Bradenton Florida Health Insurance * What is the Cure?
2008-05-09 18:28:00 Bradenton, Florida Why is everyone always talking about Health care? Should our wonderful government take over and run the healthcare system in the United State? Should we go the national healthcare route, or let managed care companies keep their record profits? These are just a few of the topics and questions being discussed in all facets of our society. Viewpoints come from local, state and federal government, lawyers, insurance companies, and even doctor and other medical groups.Moran Insurance reports that Senator and Republican presidential candidate John McCain prefers the open-market approach, which means less government involvement in health care. Senators and Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are promoting national health care run by the government. These are clearly two different sides, two different approaches. Either way, we still pay for it.Read More Here More About: Health Insurance , The Cure

Tampa Florida Health Insurance News
2008-03-15 04:08:00 The Govenor of Florida Charlie Crist announced last month for improving health care in the Sunshine state. He as given the idea to Floridians that he could offer health insurance to the estimated 3.8 million Floridians who lack health insurance an affordable plan for "$150 a month or less."Crist's "Cover Florida" proposal would not come with a state mandate that individuals had to buy it or employers had to offer it. And it would give insurance companies lots of leeway in deciding how to structure such a health plan -- as long they included "a robust package of preventive, primary and urgent-care benefits, including hospitalization." Florida Health Insurance Update On Gov. Crist His HealthCare Plan
2008-02-20 01:42:00 Tallahasse, Florida Insurance Update — Most of the uninsured of Florida would be guaranteed a chance to buy health insurance with Crists new healthcare plan and companies could offer plans that might be cheaper because they wouldn't cover all ailment. The plan proposed Tuesday by Gov. Charlie Crist. wouldn't require that employers offer health insurance, or that people have the coverage, unlike a universal health care plan that Massachusetts created or a plan being pushed by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.Instead, it would say that insurance companies could create certain types of plans without typical coverage. For example, it might not offer coverage for maternity care _ which wouldn't be needed by a family that doesn't plan to have children. That could make the policy cheaper. The plans would have to guarantee coverage to anyone aged 19 to 64 who can pay for it.Get more information on Florida Health Insurance here. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama Heat Up In South Carolina * What will happ
2008-01-23 03:33:00 Tampa, Florida January 22, 2008In a sign of just how tense and close the race for the Democratic presidential nomination has become, Illinois Senator Barack Obama , who has made a point of saying he wishes to avoid the politics of personal attacks, went on the offensive on Monday during a sniping Democratic debate in South Carolina. Coming into super tuesday it still seems healthcare is going to be the hot topic. In last nights Democratic debate John Edwards And Hillary Clinton teamed up against Barack Obama stating that his plan for healthcare is not Universal. Hillary Clinton claimed that Barack Obama keeps changing his mind, from a single payor system, to a semi Universal healthcare system. Obama seems to correct Clinton in most instances, as Hillary seems to be a bit off base with her claims. Obama believes that everyone should have access to affordable healthcare, but you shouldn't mandate it, forcing people to buy coverage if they do not want it. The race for 2008 continu... 2008-01-11 14:07:00 Miami, Florida January 11, 2008Explanation in how certain financial programs work with health insurance programs are very important to Floridians. Be sure you ask your insurance agent or broker what HRA or HSA's are. An informed consumer will make the better choice in choosing the correct individual or group health plan. Health Savings Account Plan DocumentsA Health Savings Account allows employee contributions, and HRAs can only be funded by employers. Core Documents is one of the nation's leading provider of HRA and HSA plan documents ($299).I think the answer is that the beneficiaries of high-cost medical care don't want it to change. When you look at who wins in this current environment of high costs, the list includes hospitals, medical insurance companies, malpractice insurance companies and HMOs, among others. These companies lobby hard in Tallahassee and our nation's capital to keep the status quo because their profit lines will suffer. Over time, I have seen one gro... 2007-12-28 16:41:00 December 28, 2007Is the Rudy Giuliani 's campaign floundering? Is he going to leave New Hampshire and head to Florida ?Rudy himself insisted he would spend part of his Christmas vacation here. Maybe even go skiing. And true to his word by Christmas he was back on the stump. At a house party we stumbled across one excited follower - John Deads, the New Hampshire state co-chair of Veterans for Rudy - who said Giuliani was his man because the former mayor of the city of New York would take the war to the Muslims and drive them back into their caves. Another supporter said Rudy was the man to shoot people in the head if need be.Almost as a supplement to his anti-terrorist message, Rudy often focuses on health care and immigration. He acknowledges health care as a major problem, but hopes the country can provide basic insurance for everyone without a national health insurance system. He looks to free enterprise competition for the solution, although holds out the possibility of government a... More About: Moran , Morgan , Organ

Dec. 11 (Miami, Florida) -- About 42.5 million Americans don't have health insurance, up from about 41 million in 1997, a U.S. government survey released yesterday showed. The group hardest hit was working-age adults, while fewer children lacked coverage.Of Americans without health benefits, 30.8 million were uninsured for more than a year, according to the survey conducted in the first half of this year by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About 53.2 million were uninsured at least part of the 12 months before the survey interview. The growing number of uninsured in the U.S. may bolster efforts by Democrats in Congress to expand government health-care programs, a key election issue in the lead up to polls next year.
