My father passed away this week and I have been home with my family. I was determined not to use that as an excuse and I didn't. Everyone stay strong! You can do this! Denise

I am happy and feel good. No nausea or anything. I thank everyone for their comments and support. It helps a lot. Take care everyone.

2008-02-06 04:49:00 I have been smokeless for a full week. It would have been 11 days if I hadn't oopsed last Monday. Tomorrow morning will be 8 days. It feels great. I'm feeling pretty good. My stomach hasn't been upset and I'm just going about business as usual. I'll pop a stick of Extra gum in my mouth once in a while. My taste buds are coming back and so is the sense of smell. read more

2008-02-05 08:55:00 I caved in. I know, I know. Last friday, I drank with friends, and with the superbowl in my HOME TOWN!! omg. I fell off the cliff. I felt so sick. Just FYI, YOU MUST TAKE YOUR CHANTIX EVERYDAY!!! I didn't, and look what happened. When you get off of it, you don't notice the effect at first, give it 2 days and WHAM it's back. Keep strong guys, I'll be back on the boat soon. read more

But I don't feel the urgency that I did at all before. One pack of cigs has lasted me almost 3 days now. That NEVER happened before. Why am I smoking more?
2008-02-04 14:55:00 I started Chantix last Wednesday night. So far I have not cut down and even think I am smoking more. I feel like I have become a serious slave to this addiction. I have been struggling with this issue since a little before new years eve. In desperation I spoke to my doctor about Chantix and got the prescription. 5 Months Smoke Free

How is Everyone Doing?
2008-02-02 00:21:00 My week has been good. Rough start Monday but went uphill after that. I am still smoke-free after that oops on Monday. I feel pretty good. I figure I have been smoke-free 8 out of 9 days. That is great for me. Even though I fell off the wagon, it wasn't like I smoked a whole pack of cigarettes. I had one and a half. My stomach has been pretty good too. I feel more confident every day. read more
The nausea effect

2008-01-27 01:24:00 Well, I'm still smoke-free and have about finished day 3. It has been a pretty good day. I got some sleep last night. That helps a lot too. My appetite started to pick up but find that a piece of Extra gum helps. I still can't believe I'm not smoking. Will someone please pinch me. Take care everyone and hope you are all doing well.

2008-01-26 01:16:00 I have been smoke-free since Wednesday night at 11:00 PM. I have had 2 pretty good days so far. Haven't really had any bad problems with the Chantix. I take it with food and that helps a lot. It was not really planned. I went into the bathroom Thursday morning to take my Chantix and turned around and walked back out without my morning cigarette.
