Happy Moment
2007-07-29 00:59:00 Today I got to shopping with my sis for her wedding dress. We had fun.... And...it does seem Mom was with us. Jenny found her Dream Dress...one like she had drooled over in a magazine. Except this one...wasnt 600.00....it was 220.00. We found it in the first store we went to...and it was 1/2 off the original price! I am so happy for her. Thanks Mom. Jenny will look beautiful! Full Moon on Monday!
2007-07-28 14:35:00 Have you noticed weird or bizarre things happening lately? I have. Friday, at work, that is all it was about, one strange or weird thing after another. It wasn't a typical Friday at all. I jokingly told our service cashier after hearing her weird stories of the day that there was probably a full moon coming up soon. So I went back into the shop and asked Loving Hubby if there was one....(he of course would know) and he said on Monday . HA! Needless to say I was glad to get off work and go back home. Things don't seem to be as weird there....must be because I am used to the antics that go on there. LOL I worked my little tushy off Thursday. I swear! NO wonder I have gained 7 pounds since working. Its actually because I work less when I am there. LOL Having one of those jobs where you spend the majority of your time sitting at a desk is not helpful. I do get to walk around...but not like if I was... More About: Full Moon , Moon , Full , Onda

Who needs the Discovery Kids Channel!!!
2007-07-27 00:20:00 Toddlers fear nothing....as some of you know very well. Things we might find repulsive, they might find particularly pleasing. Case in point. Ally's favorite find of the day: The Cicada Daddy's are definitely good at one thing.....being inventive for Toddler Entertainment. Daddy found a Cicada while taking out the trash. Seems it had a death match with the garage door...the garage door won. He brought it in thinking Jesse (my amateur Photographer with his Birthday Digital) might want to take a few pics...and of course he did....about 60 to be exact. He was scared to touch it.... BUT NOT MY ALLY! Who knew that a dead insect would provide an hour of entertainment for my little one. Her ensuing close relationship with Mr. dead bug grossed Brandy, Jesse, and me out. But who am I to talk? I walked around taking pics of her playing with it. I only had to say "Don't try to pull its eyes out!" once. Not bad...c... I'VE BEEN AN INTERNET GEEK
2007-07-26 03:05:00 I am unsure if all of you have noticed....but I've gone a little commercial with my blogsite. I have decided to try out some new stuff...namely affiliate stuff. Getting my feet wet for when I start my E-business stuff up again, and yes, that includeS Ebay. I think being off for a year is enough to get rid of the "burn out" I hope you all dont mind my ads. LOL Did you like the southern drawl there? LOL I have found my selling niche...now I just have to get it underway...babysteps. Don't want a brain overload!!!!! LOL I'm not divulging my plan just yet.....but I will once its a little more underway. I really want to learn all I need to know and what I need and want before jumping into it...so I'm going really slow on who hosts it....what the domain will be...etc. And of course...any good e-commerce site has some sort of affiliates...etc. Its added income...blah blah blah. I have been picky though. I have only listed places I like on here....not including the bidve... More About: Internet , Geek , Intern , Been
Harry Potter....
2007-07-22 21:04:00 I do believe the madness has reached new heights....once you see this video you will understand. Brandy's boyfriend, Jamey, contributing his rendition of Harry Potter . Too funny! I dont know anymore if I should be worried about letting my daughter date this guy. I'm NOT Superwoman!
2007-07-22 14:07:00 I guess it must be obvious. My husband mentioned yesterday that he thinks here shortly that I should go back to working just the three days a week...and then offer up the idea to my boss that my daughter could work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the days I wouldnt be working. He read my mind! I have been thinking about this quite a while now. I keep taking the extra two days to work when it is offered up....but there are consequences for me doing it. I would feel guilty for passing up extra money if I dont...so I always have Brandy watch Ally and then I go in....then wishing that I still had the day off to do the other stuff that has been ignored. But I will say it has been driving me insane. I am not Superwoman . I am not equipped like some women to handle a small child, older children, a house, husband, and friends like some women. You know who you are. I dont handle all these tasks well when a full time job is thrown in the mix...

Its 12:00am, do you know where your kids are?
2007-07-21 03:40:00 Yep.....the oldest kiddos are at Barnes & Noble. And of course anyone who is anyone knows why that is. The new release of book 7 HARRY POTTER and the Deathly Hollows! Will I be cursed and exiled if I admit to having read "zero" of these books....or only having really watched one of the Harry Potter movies in its's entirety? I love the whole idea of magic and witchcraft just like the next person....but in "My Book".... Magic would be: Ally, my soon-to-be three year old , making the diapers disappear in trade for big girl undies! Blinking and making the spikey whiskers disappear off my hubby's face when he's just about ready to kiss me. The well of my coffee cup never running dry. A tanning pill with no side effects. Finding twenty dollar bills in the washer instead of things like packs of gum, lip gloss, pens, and my daughter's cell phone. Seeing my kids clean up their messes and their rooms without having to make the "Mommy Face." A r... More About: Kids , Where

2007-07-19 03:50:00 Today is literally 3 days since my last blog. What is wrong with me? LOL Lets see if I can fill you in on my exciting life!!!! At work I met a man who inspired me today! He was such a cutie and a sweetie! He was 84 years old, played in a band, drove a car ( only a minor replacement of his side mirror he knocked off at a bank with a stone pillar...lol I guess depth perception just isnt what it used to be once you hit 84 years old!) and he also has a real job as a security guard at a large storage facility for new vehicles. Wow! Who would have thought? His advice to me....."Dont live to be 84 because you can't remember s*it except for how old you are! LMAO! He thought I was "darling" and told me so because I helped him load his amplifier and instrument bag into his repaired car from the rental. I think he made my day! He was so fun and full of life..more than most 30-50 year olds that I work with! I am... More About: Thursday , July
A study in poetry
2007-07-16 03:22:00 A challenge by Kween_of_the_Queens A STUDY IN POETRY A little info about this poem: This is a poem that I wrote....back in 1988 to be exact. I was an unwed mother-to-be at the young age of 18, on the verge of having what would end up being one of the most significant and meaningful moments in my life, June of that year, the birth of my oldest son, Lance. Like most young girls...I was scared beyond belief. I was terrified of the prospect of becoming a mother, the stigma from being a "unwed mother", having to support someone else, losing my youth, altering my future, and the trauma of being scorned and ridiculed by others....the fears were endless. It was a phenominal turning point in my life. And the crossroad of indecision and not knowing what to do, what would be best for me or the child....endless questions and what-ifs. It took me about 15 seconds to make the biggest decision of my life. The choice was made.&... More About: Poetry , Study
The fun is over....LOL
2007-07-16 02:30:00 Well...there you have it guys...my vacation within a vacation. This was Ed's surprise trip. He knew he was going somewhere but he wasnt involved in any of the planning. And it wasnt until we were in the car headed south that he even found out the cities or the type of lodging I cooked up for us. And he was pleasantly suprised about all of it. He told me I should plan little trips for a living...like a travel agent. lol A very sweet compliment. So far, all the trips away from home that I have planned whether it has been for the family or just the two of us has been a great success and we have seen a lot of cool things. Now mind you, all my little trips have cost very little money...because I like it that way. The trip we took to Emerald Isle North Carolina cost us less than 3500.00 and that was the entire family, all 6 of us for a week. And most of our little alone-time getaways cost us under 500.00. I think t...
Friday July 13th...the scenic route home.
2007-07-15 15:42:00 The most bittersweet of days, leaving the heavenly cabin and taking our scenic route back home. We decided to take a ride around the Alto Pass scenic circle, also very well known for the excellent wineries, markets, antiques, and other famous stops. We started by heading to Alto Pass, home of the Root Beer Saloon and Ms. Frogy's Fudge Factory. The Root Beer Saloon had yummy croisannt sandwiches and lots of neat decorations ranging from a miniature T-Rex skeleton, a mummy, a very old Harley, and the original bar and maintained interior from when it was built! The fudge factory was closed to our dismay...due to the passing of the owner. How sad! And then, Austin's Antiques....located in a 1928 Grade School. I bought an adorable Bone China Teacup and saucer...but I found a Barbie Camper like the one I had as a kid! A quick but exciting stroll down memory lane. Along the way we caught site of a neat look-out point, giving us a great view... More About: Home , Friday , Route , July , Frida
THURS July 12th: Part Two
More articles from this author:2007-07-15 14:49:00 A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN: The second cabin Ed had a chance to get his pole wet....LOL I just loved all the wildlife around me, the birds, the squirrels, the frogs, and the deer! I befriended this little frog...he was smaller than a dime. I let him go though....But I was tempted to keep him! The hot tub at nite. Heavenly! Me in the hot tub...check out those ugly tan lines I got from the Air Show...Blahhhh! LOL This place was heaven. I could live there in a heart beat. The place had everything, including a fireplace I never had the chance to use. We got to paddle boat around on the lake at sunset.....this place really was a photographers dream. Something beautiful everywhere you looked. Food for the soul!!!! And a great place to connect with the one you love! We will definitely go back there. More About: Part , July 1, 2 |
