All too soon

This last week Justin and Zachary put in a closet organizer in Emily's closet. I had been wanting to do this before she was even born and in fact I had a gift certificate to make it but time just got away from us and we just now got around to it. As I was putting things back in her closet I came upon my wedding dress and veil and thought it would be cute to put it on Emily and take some pictures. And then the thought struck me that all too soon she will be putting on her own veil and her daddy will be walking her down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams. ( I must admit the thought made me a little teary eyed) Almost daily someone tells me that we need to enjoy the time we have with her now while she is little because in the blink of an eye she will be off on her own. We pray that the values and faith that we are teaching her will guide her as she grows up and that one day she will put her faith in Jesus Christ. Whiskeytown Falls

We decided to take a hike on Saturday evening to Whiskeytown falls. I am not much for hiking, in fact I don't like it at all. If it is just walking on semi flat ground amongst the trees with beautiful scenery then I am okay with that, but as for climbing massive mountains I hate it. None of us had any idea what kind of a hike it would be seeing as we had never been there but we decided to go for it. It ended up being a 3.4 mile round trip hike with a climb of about 700 feet in elevation. The falls itself is a 220 foot cascading waterfall and very pretty. Emily absolutely loved it. For a majority she road in the backpack and had a huge smile on her face and would laugh sometimes when Zachary would bounce a little. Then she started getting cold so Zachary bundled her up in my sweatshirt and he carried her at which one point she fell asleep in his arms. A new cousin

We are so excited to have Anna Kathleen in our family now. She came 2 1/2 weeks early and is the cutest little thing. My sister is amazing. She called me Friday morning at 4:00am and said that her water broke and she was headed to the hospital. By the time that she got there she was already dilated to a 9 and was ready to have Anna. She did the whole thing drug free and Anna was born shortly after she arrived. I am sure she will have a lot more to say about it on her blog when she has a little time. We were able to see her minutes after Anna was born and she is beautiful. They are both doing great and get to come home today. It is going to be so much fun to watch Anna and Emily grow up together. I can't go very long without posting cute pictures of my baby girl. I had fun playing with my camera the other day and I really like how this picture turned out. My camera has so many features and I have not even begun to take advantage of them all yet. I am very excited because now that Justin is home he can teach me a lot of things about picture taking and terms that I need to know. He is awesome in that area. Thanks Justin!! Emily just loves her bath time. She can sit by herself in the sink now and loves to get everything is the surrounding area wet. Sometimes I'll turn on the water and she tries to grab the water. So cute!! She is such a blast and is almost always content and happy with life.

Bike Ride

Zachary and I along with Trish, Steve, Jeremy and Kristi went on a bike ride Sunday afternoon. Zachary took me on a test ride the day before because I hadn't ridden with him yet and I was a little nervous. But after I got over the fact that I was sure we would fall over it was great fun. On Sunday we rode about 75 miles and had dinner along the way. We realized after we got back that is was the first time that we had gone out for fun without Emily since she has been born. I guess it was about time we had a date. Our only mishap was that I got stung by something and I have a huge welt on my side from it. I am ready to go for another ride!!

Alicia's Baby Shower

Last weekend was Alicia's baby shower and we had a great time. She received so many cute things and I think she is as ready as she can be for Anna to be here. Emily thought that several of the things Alicia got were so cute and she might have to break them in for Anna before she comes. Trish and I with Heather's contributions made her the cute diaper cake pictured below. It was so much fun to put together and I think it turned out adorable.In other news Emily has inherited her daddy's allergies. Poor little thing has a hard time sucking her thumb when she can't breathe through her nose. She is a trooper though and still gives us lots of smiles despite her stuffy nose. We are enjoying the cooler weather here and have had several picnics at the park. She absolutely loves to be outside.

Uncle Justin is home!!

We are so excited to finally have Justin back. Now we are just waiting for Katie to come home. Justin just adores Emily and loves to hold her whenever he comes over. She has given him lots of her smiles and loves the extra attention. He was over at our house until 1am his first night which meant that he had been up for 24 hours. Thanks for sacrificing sleep to spend time with us Justin. Zachary and Justin started practicing music for church and it is so fun to listen to them together.I am trying my hand at some digital scrapbooking hence the page that I posted of Justin and Emily. I found some free digital kits that I can play around with to see if I like it. I still like the hands on approach but I am having fun learning the digital stuff.I can't believe that Emily will be 6 months old on the 7th of September. She had her 6 month well baby check-up today and weighed in at 15lbs. 13oz. and is 26 inches long. She can now sit up on her own and loves to see things from this view ...

Photo Shoot

Today we went to the park for a little impromptu photo shoot. Emily just loves the camera and always gives us her best when she sees us with it. If you would like to see the rest of the pictures you can see them on Zachary's Maczach siteNot much else happening around here lately. Just trying not to go outside so to avoid the scorching heat. Finally found a washer that we are picking up tomorrow. I guess that means I will be doing a few weeks worth of laundry tomorrow. Zachary and I are trying to make a lot of decisions regarding jobs, house, and cars so please be in prayer with us about these issues.Emily is doing just great. She can sit up by herself for the most part. She is eating great. So far her little palette has tasted applesauce, peaches, carrots, and green beans (definitely not her favorite). She is such a joy!! It's weird to think that she is only 5 1/2 months old. It seems like she has been in our lives forever.

We are back

Em and I had a great time visiting family in Pahrump!! We were so spoiled while we were there. Keith and Kim got to introduce Emily to their church family and everyone thought she was the cutest thing ever. She even went up front with Paj and and loved all the attention she received. I think that she wanted to start preaching because she tried to eat the microphone. We did some shopping in Vegas and Emily was a trooper. We headed back to Aneheim on Thursday and on Friday morning Emily got her first taste of Disneyland. I must say that she absolutely loved it. I wanted to get her a "friend" while I were there but World of Disney didn't open in time. So Heather decided that she would go back into Disneyland (I love that she has a season pass) and get a "friend" for her. She loves her new Dumbo. Hopefully next time we are there we can actually go inside the gate. All in all we had a great time and I am so glad that we were able to go so that Emily could spend some time with her Grandp...

We are off

Emily and I are headed to Pahrump in a few hours. Well, actually first we are headed to San Francisco and then tomorrow we are going to Anaheim where Kim will pick us up and go to Pahrump. I can't believe that I am going to be literally minutes away from Disneyland and not be able to go there. Things have pretty much been the same ol' thing around here. We are playing the waiting game, first for Emily's new cousin Anna to be here in 8 1/2 weeks and also for Auntie Bean and Uncle Stain to move back. Let's see what else can I tell you about...Emily found her toes and now those are her favorite things to suck on and our washing machine broke. It puts black spots all over our clothes now. Not quite the fashion statement I wanted to make. So I am back to the old days where I would lug my laundry to the parents house to wash them. Not so much fun!! I guess that will be all for now. I will not be able to post until I get back due to the fact that I have to leave my computer ...
