorrow morning I will be smoke-free for 3 weeks. I still can't believe I'm doing it. I'm feeling really good at this point. I'm starting to have a little bit more energy than I used to. I accomplish a lot more because I'm not stopping to have a cigarette every 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. I'm down to 1-1/2 Chantix a day. 2008-02-15 17:25:00 I'm on my last pack of cigarettes and I left them in the truck today and didn't bring them into work. I've missed my 10AM break without a problem. Been on Chantix 7 1/2 days now. I haven't noticed not feeling the urge to smoke but I haven't been smoking as much (only know that cause I haven't bought as many). When I had that one oops, the cigarette tasted so bad that now I keep remembering what that tasted like if I do have an urge and that I have come so far and why blow it now.
