Been 4 months yesterday.  Even better - I've been not smoking more than 6 months out of the last 12 months, more than half of the past year. That's all good news.  I wish cigarettes never tempted me again, though, as there are moments when I think of smoking.  read more

Chantix Side Effects + Foods To Help You Quit Smoking
2007-10-22 10:28:00
I was reading this piece of writing, and I was just curious, you hear people complain about the drug, but they rarely say anything about their current status in regards to smoking. Neither do we hear all of the circumstantial details that could explain why things went wrong - especially consider how hard it is in this particular case with quitting smoking to identify what really caused the problem, the drug or the absence of nicotine in your system after prolonged use. read more

Your Help Needed
2007-10-16 21:57:00
I want to make a short video with quitting smoking on Chantix theme. :) So guys, please help me with ideas for the video. It has to be something easy to film and some kind of a twist/plot that would make people want to watch it to the end and hopefully learn something, too. read more
Spree
2007-10-06 22:26:00
Tracee seems to be on a link harvesting spree, among other things. Check out her new blog Quit Coping, that just popped up next to her main blog Blogfabulous. Always good to see more web resources! I am very, very happy at OnChantix.com, though, and with my good friends who took their precious time and went an extra mile to document their quits on Chantix very well and put together great, great blogs with tons of information! :) Maggie, of course, being in the Spotlight (yes, capitalized). read more

Quitter's Evolution
2007-10-05 09:20:00
You know, I'll be brutally honest with whoever may be reading this. I'm at almost 3.5 months of not being a smoker. At first, it felt like I was thinking of smoking less and less. In fact, it still feels like that sometimes. read more

2007-09-25 22:09:00
I saw some reports that last night someone saw a first Chan tix commercial on TV.  It was a pack of cigarettes standing up along with a turtle and rabbit.  Anyone seen it?  I wish someone put it on YouTube!!

Crazy Chantix Dreams?
2007-09-20 11:10:00
Darla posted a request for Chan tix dreams on the forum. I guess the crazier and funnier, the better. Has anyone shared the dreams with her? I know that some users like Tasina were talking about some really vivid dreams. So I thought it may be absolutely amazing to hear about some of the dreams. read more

Something Big Is About To Happen September 24th!
2007-09-18 02:33:00
Do you feel the Earth vibrating? It's Pfizer's anti-smoking drug coming. Wooo, nobody say the word "Chantix"! Emmy Awards was big enough to kick off this campaign for Chantix. Followthefable website is advertising Chantix, well, not Chantix yet but the concept of an anti-smoking drug. Chantix - the brand itself - will come next. Some thing big is supposed to happen on September 24th. Someone's blog got a spotlight on that same blog I linked to just a little above: read more

Smokefree In Public
2007-09-13 19:22:00
Last weekend I went to the LA Zoo! OMG! There was an eerie moment when I panicked like I would when I was still a smoker - how will I survive without smoking in this nonsmoking hell? For those who don't know, most parks and other public grounds are now smokefree in California. So a trip to the Zoo before was going to be a chain of neurotic episodes for me, thoroughly deprived of nicotine somewhere half way through. read more

Sick As A Dog And Smoking
2007-09-05 06:44:00
While the vast majority of folks was blissfully catching the departing (and not so departing for some - check news for California heat wave, it's just fueling up) summer glory, I spent the whole weekend completely incapacitated. Went to ER. My head was so incredibly foggy, I could barely keep my eyes from crisscrossing, let alone philosophical ponderings, but something stroke me so hard and clearly that I just want to shout. read more

A Long Blank
2007-08-29 09:27:00
It is lovely when people post daily, but sometimes you just draw a mental blank. Well, not quite a complete blank, but you just don't feel like sharing because there's not that much going on in your life, or you simply are not in the mood. I can safely announce that I have had a rather long blank lasting an entire week. read more

Smoking In The Movies
2007-08-19 10:40:00
Your kids watch a lot of TV? They may be 6 times more likely to start smoking (reaching out to all those moms on Chantix)! I watched a movie tonight with a girl friend. Really good quality English movie. Out of 2 hours of it, there was an 8 second (that short!!) moment when one of the main characters lit up a cigarette. That was enough to seed a thought in my mind about smoking for the rest of the evening, even though I didn't think of smoking today almost at all! It wasn't just the fact that she lit up on screen... read more

Chantix and Mental Illness/Disorder
2007-08-16 00:31:00
This psychologist is talking about lack of Chan tix trials with more inclusive groups.  Thus, there's only some evidence linking mental disorders with use of Chant ix.  There's some, however, and the author links to them. read more

How I Became A Smoker In No Time
2007-08-14 20:40:00
I found out how and why I got hooked to cigarettes. I had no peer pressure. I just experimented. At 16, I bought one or two cigarettes out of curiosity (back where I am from cigarettes are sold by one, too, which is horrible). This article explains why I was a smoker in no time. read more

Better Than Chantix? + I Have A Tumor?
2007-08-13 06:43:00
Or not? This woman asked to be locked up in jail to quit smoking. The county jail, of course, said they wouldn't take her. She was offered Chan tix, but it really is not clear if she tried it or why she didn't try it. read more

Chantix Stored In Your Body Fat For A Year?
2007-08-11 10:52:00
I do not know how credible this source is, and you're all welcome to research, but I think I remember reading this somewhere else, too. One of the posts here (about 3/4 down the page) mentions that Chan tix is stored in your body fat for a while, then releases as you metabolize your fat. read more

Took One Chantix Pill
2007-08-11 09:50:00
I've been kind of struggling tonight (and a little last night), thinking of lighting up.  It was the usual craving-something-not-sure-what-exactly feeling but now a part of it was thinking of having a smoke.  Nothing major and nothing I couldn't contain with reasonable effort, but definitely enough to make me worry. read more

Starting Chantix
2007-08-10 19:11:00
