08 February 5: Uplifting
2008-02-10 16:22:00 1. Appetite: Lee loved her Chilean salad so much, she ordered a second one. I was too busy working on all the other good food at Jumbo Empanadas.2. Harmony: I and two other swimmers respectfully shared a single pool lane. There was a mutual love of water between us; it was uplifting to swim alongside each other.3. Rescue: My colleagues and I love each other in good times and bad. This was one of those help-each-other-complete-the-dirtiest-of- tasks kind of times. More About: February , February 5

08 January 31: Oatmeal
2008-02-04 23:29:00 QUEENS, New York1. Yariv prepared the best-ever oatmeal breakfast.2. Local flat rate taxi to the airport - yay, Queens!3. Airport security didn't take away my lethal hairpin when it beeped - but he did tell me that I looked pretty with or without it. Just a regular Casanova!I love the traffic and the honking in Queens. It's got its own characteristic buzz. All of New York is an aural experience. Look up a track by Moby called ?Extreme Ways.? Listen carefully to the opening music - those tones sound just like sped-up versions of the New York subways pulling out of the stations. More About: January , Oatmeal

2008-02-04 23:29:00 QUEENS, New York 4am, from a fourth-floor apartment: a distant soundtrack directly below me. 2008-02-04 23:26:00 NEW YORK, New York1. At Bloomingdale's, I met a principled sales woman. A kindred spirit who lost a very big sale to me. I, on the other hand, was grateful for her honesty over what I suspected what a dubious product.3.
