Methodsofhealing.com is selling a new diet pill product called Dietrine® Carb Block er , which promises to control carbohydrate cravings and assist weight loss.This Carb Blocker Pill has an active ingredient made from kidney beans that has been shown to possibly support weight loss efforts. The studies listed on the Dietrine site, which claim that the product is the best, are not quite scientifically strict enough for me. If this works so well why is this website selling lots of other diet pills, including the infamous hoddia, too?I do believe that this won't hurt you in the way that some supplements will, but I'm not so quick to believe huge weight loss claims. Mini-Vacation

Tony took some of his vacation days this weekend and it's been great having him around more. I hate the fact that I don't get to see him a lot as I really do love to hang out with my husband!Last night I had Shabbat with Rabbis from Chabad in Brooklyn. They are so young and sweet and sincere you could almost forget that they are religious zealots. But they are steeped in a tradition that is still so comfortable to me that it's almost disturbing. I ended up being th eonly woman there last night for services and I didn't care--it was lovely and Rabbi Mendel's voice was wonderful.It was special enough that I was willing to take 3 hours off from my vacation with Tony to attend. I was just reviewing my website statistics for http://www.balancenter.net and noticed something pretty disturbing.In the top 5 search phrases were these two--"pilates and osteoporosis fractures" and "can pilates make your back hurt"When will people begin to understand that Pilate s works on the deep stabilizers of the body in intense movements that must be learned slowly and properly? That Pilates can and should be modified for different bodies and conditions because every exercise is not necessarily good for every body? That it is important to learn from properly trained and certified teachers to avoid injury? That learning Pilates from a DVD is inappropriate and should only be undertaken if access to a Pilates teacher is impossible? A Pilates Studio

One the most frustrating things I've been dealing with over the past months is not having a studio to work in. It's very tiring to drive over bad roads all over the island to service my clients, plus it's really confusing from a marketing perspective. I teach in people's homes and resorts, in my living room, at Bodies In Motion just for private mat, and up at a client's home gym where my reformer/tower is.It makes me tired just to write about it!Well, I finally found my pilates studio. 600 square feet on Grace bay Road at under $30 per sf (all other commercial property there is closer to $40 sf). Small bathroom, AC, fans, lots of windows, tile floor--just perfect. I feel so lucky and I am so excited. Last year Rabbis Mendy Lasker and Yossi Zaklos spent 10 days here and enabled us to receive a land grant from the Premier to build a Jewish Community Center.
