Weigh In Day #3
2008-01-18 16:37:00 I thought we could all use a bit of humor on this beautiful Friday. Oh and don’t forget to weigh in and share your news, good or bad. We want to know. Twas The Month After Christmas Twas the month after Christmas and all through the house Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse. The cookies I’d nibbled, the eggnog I’d taste. All the holiday parties had gone to my waist. When I got on the scales there arose such a number! When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber). I’d remember the marvelous meals I’d prepared; The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared, The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese And the way I’d never said, “No thank you, please.” As I dressed myself in my husband’s old shirt And prepared once again to do battle with dirt--- I said to myself, as I only can “You can’t spend a winter disguised as a man!” So--away with the last of the sour cream dip,... How I’m Losing Weight
2008-01-15 18:25:00 Everyone has their own individual ways to lose weight. For me, and actually for a lot of people out there, it’s Weight Watchers. Since we’re basically starting this blog all over again, I want to let people know about certain diet plans that may work for them. Some people are lucky and don’t need a plan - I give you a lot of credit for that too! For me, I’m a Weight Watchers girl through and through, and I think if some of you are just starting out you may find it helpful to check out Weight Watchers. I don’t have the will power or the dedication to watch what I eat without it. The fact is, as some people here are well aware, I enjoy eating out - A LOT! Since I lack dedication it was almost impossible to sacrifice my eating out for the sake of my eating healthy. Sure, I tried to order the broiled chicken with veggies when I went out to eat, but let’s face it, that isn’t much fun for me. ... More About: Losing Weight
National Body Challenge
2008-01-14 17:20:00 I was setting on my duff, glued to my TV and what pops up? An ad for the Discovery Channel’s National Body Challenge . I need to say that I am the biggest skeptic when it comes to televised weight loss anything. Other than the Biggest Loser, I tune it all out. Maybe it was the word “challenge” that peaked my interest, but I have done some digging about this program and this is what I have found. The Discovery Channel has teamed up with Bally Total Fitness to bring this challenge to the public. It is an absolutely FREE program that is available online and it’s entire purpose is to get the American public working on a healthier way of life. A Sad Day in OWW Land
2008-01-12 19:53:00 Today’s entry marks a sad day for us here at Our Wicked Weighs. After much thought, our very own beautiful and extremely wonderful Jasmine has decided to leave us. As many of you may know, she has been swamped at work since the holidays ended and trying to have a life and maintain not only one, but two blogs is causing her some major concerns and stress. Something that is a recipe for disaster on a bod and a writing ability. She is going to still be visiting and guest posting when we can get her drunk enough to forget that she has a life. (ok so we won’t get her drunk but we will bug her and bug her until she agrees) So we will not be completely without her. Thank goodness. Jasmine has always been the one person here who I feel, is walking on the same page as I am. We both have adopted some pretty extreme lifestyle changes for the sake of our health. We have developed quite a friendship through our emails and blog entries as a result. I have always been able to ... More About: Land
Weigh In Day #2 for 2008
2008-01-11 18:17:00 Ok ladies. It’s weigh in day. How many of you are dreading your trip to the scale this week? I know I was. I have not felt good since Christmas. Not sick..just bleh. Burnt out on the good food. Sick and tired of having to work so hard to reach my goals each week. I have hit a plateau. 180. AGAIN. No gain. No Loss. I knew it was coming. I knew that at some point, my 2 + pound per week drop would come to a screeching halt. What do we do when we hit this wall? Should we follow in this Queenie’s footsteps and say to hell with pushing ourselves. 180 isn’t so bad is it? Umm...No. The answer is NO ladies. Do not go where I have been. Instead, You resist temptation. You work harder and work through your wall. Here are some tips for you to get over whatever hump you may find along your way. 1. Replace all candy dishes with bowls of beautiful fruit and fresh veggies. Put these dishes out in plain site. When you get a craving that is driving you to woof down an entire b... Cleanlyness is next to insaneness
2008-01-10 16:00:00 Hi. My name is Jasmine and I’m a juiceaholic. In the last four days I’ve juiced and/or eaten almost $63 dollars worth of fruits and vegetables, I’ve pee’d approximately 417 times, and I’ve assembled, disassembled, cleaned and reassembled my new juicer nine motherfacking times. I’m doing another cleanse. And since I got me a shiny new juicer for Christmas, what better kind would there be than a juice cleanse? And I say “another” cleanse because I’ve done several of them over the last few years… I’m the queen of cleanse - a huge fan - a twice a year for life’er. Something about being squeeky clean on the insides just makes me feel… right - especially around new years… you know, out with the old - in with the new? It’s like a fresh start. I’ve never done a juice cleanse though so this is a first for me. I’ve also never done a complete...

2007-12-04 16:50:00 Yes, I really did it. I had a dream about eating at Hardee’s. Diet Plan overview - The Curb Your Cravings Pink Patch
2007-11-19 10:00:00 Ok, so I was going to post about Atkins today. Actually, I was going to post about it two weeks ago, but I keep avoiding it because I'm so against it. I'll get to it eventually but for now let's just say it's pretty much like The South Beach Diet . But probably worse - in that as far as I understand, you have to cut our your carbs (even the healthy ones) for longer on Atkins . So while I was surfing the net looking for Atkins info today I stumbled across something equally scary. The Curb your Cravings - Pink Patch . Yes, according to the site in all it’s pink prettiness YOU can look just like all the hot sexy chicks they’re splashing all over the place and all you have to do is wear this tiny pink patch and buy into their fast, fresh and free-spirited approach to weight loss. According to the site, - the main component of the Pink Patch is Fucus Vesiculosus - “a girl’s best friend”. A type of seaweed used as a holistic medicine for m... More About: Plan , Overview
