I have only been using Extra Virgin Olive Oil as my cleanser and moisturizer. Let me say this- I LOVE EVOO!!!This has been one of the best things I have tried. I like how it?s easy, I only have to use one product and my face is both cleansed and moisturized in one simple step. My face has not felt dry or greasy. I have not noticed any major breakouts, the few I have are hormonal, in fact I should have more zits this time of the month, but I don?t. That?s great!!! I am going to try adding castor oil soon. It?s used to help draw out the impurities. Bananas have plenty of vitamins and minerals, and are pretty cheap at most grocery stores. I routinely see them on sale for .60 cents to .99 cents a pound. Making the mask is easy. For the most basic mask you can just mash one ripe banana and put it on your face for 10 to 20 minutes. For a more luxurious treatment try adding a bit of honey. Some other add in ideas include, yogurt, a drop of rose oil or sweet almond oil, a teaspoon of wheat germ oil, or a few drops of orange or lemon juice. Last night I was reading user reviews of facial moisturizers on MakeupAlley.com (I just ran out of my Sensaria Soothing Moisturizer). While I was looking at the higher rated products I found a lot of people had reviewed Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). I had to check that out, I thought EVOO was for salads and cooking, not your face! As it turns out you can use Extra Virgin Olive Oil for many beauty uses, such as a facial cleanser (more about that in a moment) a facial moisturizer, a skin moisturizer, to soften cuticles, as a hair treatment and even as an eye makeup remover. Like I said I am out of facial moisturizer so I was very interested in that aspect of EVOO. So I put some on my face with a wet wash cloth and came back downstairs to do some more reading. As it turns out you can use Extra Virgin Olive Oil for many beauty uses, such as a facial cleanser (more about that in a moment) a facial moisturizer, a skin moisturizer, to soften cuticles, as a hair treatment and even as an eye makeup remover. Green is in and it?s no surprise that Clorox would want to jump on the bandwagon and make some green (money) off going green. While I do think the Green Works line is a great idea, I?m sure I will try it out; I just don?t know what I think of Clorox owning Burt ?s Bees .
