Website Review: Abel&Cole: A Review of an Organic Food Delivery Service in
2008-05-27 23:30:00
It is Healthy Eating month at ButYouDontLookSick.com! In order to eat healthily, you need to have healthy food ready in the house in my opinion ? when you?re low on Spoons and needing food, if it?s a choice between going to the grocery store to buy some ingredients for a proper meal or grabbing a ready meal or pizza out of the freezer, then in our house, it would always be freezer food. Getting organic vegetables delivered is one way to make sure you have healthier food available all the time. There are a number of options for getting organic vegetables delivered in the UK, but we use Abel & Cole and have been extremely pleased with the company and their service. Click to read more ...

Let's Get Clean and Healthy: Herbal Housekeeping
2008-05-23 22:03:00
Amidst the cacophony of people who wanted an article on Herbal Housekeeping , here is your reward! After some research I have found that it is making quite a comeback. New research indicates not only presumed health hazards with the range of ?normal? toxic chemicals we use on a daily basis, but also links to ADD, hyperactivity and a full slew of diseases we are now seeing reported more and more. I will leave the numbers and validity arguments up to the experts and say only that it is a good idea, especially if you already suffer from a disease that can or may have affected your chemical sensitivities. No one need tell you the benefits of prevention! (AND, with no real harmful side effects, you can start enlisting those kids and put them to work!) Click to read more ...

Healthy Snack Review: Delicious and Unique ?Peeled Snacks? dried fruit snac
2008-05-23 21:40:00
I am now a dried fruit junkie and snacks like these from Peeled Fruit s do not help my addiction! This is a relatively young company and their enthusiasm shows! First of all, I loved the bold, funky packaging. Dried fruit usually seems so boring and well, lifeless. Dried fruit is a natural source of fiber, so I wanted to find new ways to add them to my diet. The bags from peeled snacks seem to jump right out at me and look appetizing before I even opened the bag. The pieces of fruit are certainly a mouth full- you do not feel like you are getting cheated. The portions are good, but the size of the actual fruit pieces are what makes it even better. Healthy Snack Review: Funky Monkey Snacks
2008-05-23 05:40:00
It is Healthy Eating Month at ButYouDontLookSick.com! I think I can officially be called the Snack Queen now. For the past month I have searched high and low for good, healthy, satisfying snacks. I find that most of my calories or "bad eating habits" come from the snacking I did, not necessarily from meals. So I thought if I surround myself with healthy options, then I will make better choices. Funky Monkey Snacks are all-natural, freeze-dried, fruit pieces accented with additional natural flavors including; cinnamon, acai and lime. I sampled the Bananamon (banana/cinnamon) and Purple Funk (banana/acai). I didn't even know what acai was, but it tasted good! Click to read more ...

It is Healthy Eating month at ButYouDontLookSick.com! Remember those fruit roll-ups we used to eat when we were kids? I begged my mother for them as a snack after school. Heathy Eating Month: Canned Foods: Healthy?!
2008-05-19 20:09:00
Sometimes there are times in life that we?re too busy, too sick, too tired, or too over-worked to stop at the grocery and get fresh food. What happens when we?re stuck in the house with no fresh food to eat? Worse: what happens when you have to feed others with the bare minimum of food in the house? Though canned food sometimes gets a bad reputation for being packed in sugars, salts, and a can, canned food can be very convenient to have on hand for those stretches of time you know you won?t be able to make it to the market. But, what canned food is the best to eat? What?s the healthiest? What can you make and serve with canned food? Here I?ll show some quick and easy ways to perk up your culinary life using simple canned foods that are cheap, easy to store, and last a long time; further, these recipes are healthy and can be altered to your diet and taste. Product Review: Medical Alert Jewelry from StickyJ.com
2008-04-21 19:08:00
I love all jewelry, from bracelets, to earrings, necklaces and more. It is fun to express myself with colorful style and add a little something extra to any outfit. Unfortunately, most medical alert jewelry is not fun or fashionable. Usually it is something that I have to talk myself into wearing. I recently found stickyj.com and saw their wide selection of medical bracelets, medical id charms, medical necklaces, medical id watches, kids medical id bracelets and medical pendants, which all come in a wide variety of styles and metal types. I was amazed at the variety of medical alert fashion jewelry items that were both cute and functional. Click to read more ...

Book Review- Diseases and Disorders- Lupus
2008-04-09 06:41:00
I work part time in a public library and recently a new book came across my desk that I was thrilled to see. It is a children's book on Lupus geared for ages 10 and up. The book is user friendly, easy to read, but far from simplistic and broken down into five chapters. The chapters are delve into 5 basic questions- What is Lupus?, What causes Lupus?, How is Lupus Treated?, How to Live with Lupus? and What is the Future for Lupus? There are also photographs, drawings and charts, which simplify this sometimes confusing and overwhelming subject. Click to read more ...

This book's author was featured on PBS's television program "The Brain Fitness Program." This book mixes scientific research with anecdotal stories. Movies: Bollywood for Beginners
2008-03-12 21:36:00
I am sure when you read the title of this article you thought, ?Bollywood ?? What is that, a typo? Or I am in brain fog? But do not worry, you read correctly. The Indian (aka Hindi) Film Industry is more commonly known as ?Bollywood.? Many of the big film production companies are based in Mumbai, India, formerly known as Bombay, and the ?B? was borrowed along with an homage to Hollywood, and we have Bollywood! It is the largest film industry in the world, producing over 800 films a year, with ticket sales in the billions. Bollywood productions are mostly romantic musicals, much like the old Hollywood classics, with absolutely beautiful costumes, photography and scenery. They have great stories, excellent performances, and the music and dance sequences are so wonderful to watch, but I am getting ahead of myself. I am totally in love with these films, as well as the music, so I thought I would give you an introduction into this wonderful world. Click to read more ...

Movie Review: Becoming Jane
2008-03-07 20:00:00
Before I start the review for Becoming Jane , let me just say that I adore Anne Hathaway in that all encompassing sort of adoration; I want to be her, date her, be her best friend, stylist, and work with her. However much I love her though, I got to be honest here. Becoming Jane was a good movie, and just that. Becoming Jane was a 2007 movie based on the life of the strong-minded writer Jane Austen. 2008-02-20 01:17:00
Author: Mari Florence This was the first book I ever read on fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with it in November of 2004, then later with lupus SLE in 2005. I had never heard of fibromyalgia before and when my rhuematologist told me it was causing all my symptoms, I didn't know what to think. I googled a search for some helpful books and came across this one- First Year Fibromyalgia. Click to read more ...
