Sponsor Break ~ Storage Concierge
2007-02-19 18:48:00 Lately I've been looking around my house at all of the "stuff" that I have ~ thinking..where the heck am I going to put all of this stuff! My husband suggested storage (Stor age Concierge ~ Get a self storage quote for free ). I thought to myself ~ why even OWN the stuff if you're just going to hold it in storage? Why not just have 1 gigantic yard sale or sell it on ebay?Well, for us..a military family, storage may be useful. You live in all different sized homes and you don't want to constantly get rid of your things. That's when storage could be useful ~ you could use a Storage Concierge ~ Get a self storage quote for free .Also, if you travel a lot, storage would be very useful ~ Storage Concierge ~ Get a self storage quote for free is a Storage Concierge and they will give you a self storage quote for free. Weigh In and Chest Tip
2007-02-15 14:38:00 Lbs lost this week: 2 : ) Body fat loss ~ 0%I'm excited about my progress this week ~ I've been eating sensible portions of my regular foods...still eating choc & ice cream, but in moderation. I'm also being very conscious of every move I make. For instance, I was talking abt the park the other day...well, if your kids like the swings, try this:When you're pushing them on the swings, bring your elbows up to your shoulder height (keep shoulders down) and push using your chest muscles ~ follow through all the way until your arms are straight (without locking your elbows) and sqeeeeeeze your chest muscles. It's a GREAT way to get chest work in while you're playing with your kids!I'm reading a LOT about whole foods and herbals, so I'll be sharing what I learn soon~ check back! More About: Chest , Weigh
Get Up!
2007-02-13 04:31:00 There are so many times that i go to the park with my kids only to see the (usually) moms sitting on the bench reading or on their cell phones ~ Yuk! Next time you're at the park with your kids, don't sit ~ run around..play..laugh..be active WITH them! Not only is it a great bonding experience but it will melt off the pounds : ) More About: Get Up
New Approach
2007-02-09 19:05:00 Tip: Eat a little dark choc everyday ~ it contains anti-oxidants to fight free radicals, it makes you feel good and it's yummy!I've decided not to post my food journal from now on because I really don't think that it is that beneficial to my readers and I don't think that it's that essential for me getting into shape. My philosophy for health has not been about the foods that I eat, necessarily, but the portions of which I eat those foods.Be conscious about every bite that you put in your mouth and ask yourself "Is this going to help me get to my goal?" (whatever that may be) Just eat a large variety of foods in their proper portions ~ making the largest part of your intake: vegetables & fruits most, nuts seeds grains and legumes next, dairy to a lesser degree & sweets the least, get your body moving any way that you can and enjoy yourself as much as you can ~ Be honest with yourself and forgive yourself if you fall off of your path and get back on! 2007-02-03 16:51:00 My family has been sick, so I haven't been able to report lately ~ I've pretty much been living on green tea with honey & lemon, water and ice cream : ) I weighed myself this past Thursday and I lost 0 lbs.; however, I did my body fat measurement and I lost 2% body fat...SO I'm happy with my results so far!I'll start with my food log tomorrow ~ Monday the 5th. I'm going to start including some recipes for you to follow if you choose and I've also been reading a book about eating raw ~ so I'll be updating you about that and letting you know how it's going. Hopefully, my food choices and water intake will be slowly changing to achieve optimal health at a cellular level. My first change is that I'll be drinking quality bottled water every 1/2 hour to rehydrate and keep my body hydrated. I'll be consuming 50% of my body weight in oz of water. If you're not used to drinking water, take it slow by increasing your intake by 8 oz per day. But drink every 1/2 hour. That's a change... Got Me Thinking
2007-01-23 20:41:00 The other day I was watching Seinfeld ~ LOVE that show ~ anyway, it was the one where Elaine was dating a man who shaved his head. She saw his drivers license, which had a pic of him with hair and convinced him ~ after many years of shaving his head ~ to grow it back! Well, he starts to grow it back, but has these bald patches all over his head ~ he was balding and Elaine didn't want to date him anymore. I thought that it must be hard to lose your hair to that extreme..you just have no control ~ which is why clinics like http://www.fellermedical.com are popular I suppose.http://www.fellermedical.com uses surgery to restore natural hair in balding men. I'm sure they would do women as well ~ although balding women are less prevalent then men. When we start working on ourselves and trying to lose weight or dying our hair or buying new clothes or whatever, I guess men are also thinking about their hair. If I were a man, I would. I would hope that if I were a man, I would accept... More About: Think , King , Thinking
